Audrey chuckles at her words, "I'm sorry about that. I'm Audrey Kent, Professor Audrey Kent," she greets, holding out her hand to shake. "It's nice to meet you," she continues, smiling at the other woman. She blushes a little at her words before composing herself. "Uh thank you," she says, "Would you like to come in?"
Audrey looked around her new office, placing things around the small room to make it feel more like her own. She stepped outside to grab her other box, filled to the brim with books. What else would you expect from an English Lit professor? She opened the door though,...

Audrey watched her make her way inside and sit down, following after the student. Oh, I see. A few days of my class? That should be fine. She smiles a little, sitting behind her desk as she looks at her. Thank you, for coming to see me. I'll take note of the dates, if that's alright. And then closer to when you'll be off I can make sure you get everything you've missed in class. Does that sound okay?

Yes, I am. Her face fell as she noticed the poor girl stumble to the floor. She was quick to bend down, intent on helping the young student up. I really am very sorry about that. I hope I didn't hurt you too much. Please, come inside. Sit down. She opened the door wider, gesturing the dark haired girl inside as she grimaced.

What else would you expect from an English Lit professor? She opened the door though, thoughts focused elsewhere, bumping straight into another body. Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there. Can I uh, help you with something? She asked the other person, hands fluttering over her clothes and hair to help make her look presentable. She managed a polite smile at the person she's knocked into.

Oh. I think I've heard about those twin boys. I don't think I can beat that honestly. Though that's smart, I may have to use that on my own daughter.
Dealing with a tired and grumpy little girl is no fun. But I suppose that’s what I get for lettin her stay up as late as she can on NYE.

Well that's very nice of you. I'm sure she appreciates the help. Especially with twins.
I’m sure they are. Do you mind if I ask, who’s they are?

I’m sure. Oh, thank you. I think it suits her. Tali is a very lovely name too. Is it short for anything?

I suppose everyone has their moments though.
True. Though I’m sure you’d channel it better then a four year old.

Most probably. But when you’re four years old you don’t exactly know how to channel that grumpiness or tiredness.

That is very true. And I’m sorry to have assumed. My daughter Justine is four too.
