Tori Vega loves Pokemon. She is competing with her crush, Jade West for the spot as the new gym leader after Sikowitz retires. Her Lucario and Gardevoir are also a hard duo to beat when they compete in contests. 

Jade West is a formidable opponent in battle. She loves to fight anyone who’s up to it. She is the apprentice of gym leader Sikowitz and hopes to take over his position soon. Because the gym doesn’t have a specific type, she will be able to use any of her Pokemon to battle challengers. 

There’s only one problem. She’s competing for the spot with a very eager woman named Tori Vega.The two of them don’t get long, but they are both harboring feelings for each other.

Cat Valentine loves baby Pokemon. Her Azurill is her favorite, but her Mine Jr. is a close second. Sometimes, she likes to put on little plays for her friends with her Pokemon.

Meloetta found Taylor when she was young because the Pokemon can tell when someone will be a star and she instantly took a liking to Swift.

Beca, after beating her final Pokemon, gave Chloe her Ninetails. The other girl was so ecstatic she almost kissed Beca but went for the cheek instead. Her Sylveon, Zara, is the best at putting her and Chloe in awkward situations with its ribbons. Her Meloetta has been in the family for generations, passed down from mother to daughter. Beca is a DJ when she isn't battling with wanna be Champions. Her Chimecho, Belle, has been with her since the beginning and its beautiful haunting bell-like sounds are what drew her to music. Aubrey is a Ground/Rock Gym Leader that has been teaching at Barden Trainer school in her spare time. Aubrey has chosen Rock and Ground as her type to specialize in because the element is sturdy and almost never changing. Sure, there's wheathering and rivers that can change the face of the Earth, but the rock will still be here. She prides herself on her ability to stand strong in the face of opositing-- namely Beca, as Champion, telling her it's time to change the look of her Gym. She and Beca don't get along and it's only worse because Beca and Chloe have the hots for each other. Aubrey became enamored with Rock/Ground types when she found a wounded Geodude that was still trying to make its way back to the others all the way up the mountain. She helped it and they bonded, beginning her on the path to becoming a strong gym leader. Raven’s Joltic is her loyal companion, always in her pocket or on her shoulder, but all of her Pokemon help out in her workshop once she lands on the ground. She found a wounded Beldum in the woods and fixed it up.

The only Pokemon Octavia had while under the floorboard and later in jail were her Buneary and Torchic. Riolu is her brother’s but he let her play with it and it slowly bonded with her so that it stays with her to protect her. 

Lexa has a Celebi because all of the Commanders are connected to the Spirit of the Forset. This Pokemon can sense the new Commander and will find them. Her first Pokemon, a Turtwig, has grown as she has grown. He is so proud of her and is willing to stand by her forever.
