I’m not sure what “feminism” has come to but friendly reminder that PUBLICLY interrogating your friend about all of the most private, intimate, details of her personal sex life while she is trying to have a relaxing afternoon by a pool is not exactly revolutionary feminist activism. Especially not when every woman has different experiences and trauma and many women struggle with self esteem.
Seriously one of my friends did this yesterday to my other friend and publicly mocked and bullied her for being “sexually frustrated” because she hasn’t had a penis inside of her yet by a public pool where the sound echoes off of the concrete and anyone can hear everything!
She then said “I love feminism! I love that we can talk about this!” No you are not being a sex positive feminist you are publicly embarrassing your friend!!!
Watching “Sex and the city” really convinced a generation of women that being a rich straight white woman in a big city who has friends she over shares about her private life with is inherently what “feminism” looks like 🙄
All this does is make women compete against each other for experiences with men and it is fucking WEIRD and INVASIVE and DISRESPECTFUL and SOCIALLY INEPT and fucking RUDE! It was none of her fucking business to be publicly invasive like that. Can we bring back social propriety???? Do men talk to each other like this????
Women today think this is “feminism” while we still don’t have maternity leave, childcare, etc!!! And sex education and contraception is under attack!

So I’ve been teaching 6th grade since January, and one thing about my female students which made me upset to realize is how many of them are obsessed with skincare. I've heard the girls in my class discussing the EYE CREAM they use. Like tf you mean eye cream? You're ELEVEN!!! I'm a decade older than you and have never even touched eye cream!! The most skincare a middle schooler needs is cleanser and moisturizer, maybe some acne cream. Who tf is selling you all this other stuff? Who tf told you you needed all this?
It hurts me to see. Their brains are too young for these types of insecurities 😭 no 11 year old girl should be obsessed with wrinkles, I wanna beat tf out of whatever tiktoker made them believe they needed skin that perfect

We may laugh about it but even among adults holding a hand up is still a perfectly good way to join a conversation without interrupting or adding noise and distraction.

In light of recent events I want to remind everyone of this creepy misogynistic SNL skit about how “”””funny”””””it would be for O.J. Simpson to lie and manipulate women into having sex with him and him being congratulated by the black server 🙄.
Fuck this SNL skit and fuck Keenan Thompson and Gal Gadot for thinking this was a good scene idea 🤬

The government doesn't want you to know this but you can get one pound of whole dried peas, soak them overnight in water, around 8 to 10 hours. Make sure there's enough water, they're going to suck it right up. Around eight or nine cups should be enough. The next day, now listen to me: there's going to be water left in there. You're going to keep it. You're going to boil the peas in that water. Just let it boil and then lower it down to a simmer. Now, you don't need anything fancy here: salt, pepper, marjoram will work just fine. If you wanna get fancy a couple of stock cubes can give it a bit of extra flavor. Chop an onion, and add that in there. You can also add some diced ham (about a pound) or carrot in there if you like. I ain't a cop. You're gonna want to cook this for about two to three hours. You're also gonna wanna have about a cup of water extra, just in case it comes out too thick, you can always water it down. Bam, you're done. And if anyone asks, you didn't hear this from me.

I feel like we are more focused on the personal “morality” of those with wealth and power than addressing the systemic problems that make their lack of “morality” more influential.
What I’m trying to say is that people seem to be more interested in salacious stories of rich people throwing big parties or rich people being promiscuous or being on drugs when the truth is that poor people do all of these things too! Poor communities are the ones disproportionately affected by drug trafficking, sex trafficking, etc.
We need to more clearly address that the problem is that the wealthy and powerful have greater influence to do bad things, and that marginalized people are disproportionately impacted. I don’t care to hear about rich people having consenting adult sex parties or adults consensually using illicit substances.
I DO care about trafficking victims and abuse victims and people struggling with addiction. I just think it’s potentially dangerous to act like these are super secret things that only rich people do and act like your community can’t be impacted in a similar way.
No class of people are inherently more or less likely to do terrible things. The difference is the scope of impact and the power and influence. That is the difference between Jefferey Epstein and a lower class street pimp.

The White House is announcing new gun safety reform with plans to close the so-called "gun show loophole." Officials in the Biden administration say that under the new rule background screenings will soon be required before anyone can buy guns online or in person at gun shows.

Your parents are not "narcissists". They're typical authoritarian assholes who treat you like their property because society allows them to.
Your ex boyfriend is not a "narcissist". He's a typical misogynistic douchebag who treats women like shit because society allows him to.
Your boss is not a "narcissist". They're a typical classist dipshit who thinks workers' entire purpose in life is to generate profit because society allows them to.
And even if they happen to be a "narcissist", that's not what gave them the power to get away with abuse.
So stop blaming mental illness and start blaming society's normalization of abuse. Stop acting like someone has to have a mental illness in order to do something cruel when ordinary people have been doing atrocious things since forever.

are certain lubes better suited for vaginal or anal sex? or are they all the same?
hi anon,
water-based, oil-based, and silicone-based lube are all suitable for either vaginal or anal sex. many people prefer silicone-based lubricants for anal sex because it's so long-lasting and durable, which is helpful when you're working with an orifice that won't naturally lubricate itself. oil-based lubricants are also a no-go with latex condoms, which is relevant for both vaginal and anal sex. beyond that it's all a matter of personal preference!

Not to be all crunchy granola conspiracy theorist but acrylic nails are literally made out of micro plastics (and return to micro plastics when they’re ground off) and there’s comparatively little regulation as to what goes into cosmetics, and using false lashes involves sticking glue right next to your ocular mucosa, which is more vulnerable to absorbing germs and chemicals than skin, and most hair dye is literally so bad for you that you’re not supposed to use it when you’re pregnant.
It’s just not good for you and it is completely avoidable.
I’m not suggesting all chemicals are evil and we need to make everything from scratch, but I do think that it’s something to be considered.
