Why does man not absorb the monster's mana?
In the past, humans did not feel the necessity.
By the time the monster thought it was extinct, there was a war between humans.War with the Wizard ... few wizards survived in this war. The surviving wizards put some of their magic on later generations. Unfortunately, the magic that absorbs mana seems not to be left behind.
