Can i add:
While it is no way an excuse, Jaekyung clearly thinks that Dan is a gold digger who has slept with many men before and thus his shy and meek behaviour is an act. He doesn't know that he's Dan's first and only "relationship". I would not be surprised if he thinks that the keychain was an act to get closer and manipulate him to get more money and access.
And if we were to extrapolate further, Dan's acquiescence to all the acts moght also seal that image. Why else would he allow Jae to do everything he has done to him with minor complaint after the fact.
(Also, also we know he cares about Dan in some capacity because we have several instances of this like one of the first times they had sex and he called the doctor, him staking his claim on dDsn in front of his friend, checking on the Grandma, the day he got drunk and was so nice and romangic and open with Dan before they had sex.
Hell! Even leading up to the gift incident. Jae was concerned about how tired Dan was.
However, Jaekyoung is an arse and before we can move forward i'll need him to apologise to Dan.
Jinx: Jaekyung's POV
I'd like to analyze something that Jinx hasn't had (much) in the story yet: Jaekyung's POV.
The story is told from Dan's perspective, so naturally the reader has more sympathy towards Dan. Clearly Dan is the one who suffers in the story. Jaekyung's impulsive nature, anger, and high sex drive are something that are still a bit mystery.
Many readers are waiting for the explanation for his toxic behavior. Many readers are looking for him to "turn to a green flag". Readers love "tame the beast" type of story in romance. Mingwa has said this to be a classic story, so it will be possible it takes this route. But so far there is not character development with 50+ chapters in the story.
In Mingwa's earlier work BJ Alex the toxic top Jiwon also goes through flasbacks that explain his shitty behavior and through separation arch he realizes his feelings. At the end of the story he is a changed man. Some readers speculate that Jinx will take the same route because there are some similarities with the stories. However I'm doubtful of that.
Will there be a tragic backstory? In the last chapters it was revealed that his opponent Junmin has met him before and said to him:
This put Jaekyung's under a lot of stress. I believe this exhange clearly shows that Jaekyung's has had a troubled childhood. To me it's clear that his avoidance of emotion and cold nature is a result of some kind of trauma.
Will there be a regret arch or separation arch? I feel that now (ch. 51) we are going through some kind of introspection. Jaekyung's processing the fact that Dan might have betrayed him. In my interpretation it is miracle to Jaekyung why Dan hasn't left him before and has tried avoiding that by making him financially dependent on him. Their very first encounter starts as a transaction. Jaekyung's past lovers have been paid to have sex with him (as far as we know). He clearly has issues with intimacy. I feel that it is a miracle to Jaekyung that Dan has stayed with him. Jaekyung has broken his boundaries and played with him however he wants and Dan has submitted to him. I think one part of Jaekyung expects Dan to betray him at one point. Him ignoring Dan's feelings and doing what he wants separates himself from human connection. It might be one type of self harm to treat people shitty and be seemingly okay that they don't like you.
I believe Jaekyung's backstory will be tied to how he feels like he has to be the dominant one, the winner, the Emperor. I wish the backstory would give Jaekyung some character depth because usually very dominant and independent people have gone through something abusive and they have been forced to be in a submissive role. I talked previously how this work has BDSM undertones and how Jae's dominance plays a big part of his character. I would say he already has character depth because we have already seen him under a lot of stress and him contemplating why he is so obsessed with Dan.
Jaekyung is hard to read, he has a poker face. He simply does not show much emotion except for anger and lust. He is an emotionally detached man. This is what I find interesting about Jinx and Jae's character. How does such a cold character show love? Or even realize he's in love? I don't think we're ever going to see him as a super loving character because he has repressed so much of himself. He shows his emotions thorugh action. And with Dan the action so far in the story is possessiveness.
So many of the so called Jinx fans just straight up hate Jaekyung. I'm pretty sure everyone's minds will turn once we get his backstory. Jinx is a slowburn and people just don't seem to be patient enough for it and show their frustration in the fandom. I'm dissapointed in this because I really like Jaekyung's character. I like cold characters that are a bit of a mystery. Jaekyung portrays himself as the dominant one, but that is only the part of himself he shows to other people (and the reader). I feel that many readers would enjoy the story more if the could sympathize more with Jaekyung. But some people need to be reminded that this story is not for everyone and Jaekyung's not the typical perfect loving top many readers would like to have for themselves.

Superbat/Baan au where Batman kills the Joker. On purpose. With intent.
It happens early on in his career before he really gets stuck in his ways. He weighed the odds and at his first possible opportunity, he killed him. Everyone else thinks it was an accident, but the rogues have their suspicions...
Anyway... After that Bruce goes to therapy and hangs up his cape. Batman virtually disappears but his shadow still lingers. He really becomes a myth.
The only reason he doesn't is because the Robins still exist and actively are seen.
Which means it has to happen after Dick but before Tim, which puts Jason's death in question

I have two additions:
1. Lex Luthor is part of the 3 people who grew up with him and don't know.
2. Everyone thinks the alien bit is a lie and part of his cover for being a super/mutant. Who is going to look for Superman's identity if Superman is a clueless enigmatic alien from far outer space.
Starting to think a cooler headcanon for Clark’s upbringing might just be that the entire town of Smallville collectively decided to just go with it and accept that Martha and John's kid has superpowers, but we don't talk about it.
Someone's tractor gets stuck and nothing can get it out? "Be a dear and run down to the Kents, would you? Ask for Clark?"
"Why Clark, we need a machine--"
"Run along now."
Or if he kicks too hard and the football vanishes into the upper stratosphere, no it didn't, we all collectively saw it land over there *vague hand movements*

This but broader.
Like Steve is a really good visual learner and can pick up patterns to the point of being essentially a copycat which honestly gave him the edge in sports. Watches how some people hit home runs and replicate it exactly like them. Learns the exact step someone makes every time they are about to try for a three pointer. But he does not just copy he perfects snd adapts it to himself in that moment when ge needs to. Maybe even it works with some subjects like Calculus where all he needs is a formula and an example or two and he's good.
However, just because he's a copycat does not mean he's good at explaining shit or knowing why. So he just sounds either gifted or lucky and has trouble adapting the things he's copied after the fact. Particularly when it worked before and he thought he perfected it.
Which is why Steve is paying special attention to the guys Eddie flirts with and makes passes at him to see what he responds to. Because it seems Steve's usual brand of flirting does not work on Eddie.
I need Steve to hotwire something in season 5 because he’s actually so much more Observant than people give him credit for and he learned just from watching over Eddie’s shoulder and I need him to have his moment please
Also I love that Steve was genuinely interested in watching Eddie hotwire. He’s like “I’ve been hunting monsters and screwing around with government operations for years, how come I don’t know how to hotwire?? And I love cars, I’m a car guy, why don’t I know how to steal one?? This is a skill I need, show me now.”

Shipping Byler is not an "ethical deadzone" just because Noah is a twat.
The characters are fictional and the story is not the actor. People can still want Will to end up with Mike in this years-long story.
Also, calls to tank the franchise won't do shit other than give us one fewer mainstream show with a positive queer endgame. It's not going to help Gaza. Even canceling Noah won't do shit for Gaza.
I hate that people are latching onto this mindset and insinuating it's "problematic" to ship a wonderful queer pairing and want to see it to completion just because one of the actors is showing his ass.
I fully get this and agree 100% but I called it an ethical deadzone because I'm comparing it to what happened when jkr freshly came out in all her terf-iness. Fanworks got abandoned, entire pages disappeared from existence, people emigrated fandoms and the fandom became and still is divided and tetchy. There were calls for boycotts of the Fantastic Beasts movie and the game that recently came out (although the latter had other issues)
It did not help that the books were so synonymous with jkr, much in the same way that Noah is entwined in his character Will. Especially for shippers that struggle to divorce the art from the artist / the character from the actor (as we have seen Byler shippers have started to do). This can make it very hard for some people to engage in Byler without feeling like it's support of Noah –which it is not.
Thus, for the time being, making it an ethical deadzone
