*comes out of lesson 23 covered in blood: ...well
Can't believe after FIVE SEASONS we finally got to the crux of Mammon's issues, of his shitty self-esteem, of how despite being one of the kindest and the most selfless characters in om (hello orphan child? hello hole-rock demon?) he's never seen that in himself, that he thinks every good thing he does is for his own benefit (yes he needs to learn and grow and learn to let his own personality shine through even with his innate Greed crushing him so he can reach the point of S1 where he'll willingly let himself be extorted just so some random kid can have a happy life but even in Nightbringer he was doing so much just for his brothers' and MC's benefit)
God the amount of self-hatred it takes to reach the point of thinking the only thing you've done is hurt others even when you're trying to help them and that the only thing you are or you ever will be is awful, to reach the point that you believe you're not deserving of any kindness or love in return, to reach the point of thinking you're such a bad person that you begin to scare yourself even when everyone who has interacted with you can tell you that's objectively not true
To believe all that,
Only for someone to hold you and say with the certainty of someone who has seen the future, and knows all the good you will do and all the bad you will do, and loves you through it all "You are kind. You are good. You are deserving. You have always been and you always will be."
Only for someone to hold you and say with no knowledge of the future but with the certainty of someone who loves you unconditionally "So what? I will still love you. I will still protect you. Even if one day your thorns threaten to tear me apart, nothing will change."

After 5 straight days of playing it I've grown to appreciate twst's MC but literally nothing can beat OM!'s MC and how fucking insane they are
I'm in tears they don't even have an option to be worried about the fact that their insanely powerful friends are changing the very weather at will and could potentially destroy the school/hurt bystanders, it's Lucifer who says "hey maybe let's not".
Same as how consistently they spoke back to Mammon or taunted Levi in S1 before they were even friends or had pacts, same as how when asked there's no option for MC to say they don't like horror or how when a giant doll starts walking towards them they have 0 fear, not to mention the halloween event where not only were they they a 110% okay with getting murdered they also presumably found it hot
MC in a nutshell:

「Learn Japanese」 Kansai-ben and Intro to Japanese Dialects (What is Hougen?)
方言 (ほうげん/hougen) is a linguistic term that means “dialect.” Similar to how English is spoken differently depending on where you are regionally, the Japanese language sounds varied depending on the background of the speaker. The most general division of language and culture for Japanese would be between Eastern Japanese and Western Japanese. Western Japanese is broadly represented by Tokyo-type Japanese, otherwise known as standard Japanese, e.g. that which is taught in formal education, used in media, etc. As for Eastern Japanese, a lot of different dialects attribute to it, but perhaps the most well-known is Kansai-ben/Osaka-ben (弁/べん/ben here is the suffix that means “dialect, speech”).
While the dialects of the United States for the most part showcase minor discrepancies, the dialects of the Japanese language are distinct not only in terms of peculiar vocabulary (such as set words, phrases, and slang) and pronunciation stlye (particular intonation, emphasis, etc.) but also notably different grammar rules.
To date, all of the formal grammar videos posted on this channel have been in accordance to Eastern, Tokyo-type Japanese, due to it being the standard Japanese.
Here is a brief demonstration of the Kansai dialect and how its grammar, specifically conjugation of verbs, differs from standard Japanese.
Intro to Kansai-ben:
3 Common Kansai-ben Phrases:
Standard Japanese: だめ (dame)
Meaning: “no good”
Kansai-ben: あかん (akan)
Standard Japanese: とても (totemo)
Kansai-ben: めっちゃ (meccha)
Meaning: “very”
Example: めっちゃかわいい (meccha kawaii) as opposed to とてもかわいい (totemo kawaii), both of which mean “very cute”
Standard: ばか (baka)
Meaning: “idiot”
Kansai-ben: あほ (aho)
Grammar Differences between Kansai-ben and Standard Japanese:
The ない in the Negative-ない Form becomes へん (and sometimes even just ん)
知らない (しらない/shiranai) becomes しらへん (shirahen) or しらん (shiran)
分からない (わからない/wakaranai) becomes わからへん (wakarahen) or わからん (wakaran)
The ません in the Negative Polite Form becomes まへん
*Additionally, ええ is used in lieu of いい to mean “good”
The いる in て-Form Verb + いる becomes ねん
何をしている becomes 何してねん
