There is a specific brand of tumblr user who says they’re pro Palestine but is entirely focused on how Palestinians act, resist, talk, and think - nothing about actually supporting Palestinian liberation - fixated on us like we’re unruly children and talking down to us and how we should “actually” stop our own genocide. Stop amplifying these people. I do not care about their backhanded “solidarity”.

"I want to go back to feeling my hand. I wanna hold my hand"
This child Ibrahim Dahouk, from gaza strip, had his arm amputated in Israeli bombardment. He's crying, saying that he wants his hand back. Ibrahim says that the doctors told him he'd be able to if he could get outside of gaza for medical attention as soon as possible, he asks for anyone to put an end to the bombing so he could get proper treatment.
Translation:
"-Why are you crying?
I want to go back to holding my hand. I want to feel my hand.
My two cousins have been killed and I got injured. Please stop the war, that's what we want. We want to go back to our homes, we want to go back to live and to walk like before. They don't care about anything, they don't care about us. For the rest of my life I only want to feel my hand again, please. The doctor told me if you want your hand to grow back you have to get treatment abroad, immediately."
Then the man goes into explaining ibrahim's situation. Please if anybody knows how to help get Ibrahim the medical treatment for prosthetic limbs do everything you can, before he loses the remaining parts of his hand, share this on all platforms. And most importantly keep demanding a ceasefire. This has to stop.

i think people need to consider deeply what they’re going to do in the long term to keep the flame of political consciousness alive. that is one thing being confronted with the palestinian genocide can do for you. reblogging live updates and posts that combat propaganda and disinformation work to address the crisis now, but the crisis is long-standing and will continue after it stops making headlines. what will you do then? what will you do when you’re no longer forced to stare it in its face?

Israeli Parliament Set to Discuss Legalising ‘Death Penalty Law for Palestinian Prisoners’
look up the conviction rates for Palestinians
look up how many and for how long Palestinians are held without charges, without bail, without visitation or access to lawyers
this is absolutely a prelude to formalized mass execution of political prisoners

It's important that we recognise and humanise the Palestinians as they are often dehumanised by Israel and the western media.
Make no mistake these are people like you and I.
And with the upcoming prisoner exchange, here's information on some of the Palestinian prisoners.
[Video transcript:
This is 22 year old freed prisoner Ida Almasty of Nablus. She spent 7 months in Zionist prisons where she encountered the legendary resilience of her fellow women prisoners.
As the dawn of their freedom approaches with the upcoming prisoner exchange, she wrote about them, their aspirations and their dreams.
I'm gonna share them with you.
This is Marah Bakir.
Marah always wished to be released as part of a prisoner exchange deal, rather than alone, leaving behind the responsibility of the girls.
She was pregnant at a young age and longed to feel the freedom despite the jailer. Marah will move from solitary confinement to freedom and contunue her studies.
Marah had been imprisoned since she was 15 in 2015 and has been held in solitary confinement for 40 days.
She is the representative of the female prisoners movement.
This is Shorouq Duwaiat.
Shorouq was very afraid of the idea that she would have to keep saying goodbye to her fellow prisoners.
After getting used to them and being the lady one left. Today Shorouq won't have to wait any longer than the others; in a few days she will be among us.
Shorouq, 25 has one of the longest sentences among women. She was sentenced to 16 years in 2014, accused of a stabbing operation.
This is Makal Suleiman.
Malak wants to go back and start economic projects that she has thought about for her mother. We once talked about the Maldives, she know what it looked like.
Soon she will see it and perhaps even visit.
Malak is 24 has been imprisoned since 2016 when she was 17.
This is Noorhan Awad.
Noorhan loves the stars and the night sky. She was always happy during nightly cell searches to go out to the yard quickly.
Noorhan will soon spend her nights under the sky without bars.
Noorhan entered prison in 2015 at 15, sentenced to 10.5 years in 2015. She was wounded by IOF gunfire after the IOF executed her cousin Hadeel. Accusing them of a stabbing operation.
That's all for tonight, this will be part one. I got the rest of the parts from resistance news networks Prisoners Telegram.
They give updates on all of the prisoners in occupied Palestine. I highly recommend that you follow them on Telegram.
You wanna type this link below into your browser (https://t.me/RNN Prisoners) to find the page, very very informative.

We really need to normalize the concept of “you’re not wrong, but you’re being a bully about it in a way that does not help”.
Because that would have really helped me earlier today.

Every single person who is trying to shame people into voting for Genocide Joe's re-election because "Trump is worse and Biden is less worse" is disgusting.
As a person who voted Democrat since I could vote, as a person who fought with family or acquaintances to make them see how bad Trump is, the level of shame and guilt that I've been carrying for weeks over the Genocide in Palestine, over every single death that I see on my screen, over every story I read about those brave suffering people, has eaten me alive. To know that my vote put a monster in power.
"We can't live through Trump again". Too bad. Maybe instead of spending all your energy shaming the people, especially the Palestinian-Americans, into voting for the man who is directly responsible, directly to blame, for ongoing aid to fund and support the deaths of thousands of men, women, and children, maybe you should do the work to put a better candidate in office, maybe you should say "hey both these people are horrible, we should pick someone better" and then work towards that instead of saying "anyone who doesn't vote for Biden over the Palestinian Genocide is worse than the people who vote for Trump". I know you all don't care about the lives of people half a world away but I do.
I will never again in my life vote for a single person who supports the atrocities that I've witnessed.
I will not compromise my morals for your comfort.
Fuck you.
For anyone else who cares about making a difference follow and support Project Olive Grove, they are actively working to ensure that this won't ever happen again by having politicians who advocate for the people and not for genocide.

with my nakba posts, here's some website recommendations if you want to learn on the history of specific depopulated palestinian areas:
palestine remembered is probably the most famous and comprehensive website with full documentations of former locations and depopulated villages. it also lists information on palestinian refugee camps, guestbooks, and the ability to upload pictures. information on each village varies.
zochrot is an organization dedicated to teaching both palestinians and israelis about the 1948 nakba (which is not covered well if at all in israeli schools, as you can probably imagine), which includes documenting information on villages and even an app. information on each village varies.
the interactive encyclopedia for the palestinian question's places page has some detailed histories and a map as well, but doesn't go into the detail of the last two sites, and doesn't have pictures or sources.
many villages also have their own websites, and many of them are also in english (for example, the one i linked for kafr bir'im). honestly just look up (village name) + website and if it's there you'll find it.
wikipedia also has surprisingly comprehensive coverage of the villages, the articles include a little more of the "war" background than the other websites do.
all that remains: the palestinian villages occupied and depopulated by israel in 1948 is a famous book by palestinian historian walid khalidi which gives a detailed account of what became of 400 different depopulated palestinian villages. it was released in 1992, so it's not current, but many of the things he wrote still hold.
