online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.

and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.

there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.

i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.

Every april I try to use these specific account' prompts to do a writing challenge. Last year i only did 10..however, I find them very inspiring. I write them in a notebook but considering how I haven't been writing fanfics for such a long time - maybe I should share a few here?

It’s all coming. Whatever you’re starving for, whatever that ache is that stings your bones, it’s coming. The love, the happiness, the adventures, and the creativity that you are seeking, it is all coming for you. Here’s the thing, don’t let your right now get away. The things you find mundane, keep them. Store them in the pocket of your favorite coat like found pennies. They aren’t futile. Do not let them cause you to feel empty and hollow. They are going to be worthwhile. Keep the hunger for what is coming, but please, keep a tight grip on these little ordinary moments that are happening right now, because they – these tiny pieces of this ordinary affair you find yourself in – are the foundation to your extraordinary. And I promise you, if you begin to recognize your right now, you’ll see your extraordinary coming.  

“modern humans are too alienated to care for each other” okay but there was a place I used to order takeout from through GrubHub a couple times a week and I always put “NO [INGREDIENT] PLEASE I AM ALLERGIC” and one time I forgot to write it so the owner of the restaurant called me to check if they should put the ingredient in or not. and another time I asked if they could please bring it up instead of me going down to the bottom floor because i was sick and the owner dispensed with the GrubHub driver and brought it to me himself with an extra treat in it. and that’s what life has always been about I think. I think we can still love each other as humans even with everything.

Hello Aqua!! So sorry as this seems so random but I just wanted to say I really really like your obm diavolo 'my only one‘ fic!! It was like one of the first few obey me fics I read and even though I‘m not into obey me anymore I still remember the fic from time to time and I always come back to reread it and its still as good (and hurts as much) as the first time i read it!! i want to apologize again for this being so random but I just finished rereading it again and just want to say thank you!! (Filled with emotion rn and idk how to put it into words but ily!! /p)

This is geniunely one of the nicest asks i have gotten. Please do not apologize!! I am filled with emotion as well 😭😭.

That fic was the entire start of this blog and it was a huge deal for me. I wrote fics when I was a young teenager and as I was playing obey me during that time - I got the idea and couldn't get it out of my brain. I just had to write it. But, I was a bit scared to get back into this world and I beat that fear with THAT specific fic. Legit, this blog was made to get that out there and I did not know what would happen after.

After I wrote other fics and even got into genshin of course. And now, that I have gotten more busy, I haven't been writing at all and I was thinking of maybe deleting or archiving or something. But, this ask reminded me how much love can exist for words and how that would be a shame. Thank you so much.

I have obey me on my phone still but haven't opened it in months. Who knows when I will write again? Nobody, but it would be a shame to take away this space I created for those ideas. Thank you very much, once more. You are lovely. Take care of yourself 🩷🩷
