Plans for 2024
((Hi. Hello. This is your very tired Melly, still determined to pick this up again, but still too exhausted to do so. I wanted you all to know I still do want to do this, though, so I figured the least I could do was share my current thoughts.
What I know I need to do is all pretty simple:
Sort my notes and references into something coherent
Finish planning the Gingka event
Finish going through the Gingka event (currently nearing the end of part 2)
Prepare things for the next event
Stop relying on asks--I just don't get enough to work with.
Stop forcing myself to draw for everything--I don't have the ability to right now.
That last point...kind of hurts, to be honest. One of the biggest starting thoughts for this blog was to have a drawing outlet, but right now I'm struggling so much I drew exactly two things last year and barely have the motivation for anything else. I have the rest of the answers for this first part of the Gingka event written, but I haven't posted them because I don't have art to go with them.
This has led me to considering two options regarding the way I continue this blog:
I could drop the art aspect entirely unless I happen to feel inspired for something. I don't really want to do this, because it feels...wrong, somehow. But I'll try it if it gets things moving again.
I could, perhaps...try to get some help. Someone to do the art, or at least the sketches, for me. I'm very uncertain about this, because I don't communicate well and my project management skills are laughable. I also don't know if I could find someone whose art fits the way I see this blog and the Madoka I'm creating, if that makes sense.
Obviously, none of this is really concrete, and it certainly doesn't point to a return any time soon. But I promise this blog is always on my mind, even if just a little. I want to share this story with you all, and I hope I can find a way to make that happen.))

The pipes in my house burst and we need help fixing them any amount is helpful! The cost is 800 and we need it repair asap as it's leaking thru the top floor and damaging the wood. The pipes are behind a wall so we have to have it tore opened, as well as the pipes being copper -meaning we have to have them soldered to fix them. The wood underneath the pipes on the top floor has to be replaced as it is to water damage already.

((Hello! It's time for another life update! And for once, it's hopeful news.))
((I'm starting to get out of the funk I've been in for over a year; processing some things better, understanding some problems better, and overall just feeling more like I have the capacity to care about trying things again.))
((I also got a new tablet yesterday! It's not specifically for drawing, but it's portable and I can sketch on it and most importantly:))
((I drew This with it! This is literally the second thing I have drawn all freaking year, and it's far from perfect, but it's still a Hopeful Something rather than a Miserable Nothing.))
((I don't see the current hiatus as ending soon quite yet, but we're on our way!))

((Helloooo, who’s tired of more mod posts than answer posts? Me, that’s for sure. But I wanna be transparent here, so let’s go.))
((I think the last thing I drew in any real manner was probably the answer I just posted. And that was iiiin....November. Yeah. I am out of practice and unreasonably nervous about trying to draw anything again, though I really do love the little pieces I’ve put with the last 2 answers. I wanna keep doing that.))
((However... Even though I know what I want to do, and it’s really not that hard, the next answer got kinda big. Like, 650+ words big. I’ve got it marked for 3 of those little art pieces to help break it up, but I’m mentally having trouble getting started. So basically, I don’t know when I’m going to get that one done. Which sucks because it’s one of only a few to be done before things move on to the next story piece.))
((But I will get there. I’m going to try my best to pull myself out of this nervous funk and get drawing again. There’s so much I want to make even outside this blog, and I just need to get started.))

((I have all of the answers written out for the walk back to the shop. That’s all ready! Unfortunately, I’ve kinda strained my wrist and can’t work on the art for them because of that.))
((I’m gonna try to take it easy for a few days to let it rest. Thankfully, I know the direction I’m going with all of these, so once I get into it, it shouldn’t be too hard.))

((Anyways, I think I’m about ready to, at the very least, answer the two asks I’ve got. They’ll sort of be like a test run for the way I want to try doing things from now on. Depending on how I feel about those, we may be able to move forward soon and get a bit more story! Which is very exciting for me!!))

Moving Update
((Hey, does anyone remember back in January when I said I was preparing to move, and that’s what started the hiatus?))
((It’s October now. Guess who finally did that moving thing??))
((I’m so tired. But I’ve been here a week now, my cat’s doing well, I organized a bit yesterday, and today I got my new desk and computer set up. I’m just about settled in!))
((This took...far too long. But I’m finally here, and I’m hoping this will give me the push I need to get back to some of my projects. At least one of them. At least this one. That would be really nice.))
