Thank you so much for the addition! It's exactly what I was thinking about. Recently I heard a lot of people saying that two people must surely be romantically interested in each other if they do <seemingly romantic stuff> and that they're just too oblivious to realize it. Which might be true in some cases but it's certainly no universal rule. So although it might be interpreted as romantic by someone if there's no intent, it's simply not. And no outsider can truly judge the true nature of such (affectionate) gestures.
I don't know if I expressed myself in a way that's comprehensible but it's just been bugging me lately how intently is the today's society set on and obsessed with romantic love and brushing off other kinds of love...
Idk if this is a hot take or whatever but I just want to say that nothing is inherently romantic. Like I mean I think there's literally no gesture or action that is automatically romantic, it's all so circumstantial.

Oh this is going to make me sound like such a bitch but I cannot help but feel a little bit of satisfaction that my ex's relationship with her new boyfriend doesn't seem to be going so well recently....
Don't get me wrong I don't wish anything bad upon her. But sometimes I just cannot help but feel bitter about everything. Our whole relationship was a secret nobody could know about while as soon as we broke up and she got together with her new bf she was introducing him to her family and mentioning him to everyone around.
Which- I know society sucks and unfortunately homophobia is everywhere. But it still feels kinda hurtful to be treated like a secret that cannot be mentioned even years later while their relationship is talked about so freely.

Oh man, I'm really trying to be nice and not just hate on people I personally dislike. But like this girl in my class (I always found her kinda annoying but never had any personal beef with her like a lot of my classmates), she really has my blood boiling after today's class. Casually fucking misgendering our classmate. Like everyone respects him - teachers, school, all our other classmates - even though it's not very easy in our country but you just have to be bitch about it. Fr wanted to slap her bitchass

That time Khaotung cried because First (just acting as Akk) told him he hates him in the Eclipse mock trailer and that time First broke his character in the Moonlight Chicken and cried during the funeral scene because Khaotung looked like he was in so much pain both live in my mind rent free...

Latest reblog reminds me of how much it pisses me the fuck off how every queer person alive has to adapt to the usamerican style of queerness lest we get shunned by the community for being too different. I bring this up a lot but bro that time I got death threats for having ele/dele in my bio bc "by using neopronouns I was making a mockery of REAL trans people" when those are literally just my pronouns in my native language, and when I said that I got hit w the "well you're on the internet so speak english" I HATE GRINGOS I HATE GRINGOS I HATE GRINGOS

Do you ever feel like there's no place at all for you in this world? There's nothing you're good at. There's nothing you want to do in the future. There's nothing special you can offer. There's no one who loves you.
It feels like I shouldn't be here. It feels like I'm fated to suffer the loneliness until the day I die and never ever achieve anything meaningful enough. It feels like there's no reason for me to be here any longer.
Like I know the world would keep going the exact same way even if I was no longer in it. So it feels so tempting to shorten the meaningless existence as it would spare me all the painful days that are to come.

I have a rather stupid question, but how do you generally refer to a gender fluid person? Like eg if the person uses he/she pronouns at different moments I do understand that at those moments you just use the right pronoun but if you talk about that person in general? Is it okay to use 'they' although it's not one of the pronouns the person uses just not to be specific or is it okay to use either of the pronouns the person uses randomly? I'm not quite sure

everyday spend on the internet I'm once again and again reminded of human stupidity. saw a video mentioning Ronance and people in the comments went crazy like "Nancy is straight, she can't be lesbian!!" and "Nancy can't like Robin, she is obviously annoyed with her" the usual crap... but what absolutely baffled me were the comments saying like "y'all mad when people ship Steve and Robin but are okay with this" and I'm like ??? Are you fucking kidding me? What could possibly be the reason that people are mad when someone romantically ships Robin an actual lesbian with Steve a man, but are okay when someone ships Robin and Nancy a woman with which she interacts throughout the whole season?? Like really what could be the reason for that? Such a mystery!

Sometimes I go on Tumblr, sometimes I go to see the posts within the fandoms of media I like and every single time I'm reminded of why I hate people and why I should rather enjoy media alone in a blissful ignorance of some fans' terrible terrible takes and creepy ass behavior

I haven't really engaged in the LoTR fandom and communities online before, but since I've got into LoTR again recently I was curious to see all the fan art and other people's takes. I'm low-key disappointed to see so many hateful people here, though.
I don't share the same interpretation of the story or the characters as some people here, and although I'm gay myself I don't really ship or interpret many of the popular pairings as romantic, however that doesn't mean there's something wrong with it (as many people like to act).
I agree that sometimes it can get annoying to see people interpret literally everything as queer and disagree with anyone who says otherwise, that however doesn't justify in any way being homophobic to queer people.
The beauty of stories and creative work is that anyone can interpret it in their own way and can find a different way to relate. The fact that someone has a different interpretation doesn't really invalidate your own interpretation.
So, please stop acting like you're the only one right and that being homophobic toward queer fans is some kind justice for LoTR or Tolkien himself.
If there's some content within the fandom you don't like seeing it's really easy and a possible option to just block it, moreover you can't act surprised that when you engage in fandom you'll be also met with other people's opinions which can be different to yours. By the way, making your own content is an available option, as well...
So please, stop justifying and excusing your homophobia with your religion or the supposedly "true" or "right" message of LoTR.
I'm sorry for the rant, I'm just tired of being hated on and wished death over simply not looking on every single piece of content or media through the heteronormative lenses.
Just realize that there are other people in the world besides you and that you're not some ultimate judge of what's morally right or wrong, thank you.
