Kinda a what if question, but what differences in the story would there be if the other twin survived? Like, what if it were Riri and Kaia who were the surving twin, ?

If Eli had been killed but Riri survived, Riri likely wouldn’t survive long on her own. She’s compassionate, and it’s likely that hunters would’ve taken advantage of her compassion and killed her. If she survived and she met Warren instead of Eli, she would be much more sympathetic, and her approach on things may change Warren’s perspective of monsters and his approach towards the Legion’s mission as a whole. She probably would want to help Warren with his personal goals (there are very specific reasons why Warren joined the Legion in the first place, and she would likely be sympathetic with this). If Riri had taken Eli’s place in the story, it’s likely she wouldn’t have tried to kill Daki or Kaia, leaving both twins alive.

If Eli had killed Daki instead of Kaia, she would be on a warpath to kill Eli. She’s physically stronger and taller than Eli and she could likely take him down singlehandedly, if it weren’t for her arrogance underestimating him. It would be unlikely for one of them to live while the other survived and either Eli or Kaia would get killed by each other soon after Daki’s death.
