oh while I’m here and have some time, here’s a life update 😌
I don’t even remember what I have and haven’t mentioned so .. I guess I’ll go back to around the time that I started posting less ??!?
so basically I started having some funky health issues back in 2022 and have been STRUGGLING ever since. lightheadedness, rapid heartbeat, lots of lovely stuff. 🙃 my doctor suspected it was POTS, but I was never able to get tested for it because she couldn’t order tilt table tests and the cardiologists I saw either wrote me off as “needing to go to therapy” (I was in therapy lol) or just as being fat 😅 so my doctor prescribed me the only thing she could, which was propranolol
welp, that SUCKED ASS. it sent me into a horrible depression. honestly I’ve never felt so low in my life.
in August, I moved back home with my parents because my living situation was just making my depression a million times worse. I also went off of propranolol the week I moved back in with my parents, and that has helped A TON! I still have bouts of depression every now and then, but for the most part I’m feeling much better. AND, I finally got tested for POTS!
turns out I don’t have POTS, but I actually have vasovagal syncope, which means my blood pressure drops when it’s triggered (by heat, stress, so on and so forth). it explains a lot, and now I’m consuming copious amounts of salt and lots of water to help regulate it. I don’t think I’ll ever be fully back to my old self, but I definitely feel better! I also started a new medication for my PCOS which has been great too!
I also got moved to a new department at work which has been great and has helped significantly. it’s pretty much just me unless I get an email to work on something specific, so I get to work in peace most days, which is how I like it :)
between the depression, the stress, the fatigue, and the brain fog, I just couldn’t put all of my time and mental energy into the band like I had been. I miss a lot of parts of that era of my life, but honestly it was getting to an unhealthy level and I needed a reason to step away anyways lol
anywho that’s what’s been up with me ! the energy I was putting towards this fandom has been going towards my other hobbies and creative projects within those hobbies and I’m having a dandy time !! I hope you’re all doing well and ily 😚
#the age of 24 was very mean to me lol#I’ve only been 25 for a couple of weeks but it’s already going better 😅
