listen. we need to talk about purity culture in this fandom. there is a lot of hate going around about people “jumping ship” to buck/tommy and how it ruins buddie. y’all need to get the idea out of your head that if buck and eddie arent each others first (and then last) queer relationship that is somehow diminishes what they have. it doesn't. buck could fuck 100 men and it wouldn't diminish what they have because contrary to popular belief, sex doesn’t always equal love. holding buck to some arbitrary standard of purity when he’s not even canonically dating eddie is wild. anyway.

Okay someone asked me earlier "Hey CT, you study the occult for a living, off the top of your head, what's the most popular form of the occult in today's world?"
Pseudo-nutrition. Bar none. A massive amount of the fad dieting world goes beyond simple misinformation and ignorance and full on into a systemized non-scientific theory of anatomy and nutrition that 100% qualifies as magic. If you replace the term "toxins" with "evil ghosts" half of these blogs would sound like sumerian curse tablets.

You’re placed in a room with an animal. The door is closed and you cannot leave. The animal is completely calm and has no intent of harming you. You are in no danger unless you provoke the animal in some way.

Carole took Bradley to the new animated film The Little Mermaid the last week the Flyboys were all deployed. It was Wolf and Wood's last deployment and while she worried and Bradley missed his Mav and all the uncles, Carole was glad they had this time together.
Carole his her grin behind her straw as the sea and land creatures beckoned the main characters to kiss. A quick glance at Bradley made it funnier. Instead of being horrified like she assumed her 9 year old son would be, he was clearly working something out in his head. She hoped it wouldn't be questions she wasn't ready to answer. After the movie, Bradley admitted that Sebastian was his favorite because he reminded Bradley of Mav. Carole laughed aloud, she'd seen far more of Leo in the character, but she understood Bradley's view. After a week with no questions, Carole finally let her guard down.
That's why she was caught so off-guard when Bradley mentioned the movie again over breakfast the day of the Flyboy's scheduled return. "Mom, do you think Mav and Ice might take me to see the movie again?"
Carole knew without a single thought those two would do anything Bradley asked. "I'm sure they will Bird. I don't know if they'll love it, but I'm sure they will."
"Great!" Bradley tossed the exclamation over his shoulder as he put his cereal bowl in the sink. "I can't wait."
A few hours later, the house was full of boisterous celebration. Carole scurried around offering cold beer and snacks to the Flyboy's celebrating their last deployment together.
Carole bumped Ron's shoulder when she placed a cool beer in his hand. "I assume you two will be the next to take the desks?"
Ron shrugged, "I wouldn't mind, Sarah would like it better," he pointed at Ice with his beer, "He's not ready. I'm not sure he will be until Shortstack is."
Carole smiled, "Pete will never be ready. Don't let him dictate what you do. You deserve what you want, too, Ron."
Three days later, a horrified pair of aviators dropped Bradley back off at home. Tom stood, just barely inside the door, frozen in his spot. Mav hugged Carole, a blush evident on his cheek. Bradley hugged them both again, "Thank for taking me, I'm sorry."
Bradley walked to his room and shut the door. Carole crossed her arms and glared at Mav. "What happened?"
Mav shook his head, "Nothing, it's no big deal."
Carole tried again, "Pete, what happened?"
Mav was unwilling to say a word so Carole changed her tack. "Tom? Or should I make Bird march back out here and explain it?"
Ice shook his head, "Carole, it's really fine. Bradley didn't do anything wrong. It isn't his fault, he shouldn't need to understand it all."
Carole was confused and motioned for him to continue and Ice heaved a sigh. "You've seen the movie?"
Carole nodded and tapped her foot impatiently.
"When the animals were seranading the couple, Bradley was shoving Mav and whispering that he should kiss the boy. He was trying to get us to kiss. He didn't understand why we couldn't. We had a little chat with him on the way back and how he can't talk about that part of our lives for us. He understood, but he is embarrassed."
Carole stood there silently for a full two minutes before the scene took shape in her mind. She collapsed on the couch in a heap of laughter at the sight in her head. "Now I," she laughed and sucked in air to try again, "now I get his expression when we saw it."
She laughed harder again before the fit subsided enough for her to speak clearly again, "I thought he was going to ask me complicated questions about love, I didn't know he was making a plan."
The blush has reached Mav's ears now, "Listen, you can't make him feel bad about it, he didn't know. I just don't know why he thought he needed to push us."
Carole smiled, "Yes you do, he's never seen you kiss, but he has seen you two dance around each other in public. I guess we ought to explain things to him better."
They bid Carole good night and she laughed twice more before she finally composed herself enough to talk to Bradley. By the time she turned out his lamp, he was feeling better and decided he wouldn't play matchmaker again ever.
That held true until he tried to fix up a pilot with his WSO. He'd never forget that black eye.

I am begging people to use LibreOffice and personal storage devices like hard drives or USB sticks instead of relying 100% on Google Docs. LibreOffice is free and open-source, it saves files to your own computer, and it lets you save as many different file types. You can write in it, format ebooks in it, and do everything you might possibly need to do as a writer.
"Oh, but I'll lose my USB stick--" Fine, back things up in whatever cloud you use as a form of extra protection, but you should also try your absolute damnedest to also put them on some form of storage that isn't a cloud.
I know it's not accessible to everyone, but if you at all have the ability, don't rely on shit that lives on other people's computers. Especially with everything going on with AI theft and aggressive censorship of adult media. If you don't store your files on your own personal computer that you have control over, your files aren't fully yours, and they're at the whims of whoever owns the cloud.
Learn where your files are stored and how to access them. Get into the habit of backing up your files to your own personal storage. Even if you're not up for intense tech research and you don't care about how the computer actually works, please stop letting your art live in corporate clouds.
