finally went to ATSV last night and this morning while I was feeding the cats I realized something.
The very first thing Miguel does in the movie breaks the canon.
when Renaissance Vulture’s tearing up the museum and shoots down the police chopper, Captain Stacy is right beneath it. he’s trying to save kids from the falling rubble, like the canon Captain always does right before he’s crushed himself.
and Miguel stops that.
for all that he does in the rest of the film, for all that he talks a big game about doing what’s necessary, there’s still a part of him deep down that WILL save people, and to hell with the consequences
