You can donate to the Palestine Children's Relief Fund for as little as $1.00.
Tumblr media
There is a fee you can choose to apply to cover processing.
Tumblr media
Which if you choose to do leaves you with a total of ~$1.35 (USD) depending on the type of card you have.
Tumblr media
PCRF has a score of 97% on Charity Navigator.
Adults and children alike are currently dying in Palestine due to starvation. (World Health Organization Link)
The Gaza Strip is one of two places in the entire world that is categorized as Phase 5 (the highest phase) on the Integrated Food Security Phase Classification scale.
So even if you think it isn't enough, remember that donating even as little as $1.35 helps! It's $1.35 they wouldn't have had otherwise. So donate if you can. 🇵🇸

How to turn off AI Training of your content on Web and Mobile:
On a Web Browser:
Tumblr media
I had some trouble finding this option. My first instinct was to click the settings button on the left, but that's where it is!
First, you'll click the name of your blog on the left sidebar to bring it up on your browser.
Tumblr media
Then click "Blog settings" on the right sidebar once your blog is brought up. That's where they're hiding it.
Tumblr media
Click "Prevent Third-Party Sharing" under the Visibility section, and bam! You're done.
On Mobile:
Tumblr media
Thankfully it's much easier on mobile. Just click the Gear icon on your blog's page, to go to settings.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Scroll all the way down until you see Visibility, then toggle the Prevent third-party sharing option for your blog!!
If you disable this setting on mobile, it automatically synced it to my web browser settings, too. ...But if you use both Web and Mobile, I would still highly recommend double checking that it actually turned off on both!!
Check that it's turned off on your side blogs too! And check your settings every now and then anyway to ensure that it's staying turned off, because if my memory serves right, some other websites will pull some shenanigans on things like this and opt you back in without telling you!
Leave Feedback on New Features at Tumblr Support Here!! Let Staff know however we can that having our content fed to AI at their whim is unacceptable.
And if you have the option to poison your art with Nightshade or Glaze, keep it up!!

head up if you don’t want tumblrs partnered ai companies automatically scraping your blog for image datasets, you need to manually opt out.
You can’t do this in the app rn, only the desktop version or web browser on your phone. It will also need to be done for every sideblog you have.
You find it by opening up your blog settings > scroll down to visibility > prevent third party sharing
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As an aside, I’d thoroughly recommend opting out of having your blog scraped, even if you’re not an artist. Afaik Tumblr hasn’t explicitly stated which companies they’ll be partnering with, but the vagueness of that wording is really alarming.
These datasets use a lot of selfies for photorealistic results, moderation of who has access to these datasets is notoriously ass, and a lot of AI engines are being used to generate pornography and racist imagery (you can see this rn with the rise of ai generated propaganda). While ‘your likeness is used in an awful generated image without your consent’ IS a worst case scenario, it’s a really upsetting one. Protect yourselves.

[Transcript of a conversation on Bluesky]
K.B. Spangler @kbspangler.com
One holdover that's stuck with me from Trump's term in office is how few people actually call in. My congressman's office said they were BOGGLED at how many calls they had gotten on a particular issue, so I asked how many...
They replied, "Seventeen."
jamie quinn 🏳️‍⚧️ @threnody.bsky.social KOSA is moving through the senate right now, where it has significant support. but nothing's final until it's final. if your senator's a democrat, call & email. use this script. it's timed to 1:00 and it won't take long. even with enforcement moved to the FTC, this bill is too easily weaponized.
[Embedded Text Image Transcript]
My name is _ and I'm one of your constituents. I'm calling to urge you to vote NO on KOSA - the Kids Online Safety Act. The bill's sponsors claim it will protect kids by placing a duty of care on online platforms to prevent anything that could be harmful.
The power to decide what's harmful has been ceded to the FTC. FTC leadership is made by presidential appointment. Current president Lina Khan may proceed fairly, but what happens when the next Donald Trump is in the Oval Office? What if it's Trum himself? Do you trust a Trump appointee not to abuse this enforcement power?
KOSA claims to protect kids, but it's poorly designed and, given time, it will absolutely and without question, harm LGBTQ children, adults, and anyone who needs information on reproductive health or abortion.
KOSA author, Senator Marsha Blackburn, said she introduced KOSA in part - and I quote - "to protect minor children from the transgender in our society." The Heritage Foundation proudly said they'll apply pressure through KOSA to block information about abortion, reproductive health, & LGBTQ issues.
Vote NO on KOSA.

So, yes, your voice does make a difference because if everyone else is thinking "Well, my voice doesn't matter so why bother" then you and sixteen of your online buddies can go ahead and straight-up boggle a congressman.

If you wanna protect AO3 or character ai. Or Wattpad. Or Tumblr. Or discord. Or even the right for undocumented people and minors to use the fucking Internet reblog this I swear to God. Reblog this and reblog as many KOSA posts as you can go on their website and contact your Representatives. Do it. Do it. Do it.

Duty of Care update The updated duty of care says that a platform shall “exercise reasonable care in the creation and implementation of any design feature” to prevent and mitigate those harms. The difference is subtle, and ultimately, unimportant. There is no case law defining what is “reasonable care” in this context. This language still means increased liability merely for hosting and distributing otherwise legal content that the government—in this case the FTC—claims is harmful
[so still incentivizes overzealous censorship]
Attorneys General Can Still Use KOSA to Enact Political Agendas  ... it is true enough that the amendments to KOSA prohibit a state from targeting an online service based on claims that in hosting LGBTQ content that it violated KOSA’s duty of care. Yet that same official could use another provision of KOSA—which allows them to file suits based on failures in a platform’s design—to target the same content. The state attorney general could simply claim that they are not targeting the LGBTQ content, but rather the fact that the content was made available to minors via notifications, recommendations, or other features of a service.  We shouldn’t kid ourselves that the latest version of KOSA will stop state officials from targeting vulnerable communities. And KOSA leaves all of the bill’s censorial powers with the FTC, a five-person commission nominated by the president. This still allows a small group of federal officials appointed by the President to decide what content is dangerous for young people. Placing this enforcement power with the FTC is still a First Amendment problem: no government official, state or federal, has the power to dictate by law what people can read online.

“KOSA wont pass, it got rejected the last two times!”
It wasn’t passed because people spoke out against it. People called and emailed their senators. So, CALL / EMAIL YOUR SENATORS. MAKE IT KNOWN THAT WE DO NOT WANT THIS BILL TO PASS!
“But its unconstitutional-“ There’ve been multiple bills passed before that are unconstitutional. This will not be any different to them, they do not care.
STOP KOSA!!!

Petitions to stop KOSA + information about Project 2025 Masterpost
Hello! This is my first post on this blog. While most other people would make a self-introduction as their first post, I feel like this is much more important.
So, you might have heard about the revival of the dangerous KOSA bill this year, with a January 2024 deadline to stop it. I've decided to get every possible petition I can find online for everyone to sign. Here are the links:
For those unfamiliar with the KOSA bill and why it's bad, it's basically a censorship and surveillance bill disguised as a way to "protect children".
What it does is it would pressure platforms into using content filters that would censor anything that is deemed "inappropriate" for minors, including topics of LGBTQ, mental health resources, race, gender, and basically anything that Republicans dislike.
It would increase surveillance by increasing the use of ID age verification and parental monitoring tools. This would be very bad for those in abusive home situations.
This bill is unconstitutional because it breaks the first and fourth amendments.
This would not only change the way minors use the internet, but everyone, regardless of age, will be effected by this bill. Every site would be effected by this, especially Tumblr.
Censorship will not help protect people, and it only limits what information we're allowed to see, which would give the government more control over everyone. In fact, the KOSA bill is actually a part of the Project 2025 plan that the Republicans will use to dictate this country. Don't believe me? The Heritage Foundation (a Right-Wing hate group), even said so in a twitter post. (tried posting the video here but Tumblr won't let me)
Also, one of the writers for the bill is a Republican and has even admitted to saying that it will target trans content:
If you don't already know what Project 2025 is, it's basically Trump's plan to turn the country into an authoritarian, fascist nightmare. Here's an article that does better explaining:
Basically, if any Republican candidate gets elected, they will enact Project 2025. It's very important that you vote for a Democrat, no matter who it is, even if we have to vote for Biden again.
So with all this said, it's very important that we stop this KOSA bill so we don't give the Republicans a chance to enact Project 2025. While there are still other Internet bills we need to speak out against, KOSA is the most urgent since it could be voted on as soon as January.
Please do whatever you can to stop this KOSA bill. Call your representatives, call your senators, sign petitions, and spread this post around as much as you can. Blaze this if you have to.

The end of online privacy
Now, this isn't something I usually post about from my silly goofy k1nk account (reminder to minors to not follow or scroll this acount).
But I have more followers on here than main, and this is extremely important. Like, scary shit.
This applies to everyone. If you're reading this? It's going to effect you.
I'm sure perhaps some of you have seen around about a this thing going around... KOSA, is one of the ways it's being referred to.
If this shit passes, lemme tell you...
LGBTQ+ adults and minors seeking help and community,
people looking for abortions,
people organizing protests,
anyone using their free speech to voice concerns about injustices,
even FAN ARTISTS...
Even people reading fan fiction...
And for the purposes of where I'm posting from... people sharing and enjoying their k1nks, wanting to post things with safety and privacy... smut artists and writers, people even LOOKING for smut...
It's all gone. No privacy.
They'll have your face, your name, your age, where you live.
You'll need an ID to use any US-based platform, even if you're NOT in the United States.
Instead of dooming, here's what you can do to stop this shit in it's tracks 👍
Tumblr media
Here is a website where you can sign a letter just by filling out a form, (it takes less than 30 seconds) and where you can call reps.
I HIGHLY suggest leaving calls if you're able, and if you have phone shyness, do this after 6pm, since it will leave messages instead.
I'm shy, but I did it!
Here's another letter to sign, takes less than 20 seconds.
Here is a form you can fill out sharing how the social media has POSITIVELY effected you.
Share all of this with as many people as you can. Our safety, freedom, joy, and protection online is at risk more than ever.
(Here is the thread where I found all of this information.)
STAY SAFE!

A soundblast colossus from the upcoming game Avatar: Frontiers of pandora. I'm so excited to see some new ecosystems and organisms from this world, the world building of the plants and animals of pandora has always been my favorite part of this story.
Which animals are you most excited to see in action? I'll likely be drawing more in the near future.
