“My dear Franz...”
Is it bad if this song got stuck in my head because those certain villain twin from a novel love this song? I don’t think the Rebeccas’s voices would be as beautiful as this, though.
I found Jasmine Thompson’s video of this song on YouTube the other day. I love how YouTube comment section becomes an online support group. Like, we are all strangers, but knowing that there are people with similar experience can make you realize that you are not alone, right? Not to mention when many people join the conversation, only to say some supportive comments.
Yes, there are good people too in the online community. 😊

When there's a Gone series fan in the chatroom
Ryan: *sends a good morning quotes picture*
Ryan: #goodmorning #thankfultoday
Stephanie: Good morning... 😄
Ryan: Where's everyone? 😃
Audrey: 👏
Me: *sends a picture of a cat yawning*
Me: Good morning.
Ryan: 😱😱😱😦
Audrey: 😂
Me: Normally, if somebody says, "Good morning," you should answer with, "Good morning," not 😱 or 😦.
Ryan: That's because a cat saying "Good morning."
Me: The cat probably was exposed by nuclear radiation, which caused its genes to mutate, and thus it could speak.
Ryan: Nuclear. 😂
Johnny: Wow, can I get exposed too? I wanna speak cat's language.
Me: Well, it might be different for us. Cats can't speak human language, so they may acquire the ability once they got exposed. As for humans like us, we may get something more like superpowers.
Ryan: I don't want to get exposed by nuclear radiation. 😣
Me: I don't want it either. It's all science fiction. I'm afraid our genes are not strong enough to survive the mutation.
Johnny: Hmm... 😕
Me: I have a book with that exact kind of story at home. Wanna read it?
Ryan: What crazy book is that?
Me: Well, if I talk about it here, it will become a spoiler.
Ryan: Omg.
Hank: What are you guys talking about? Lol.
Me: The effect of nuclear radiation based on literature perspective.
Ryan: What? Lol.

Currently reading: “Terminal” by Roderick Gordon
I don’t expect this series to have a very huge fandom around Tumblr, but just like another fandom I encounter here, I love the way the fans see the series: the way they show their love by making some serious, ridiculous, funny, half-serious, or supposedly serious comments, the way they talk about the stories like they are really part of it, and the way they discuss the characters like they are talking about some neighbor kids. So, now, I guess I want to talk a little about my experience when reading this series. 😁
Tunnels
It’s really slow in the beginning. You must have an interest in digging or history, so you can keep up with Will and Dr. Burrows. Or, at least, you have to be a very patient and optimistic person to keep reading. As for me, I keep reading the book because I have an interest in earth science, and the story of a community under the ground (complete with human-like and other strange creatures) is like a childhood fantasy coming true for me. 😃
Deeper
Better than the first book. I got lost in the middle of the story because sometimes I didn’t know if Will was truly afraid of the Styx chasing him or he just wanted to look for his father. The fake deaths are bothering me because I had started to sympathize one of the characters in the story (Cal 😆 ). In the end of the book, I hoped Will and his father would be reunited because it’s almost annoying to follow Dr. Burrows, who was wandering around without noticing that his son was actually looking for him.
Freefall
I hoped there would be another fake death in the very beginning of the story, but no, that’s not how the story goes, although I kept expecting a miracle to happen. It seems like the author won’t let us get attached to a certain character that deeply. 😌 Another layer is discovered, and another character is introduced. In this book, I found the characters’ personality to be stronger than in the previous books, and there are also more actions in the story. This book is the first in the series which made me unable to stop reading at times.
Closer
Much better than the previous installments; I fell for a villain: Eddie. His role is different in the next book, but I couldn’t forget the heartbroken feeling I had when Drake felt betrayed by him. 😢 Although sometimes I still got lost in the middle of the adventure (like, I didn’t understand what every character is actually doing or trying to do), but I found the characters more real. Oh, and of course I can’t forget the new community in the very deep part of the Earth. It’s still debatable among scientists, I believe, but I still love the idea. Good job, indeed.
Spiral
A.k.a. The Book of Styx. I was bothered by the female Styx because of their bizarre behavior, but the good point is that the story is getting more realistic. Roderick Gordon really put everything in this series: World War II, Illuminati, and even Dracula. While reading this book, I was almost convinced that Will was not really the hero in the series. I thought it was probably Drake, but the end of the story countered my expectation once more. 😞
Terminal
NO. Don’t give me any spoilers. 😂 I’ve come around several spoilers on Tumblr, which has shattered my hope once again. I am really enjoying the book so far, so please don’t tell me that the ending will not meet my expectation.
That’s all I’ve got so far from the series. It might not meet many people expectation, but I still find the series interesting in many aspects, and that’s why I keep reading until the very last book. Well, I post all my reviews of every installment on Goodreads, so please feel free to connect with me there. Tell me what you think. I’m open to any book recommendation too! Thank you. 😄

They’re here to get you. My sweet, the love of my life, they’re here to get you.

For some reason, this line always gives me mixed feelings when I read it.

Farewell is our power to soar
Doraemon movies may always carry the same issues, like Nobita’s school life, friendship, and relationship with his parents. But, every movie is always unique for me, and I am always eager to watch every single one of them, old and new, repeat and repeat until I can’t take it anymore. Although new kinds of anime keep being released, Doraemon is likely the only anime I keep watching until now. Never ending friendship... : )
I watched “Nobita and the Birth of Japan” about two weeks ago or so. Nobita (once again) has a problem with his mother, which makes him decide to run away from home (again), and apparently his friends have similar problem with their mothers. Even Doraemon (although the reason is pretty hilarious!) decides to join Nobita in the end. Long story short, after not finding any free land in the small and packed country of Japan, all of them go to prehistoric Japan and start a new life there, where they meet Kukuru, a Chinese boy. From the adventure with Kukuru and his Hikari Tribe, the kids, especially Nobita, learn about family and parents’ love.
I always love how every Doraemon movie can portray parents’ love so perfectly, like when Nobita’s mother looks out the window, waiting for Nobita’s return, or when she holds her happy tears after seeing Nobita, who falls asleep after studying. My favorite part is, still, whenever Nobita is around his “children,” the magical creatures. Their farewell always breaks my heart.
This soundtrack is perfect for those moments. The song is really soothing, and when the music comes to the chorus part, there is always this warm vibration inside me, not to mention when it’s combined with the touching lyrics, which talks about farewell. We can be sad when we are separated from the ones we love, and farewell indeed hurts, but the memories can give us warmth and strength to move on in our lives. : )
There will be a new Doraemon later this year (next month?!), which trailer has intrigued me so far. I’ll be looking forward to it.

This conversation is why I love Drake Merwin
Chunk: That’s a four bar, right there, I bet. I seen all kinds of stuff at Coates with Benno and Andrew and Frederico, none of them could do that kind of stuff. You think he can take Caine down?
Drake: *kicks Chunk in the groin*
Chunk: *whimpers* Why’d you do that, man?
Drake: Because I’m sick of listening to you. I’m sick of all this powers crap. You saw what we did to freaks at Coates? Who do you think it was that took care of that? All these kids with their stupid so-called powers. Starting fires and moving stuff around and reading your mind and all? Who do you think it was grabbed them one by one in their sleep and beat them down and when they woke up their hands were setting up in a block of cement?
Panda: It was you, Drake. You got them all.
Drake: That’s right. And I didn’t even have a gun then. It’s not about who’s got powers, morons. It’s about who’s not afraid. And who’s going to do what has to be done.

Video
I still can't get enough of this song. Regardless of what color Obama's hands are in the video, just pay attention to the emotional lyrics, the hypnotic dance, the perfect expressions, and of course the beautiful voice of @thatsthat24. ; )
Since my brother showed me that positively annoying video featuring Shia LaBeouf, my Favorite playlist on YouTube is now full of these talented people's creations. I'm following their "Song Voyage" series right now, which is a fun way to explore music and the world (and of course it won't be perfect without spamming the videos with likes and comments, haha).
The whole world really have to know these guys! Well, I know they might have been known around the world, but there are some particular parts of the world which haven't known them yet (e.g. my real life circle of friends, sigh), so I guess sharing their video on this blog will be worth it (?).

I downloaded it from kumpulbagi. And bad quality ofc.
Ah, as expected. : (
I have watched about three quarters of the movie yesterday on the plane, and it is indeed a very great movie, but without knowing the end of the story, not to mention after all those distractions from Mr. Pilot’s announcements, re-watching it is a must!

If it comes out, please consider seeing it in the cinema. I downloaded the torrent way before I knew that it will be released in my city, and that was one of my biggest regrets in life xD
the quality is much better. You'll be flooded with tears....
Unfortunately, it wasn’t aired in my city. I couldn’t find a good version online either. I guess I have to wait much longer... : (

Pottermore
I still wish that I could continue my journey in Pottermore, just like the old days. The new site is more like a trivia site right now, but I think that’s fine. It’s been a long time since the last time I discuss about Harry Potter, but thanks to my two friends and the “Fantastic Beast” movie, I’m now open for discussion again. Haha.
I once thought that I was a Slytherin. But, well, Pottermore says I’m a Ravenclaw. I even had tried the Sorting Hat twice (once back in the old Pottermore and the second one when the new Pottermore site was launched), and both showed that I’m a Ravenclaw. I do enjoy learning and probably look intelligent for some people, but I still think that sometimes I use the talent for something... hmm... unexpected.
It’s true that I could just claim my previous wand, but I didn’t. I can say that I started over everything on Pottermore. Moreover, I love this new wand. It fits the Ravenclaw personality perfectly, I guess. A less flexible 10 3/4″ black walnut wood wand with Unicorn hair core may not be the easiest to master, but as a Ravenclaw, I would gladly accept the challenge. ; )
Well, I failed in my first attempt to produce a Patronus. I wasn’t concentrating at that time. In the second attempt, I produced a Blackbird. I don’t really understand symbolism, but if Patronus really associates with the inner soul of the caster, I think this Patronus shows me something I never know about my inner self.
Finally, if I entered Ilvermorny, I would be a Wampus student. It’s said that not many Ravenclaw students would be sorted into Wampus House. I don’t know if that should make me feel special. Haha. It’s also said that there would be a fair number of Slytherin students in each House of Ilvermorny, so, yes, I might be able to make friends with the Slytherins?
Anyway, it’s very nice to discover yourself and your personality this way. J.K. Rowling’s books are magical in their own way. They connect people from all over the world, liven up everyone’s imaginations, and apparently can also help lost individuals find themselves.

Should I really watch this movie?
I stumbled upon the trailer long time ago (okay, not really that long), then I found one with Mayday’s song in it, and the one with Mayday’s song and its lyrics.
Everybody says that it’s a good movie. The story is really like my childhood fantasy and with that kind of cinematography, I believe the movie will be beautiful. But, no matter how I look at the videos, I think it’s like an onion being cut right in front of my eyes!
