please feel free to write fics of these. or any of the ideas I post for that matter. I post them to share them with people. it's not like you're "taking" it after all, there nothing to stop me from writing a fic on the same theme - we're going to have different takes on it, and are going to write it in different ways, simply by virtue of being different people. and even if we weren't, like, who cares? two cakes!

OKAY OKAY OKAY. I'm deviating from my original idea here but CONSIDER: this but it's minelle.

diya convinces noelle to go with min to a punk rock concert because diya can't go but she doesn't want min to go alone and she's already tutoring her so like, please? and anyway noelle goes and is like. wait. why is this good. why do I like this. and is punkified.

noelle rebels against her mother. fully. and her & min's relationship essentially does a 180. I mean like they are still mean to each other but its Banter. they have each other's backs. (diya is over the moon that her two gfs gf and best friend are getting along.) one day noelle is recounting one of the arguments she had with her mom in which her mom was like, "what next? you tell me you're a lesbian?!" to which min is like "well what if you did"

noelle: .....

min: it'd annoy her SO much

noelle (interested): it would...

noelle: she wouldn't believe me unless I had like, proof though.

min: i volunteer as tribute.

and anyway minelle fake dating. THAT KISS SCENE IDEA THO IS SO GOOD. min and noelle (or ppkm for that matter) pulling back a bit and both being like. hey that felt pretty good. I think I wanna do that again. and going in for another one. meanwhile noelle's mom has fully passed out from seeing her beloved daughter kissing a girl*.

*enby. in one of two cases. not that noelle's mother knows.

youre SO right. especially in a no-diyamin situation im just. so normal about them. growing up in each others' pockets and thinking it was normal. and nobody ever disabusing them of this notion until they're so deep in it that it just slides off them without effect.

I can so easily imagine them just. sticking together. living together. going to different colleges in the same city and moving out of the dorms the first chance they get. looking for apartments to rent together with absolutely zero shame or self-consciousness as to how they look. how they act around each other, to each other.

I can so easily imagine every one of their new friends and coworkers all THINKING they're dating, but never going so far as to say so in as many words - or even if they do, using words that they simply misinterpret! Yes, Diya nods, Noelle is important to me. Partner, Noelle repeats, feeling the word in her mouth. Yes, that does describe her. I don't know where I'd be without her.

God. I'm so normal about them.
