       “ can you use your inside voice ? my son is sleeping ! ” she scolds him; looks like she isn’t afraid of him, either. “ anyway, you should be very careful if you plan to cause trouble. i don’t think you want another run in with mario, do you ? ”

       well, she’s played the mario / wario land series enough to know how both the stories will end. very badly for syrup and tatanga if  they’re up to no good.

       5-volt LOVES the legend of zelda. the original games’ nes cartridge is a relic from her childhood she still has to this very day. link is one of her favorite nintendo heroes second only to mario, so it should be a no brainier that she’d want him to win this fight, right ? not exactly.

       she’d already had preconceived opinions on the famed fortune hunter before she had ever allowed her son joined the company. she was hesitant to let her son work for her hero’s biggest enemy, but eventually ( and surprisingly )  she found herself warming up to him. wario makes mistakes, and doesn’t at all shy away from doing bad things for his own gain, but 5-volt doesn’t think he is a bad person. far from it; she adores him like a member of her family and that’s why she hopes more than anything he can pull this win off without getting hurt.

“ missy ? ” can’t say she likes his choice of nicknames, but she is a little more willing to hear someone like kirby out on the matter. “ maybe i was only looking the bad parts of the tournament... i mean i doubt you and the other faces of nintendo are running around doing things that would make your parents ashamed of you, right ? ”

“  no, he’s shown it to me quite a few times since it was in development, but yeah, that doesn’t exactly depict me in a good light either...  ”

“Well, it is one of the more reasonable explanations, yes! But… ‘evil mythical creature’ sounds…Rather specific! Has he ever mentioned or eluded to anything in particular about you being as such, or is this just what you are gathering from said drawings?”

“   i  mean, if we’re on the subject sometimes he mentions stuff like that to his friends and they’d bring it up to me... he’d talk about me having horns, glowing eyes, stuff like that... i never really thought much of it---just chalked it up to his imagination.  ”

to make it official--- on this blog demon!5-volt is definitely a thing, but i’ve sorta decided that it’s something she doesn’t talk about ever. is she oblivious to it happening or fully aware of it and just doesn’t want any one to know about ? we’ll never know ! however, 9-volt does mention it to others, and many of the warioware cast have / will witness it so she does have to address it from time to time and will deny it.

So, how do you feel about your son developing games for Wario?

       “  i  was a little worried at first, y’know ? my son developing games for mario’s rival ? as a parent and as a nintendo fan in general i was a little hesitant, but i let him go through with it and to my surprise, it worked out okay ! yeah, wario doesn’t really pay well but my son seems to enjoy it and now that i’m apart of the team myself i can see exactly why !  ”

       “  i  was going through some of 9-volt’s old school stuff and i just have to wonder why he always drew me with horns... i  know i’m strict but i don’t think i’m scary.  ”
