I was able to do some water studies today!

I’m planning on entering an art competition and the theme is water, but I don’t know how to paint that, so I did some studies! I’m really happy with how the green one specifically, turned out! And I’m really excited for this art competition. Fingers crossed I don’t lose motivation for it. (🤞🤞🤞)

I got an Apple Pencil (stylus) for Christmas, and I’ve been trying it out!! I am SO frickin’ happy I have this thing! It makes it SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH EASIER!! I’m not done with this one yet; it’s just a rough draft. I started drawing a different one and I think I’ll be finishing that one before I come back to this one.

I woke up to make ONE post, and instead I’ve posted to Instagram, Reddit, and now Tumblr. TikTok will have to wait a little longer, unfortunately.

Anyways. I painted this to practice painting/drawing makeup, something I’m not very good at yet. I think it turned out okay, but I do wish it was just a little bit more close to the reference photo I was working off of. Specifically the color of the shadows. It’s okay. I’m just not there yet.

3 of 5 of the Christmas presents I made this year!

The earrings are for my boyfriend, the blue and pink cloud painting is his younger sibling’s, and the fan art of Louise Belcher is for his little sister.

I’m super happy with how they turned out and I’m excited for the new year! I want to post more on other platforms like Tumblr this year, so look forward to seeing some more things!

An experimental sketch I did a few days ago. I do really like how it turned out, but I think it would look better with color. I didn’t use color because it’s pencil and it would’ve smudged horribly, but next time I’ll add color.
