Dream Demons

I was rewatching Rick and Morty and noticed that the dream demon Scary Terry and his species(?) in s1 e2 all have yellow eyes with a black slit. Remind anyone else of Bill Cipher from Gravity Falls???

Mb this was unintentional, but since the creators of the 2 shows are friends and have done other easter eggs, I doubt it's a coincidence. Maybe the Rick and Morty dream demons are an alternate version of Bill Cipher’s og dimension or mb very distantly related?

I only say that the Rick and Morty dream demons aren’t closely/directly related to Bill Cipher and/or Bill’s og dimension bc I think it’s cannon that Bill destroyed his 2D dimension when heescaped from it.
