This is another tumblr prompt, and I’ve toyed with two different ideas, one where Codywan and their men are trapped in a cave in which Obi-Wan is keeping from crushing them and one where they survive a very ugly battle and Obi-Wan helps keep troopers alive as best he can until he is too exhausted to move. Honestly it may end up two fics because I really like both ideas.
Cody watches the General, his eyes tracking the deep rise and fall of his chest and occasionally sliding to the blood smeared over his face and in his beard. Triage had tried to treat the injury, but the General had given a small shake of his head and dismissed him, telling him it would be too distracting, and as much as the medic had clearly disapproved, they all knew that the General’s concentration could not be broken, not if they wanted to make it out alive.
“I am all right, Cody.”
He doesn’t sound all right. He sounds strained and worn thin, exhausted in the way he sometimes is after a grueling campaign, but Cody isn’t about to argue with him. Instead he sits beside him, forcing himself to keep his gaze straight ahead rather than letting it drift up to the boulders and debris floating above them. He doesn’t want Obi-Wan to think he doubts his ability to keep them safe.

Maul hid nothing from him. He was naked prey drive; he was unbridled revelry. If hunger were a flame, Maul was the light of combined suns. If bloodlust were a beast, Maul was neither the muzzling chain nor the beast itself, but caught up in its jaws, alongside Obi-wan. He was pleasure, he was hate.
Four Death Watch commandos flanked Obi-wan, two of them rounding to grasp him at his elbows and wrists. Maul withdrew his blade only to shove the still-warm hilt into the hollow under Obi-wan's chin. “You are mine, Kenobi,” he said, a sense of savoring in those words. “Every part of you, body and soul.”

Chapter 8
Summary: When Obi-Wan interferes in the Fives incident, Palpatine decides he's had enough of the Jedi Master getting in the way of his attempts to corrupt The Chosen One. Obi-Wan, catching on to Palpatine's plans, goes missing. When photos and videos of Obi-Wan's torture are made public, Anakin starts to unravel. Quinlan searches the Coruscant underworld with increasing desperation. Dooku wonders if he's made the right choices. Obi-Wan, trapped and tormented, tries to reveal the truth about who the Sith lord is. Schemes come to light. Myths merge into reality. With the Republic in the clutches of a Sith, the Jedi, the clones, and their friends in the senate fight to find one of their best--and save the galaxy's guardians from extermination.
Chapter Summary: Obi-Wan pays the price for sending a signal to the Jedi. Dooku's guilt eats away at him. Anakin slides down a slippery slope.
“I would like you to know, Obi-Wan, since we’ve just been reading those lovely words from Master Vos, that I was the one who set up your Kiffar to have the vision that drove him to drink. That drove him into the dark. So, really, I took him from you too, didn’t I? Just like I’ll take Anakin. One doesn’t return from the dark side once they’re in it. Not really.”
Of course. Of course that was Palpatine. It all makes sense now and—
A shudder goes down Obi-Wan’s spine.
Hello hello hello in that ancient tongue. Syncing synapses. Shouts from the clones. A burst of white light behind Obi-Wan's eyes. Rattling rattling rattling. The table will not stop rattling. The supply cart slides across the room and bangs against the wall. Syringes clatter and break. There might be an earthquake for all he knows. Snap. Snap snap snap. The Force collar slips off his neck and clatters to the floor. Power power power in his veins. Shooting through him. Silver spins and spins and spins around him.
Stars. Starlight. A familiar and peaceful presence pressing on his mind.
There was a shepherd up in the stars.
