Playing around in Affinity Photo as I am 100% bored to death and this night owl is actually thinking about going to bed because he is so tired. lol I like how this came out, though I wish I had reshade and am completely puzzled why reshade works for FFXIV for Mac and not for The Sims, which has been requested so many times for MAC players.
Maybe I'll move my sim in, as I think she is oddly really pretty for a premade face, but maybe EA finally put some new faces in the generator. But I also need some new cas items, though I am currently at 31 GB worth of content and that is doing a base-level pruning, but I can't give anything in terms of build and buy.

Okay I reloaded origin and the sims and did some decorating and other than resetting the camera and being a bit rusty with the commands, I like how this came out.
Let's just hope that I finish at least this residence, but who knows.

So The Sims is getting a movie...
which makes me happy and it needs to be about the icon that is Bella Goth.
I logged into tumblr to check out some FFXIV rp posts and saw that the simblr community is still going strong, which is very nice to see and it has tempted me to load up the game, which oddly enough I never uninstalled.
I am definitely not interested in making items again and now that I am going back to work, I don't have the time to play FFXIV, The Sims, and Second Life and have a life outside of my apartment.
If EA ever gets their act together about The Sims 5, Paralives, or the Rod Humble venture we can see my return happen, but I am also not holding my breath.

Maxis Mix is always where my game and my cc seem to lie. @peacemaker-ic was the big one to bring that style forward. I like the "realness" of some of the designs, but I also like the cartoony version of maxis match and while I miss and adore 3, 4 has the best art style.
Reblog if you can, I'd love to see results that best reflect the whole of the simblr community, for science of course.

This is why I come back to this game over and over, even when my involvement with the community can be a little reserved. Simblr really took this unplayable game and has allowed me to create in so many ways. But the real MVPs are Orangemittens and Andrew from @sims4studioofficial for making a MAC version of their cc modding tool, which finally meant I can support creating and being way more involved than just playing the game without any friends.
i think the core reason of why i’m still here and why i love being here is because its like playing a game sitting next to a friend, occasionally i have you look to see what i’m doing and you let me look to see what ur doing and we get to enjoy it together ;-; ♥

Tomorrow at 12pm EST, @crumplebottomsinteriorsmagazine is dropping its first "interview" with the "designer" of my Etienne series.
I've created so many OCs inside the catalog text of my designs, they will all get made into actual sims and progressively interviewed by the staff of the magazine.
I really hope you enjoy and consider following the magazine, especially if you are in need of design and build inspiration.

So I am doing this thing apparently?
I miss the sims 3 building and design community forum(I is old) and magazine and thought I would revive my desire to make a magazine about design, even though my day-to-day is in public health.
Please take a look and follow the "magazine" for silly roleplay of a sims interior and build magazine. Submit your builds/rooms/etc to be featured and I have lots of silliness in store!

Welcome to Crumplebottom's Interiors Magazine, the next big thing to happen to the interior and building community since, well that one forum shut down and simblr started to be a thing.
Today, I just wanted to tell you a little about my plan for this "magazine."
First many thanks to our sponsor @orangeresearcher that has kindly let us use his space for our operations.
Back to the plans,
We of course want to show off the beauty that the simblr community and the many architects and interior designers. We are open to any style of housing and rooms, though we have a soft spot for contemporary design. You are welcome to submit your projects on our submission page. We are a small team, so please be patient as we set up your post.
Joining our team as critic-at-large, Francis DeWolf will cover criticism and interviews with homeowners, both large and small, and their creative teams.
Additionally, the social team is excited to launch challenges and design competitions.
Since we are working with a shoestrings budget, we all have day jobs and thus are very busy with our own deadlines, but who knows what the future will entail.

My new project within Simblr is a builds/interiors/design magazine of sorts and I really would love you to submit your builds and interiors to show off the amazing things you produce!
So you should submit 4-10 photos or like a video (like a YouTube video, TikTok, or Reels) of your builds.
You don't have to be amazing or even good either in the building or in the taking of photos!
So go follow the page and then submit your work. I'll be sharing some of my work too.

Blender is notoriously hard for people who are beginning to learn 3D modeling.
I learned Maya, a professional, and $$$ (I was learning on a student copy) program before I learned Blender.
I am still learning things in Blender and still practicing how to be a better modeler. I'll never be amazing, but I continue to practice modeling different things and as I learn more from friends in the Sims and SL communities and tutorials, the better I will become.
I am 100% the type of person who if I am not immediately perfect at something I'll drop it, but creating content for both SL and Sims has been satisfying that itch to design furniture and jewelry, that I'll never really get the opportunity to do in RL because I am in another field entirely and satisfying, or to me, creative careers largely don't work for someone that needs health insurance.
Keep going, even when you need to break for a while.
just a reminder... it’s ok if you’re struggling with picking up a whole new program overnight. that’s normal and okay? nobody is actually learning anything overnight. you can learn at your own pace, or not at all. seeing a lot of people getting discouraged that they can’t pick it up on the first try and pls just be kind to yourselves. holy shit.

Question...
Should I start a new tumblr/IG for builders and interior decorators?
My Sunlight Townhouse is inspiring me to create some kind of platform for B/B CC creators, interior designers, and builders of all stripes.
I'm in the Sims 4 Build group on fb, but I was thinking of a more rl magazine-style "website" like when there was one during the sims 3 era and an associated form.
I would need this to be a collaborative project, especially if it is like an IG project. I def don't have the time to build out and support a magazine.
Inbox me or DM me if you are interested in potentially working together. I want to say this will be a low-key investment because I don't have much time to invest, but I still would like to do this project.
