Just a bit of rendering practice to see if I can do a slightly more natural lighting style on a face without spending all day doing it. Getting a bit faster at it, thankfully.
What do you guys think?

Back in 2018 I started doing fantasy character commissions, and posted this character as one of my first example pieces. I decided to redraw her to see if I'd progressed and learned anything since. And like... I think so? I've included the original to compare. What do you guys think?
Commissions are still open for anyone wanting to see their character (or characters, or whole party) in this style!

These prices include a simple, out of focus background, as seen above. Illustrations are for shots that are more than just a bust of portrait, up to and including full body imaged.

Spent a bit of time doing this study. I think it's reflections that really sell armour as feeling more real, even if they're just scribbles. All reflections. everywhere. I've gotta incorporate that more into my non-study work.
Anyway, what do you guys think?

Hey there, folks! I'm thrilled to share some new artwork featuring Khiri, the wood elf, straight from the pages of Christina Dickinson's epic fantasy novel, Waking the Burning Valley.
This is the first of four characters she had me illustrate for the story, so I'm looking forward to sharing the rest soon.
You can check out Christina Dickinson's captivating world and delve into the adventures of Khiri and other magical characters on her website: Christina Dickinson Writes.

Here's a commission of a character named Lucille, who's very into card tricks. Violent card tricks. Potentially explosive card tricks? I wasn't told.
Anyway, hope you guys like it! :)
Commissions still open for anyone interested!
