I’m a wildlife carer in Australia (well my mum is) and mums carer mentor absolutely adores bats!

She has boxes of ‘bat wraps’ (the blankets and pillow) and has mesh cages for them to learn to fly and climb.

In fact here are some photos of the bats she has had in care as a gift for your ever lasting lotto of wholesome or terrifying content.

Oh, and sometimes they get tiny pillows!

And they get fed out of teensy baby bottles!

They are even given mini bat pacifiers to nurse on 💕

4am Diluc Brainrot - Give Diluc a hug

at 4am I had massive Diluc Brainrot, so I decided to get up write it down and share it, because why not. Also I have come to the conclusion that Diluc's bird is most likely an Osprey, they look similar and Osprey live in Germany so I guess it's the best real world equivalent. ALSO WE NEED A CANON NAME FOR THE BIRD >:(

Today was your lover’s birthday, meant to be a day filled with joy Diluc had confined himself to his office. All day the maids had tried to get him to come out, but their attempts proved fruitless. After half a day of unsuccessfully attempting to get Diluc to come out and at least eat, you made the decision to quickly travel to Mondstadt in an attempt to retrieve something to use as a bargaining chip.

Upon your arrival in the city your first stop is Mondstadt General Goods, where you pick up some juicy mice for Diluc’s beloved bird, who had been the only other life Diluc had interacted with today. Next you quickly stopped by Good Hunter to pick up a Pile 'Em Up to go. With your two items obtained you hurried back to Dawn Winery with higher hopes of success.

Pushing to great wooden door to the winery open, the maids were still gathered in the foyer speaking in hushed voices. You threw them an awkward wave through your shopping bags and hurried past them towards Diluc’s study. As you approached the door to Diluc’s office you pressed you ear against to door. The only sound coming through was the quiet chirps of his eagle and rustling paperwork, with a quiet sigh you go to open to door to find it locked. Luckily you had the key so as quietly as possible you unlocked and opened the door. Diluc’s back was facing you as he seemingly worked on paperwork for the winery, his eagle chirped at you from their stand as you approached your lover. You placed your bags down quietly beside his desk and pulled his loose hair away from his face kissing the newly exposed skin. Diluc flinched and turned to you with glossy unshed tears in his eyes. Your heart ached at his pain, and you leaned in to pepper his face in kisses as you shifted his chair and straddled his lap. “Oh, honey” you whisper embracing your lover and rubbing soothing circles on his back. Diluc brings his arms up to hold you tightly, as if you’ll leave when he lets go, and buries his head in the crook of your shoulder. You begin to rock him gently and whisper sweet endearments in his ear, you can feel the tension pouring out of your lover’s body as he sags against you exhausted. “You know that when you feel like this you can come to me right?” you say now massaging his scalp. He murmurs something about it being his problem into your neck and you pull him back as he whines at the loss of the hug. You gently cup his face, “Diluc, nothing is ever just your problem, it’s always okay to seek help even if you feel that you brought the situation upon yourself. Besides this is your feelings and grief, which are always not your fault. I’m always here for you so please, for me reach out and let me help.” You say looking into Diluc’s teary eyes. He sniffs and nods slowly trying to bury himself back into your neck, you let him and go back to massaging his scalp. “no one thinks that you any less of a person for seeking help or comfort, in fact not doing so will just make it worse” you whisper. Suddenly a loud flapping of wings is all that can be heard, and you have Diluc’s eagle on your other shoulder. You nudge Diluc to get him to look, “see, we all love you” you say as said eagle jumps onto Diluc to preen his hair. Both of you laugh quietly and love on the bird, who seems very happy about this change in attention. As you sit on Diluc lap as he strokes both his bird and your hair you move to grab the bags you brought. “I was going to use these to lure you out but seems I didn’t need to” You say holding up the Pile ‘Em Up, Diluc smiles, and you place the plate on the table shifting to sitting sideways on Diluc’s lap so you can share the meal together. Diluc’s Eagle chirps angrily and hops onto the table in protest. You both laugh again and you reach into the other bag to grab a mouse for him. “I didn’t forget about you” you grin, throwing him the mouse as he takes off to his perch. As you and Diluc share your Pile ‘Em Up and bask in each other’s presence, you feel like slowly Diluc is getting better.

Panda's guide to Genshin builds - Overview

Under the cut because it's long, also this is my personal way of doing builds for my characters and I'm honestly pretty 'meh' when it comes to builds in terms of perfection. But! if you are struggling to understand builds maybe I can help ya out!

let me know if you would like specific character build recommendations as well! I am trying to get them all and have all the 4* characters so I'm happy to do them!

So! you want to build a character, huh. This can be pretty daunting in terms of being proud of your build since there seems to be so much mixed opinions and 'oh ur build sux ahah' online. However, here I am to hopefully provide a stress free guide to basic building!

To begin with I am going to show you my three main builds Zhongli, (support) Xiao and Fischl (both DPS)

So keeping in mind that I am AR 55 so lower AR players don't need stats this high.

Fischl I use as a support DPS mainly deploying Oz to do damage and apply electro so for this build electro dmg and elemental mastery (EM) are important to maximise electro dmg and also ATK so Oz can do decent DMG. with 2,398 ATK and 98 EM Fischl is a great support DPS I have Amos' Bow on her which provides some more ATK. I also have her at C6 so she has some pretty neat bonuses as well. You don't need a 5* weapon of C6 to make an excellent build though, before I got Amos' Bow I had the BP bow because I liked the cyclone skill for crowd control, however the substat (crit rate) is only on this 4* bow, but you can use Prototype Crescent, Royal Bow, Rust or the new craftable Hamayumi for an ATK bonus. I won't get into artifacts just yet but a weapon with a good substat and keeping your talents as high as possible as you ascend will generally give you a decent build as a start. I recommend levelling up your talents to the ascension max as you go to keep your character at a good talent level.

Now Xiao is my main DPS so not only do I use his skills and ULT but he spends a lot of time dealing physical DMG while I wait for skill cooldowns. He has 2316 DMG which is slightly lower than Fischl but the gap is quite small and I prefer melee weapons for physical DMG anyway, he also has 61 EM to support his anemo attacks. Xiao is a good example to use when talking about choosing a weapon with a good substat. Since Xiao really benefits from a high crit rate that is the best weapon substat to give him, especially since it's harder to get on artifacts, Fischl can benefit from a lot of things depending on how you want to utilize her but Xiao consistently needs a high crit rate to do the highest damage. Primordial Jade Spear is the best weapon for him, but I don't have that yet so I personally use lithic spear on him currently, It has ATK boost rather than crit rate but I feel that ATK also works especially if you use him as a main like I do. I would recommend Deathmatch (BP with crit rate) or for ATK% lithic spear or royal spear. You could also use Crescent pike or Dragonspine spear if you wanted physical ATK bonus instead.

Zhongli is my support/healer (only because I have him at C6 simp) so His build is pretty different to the others. He has half the ATK at 1446 and a massive HP at 24606 and also very high EM at 244. Zhongli's shields DMG absorption scales off his HP so that is a stat you want as high as possible. since I mainly use his skills or ULT then change, a high EM lets me do good DMG and make his skills as effective as possible. In terms of weapon I have dragons bane on him for the EM (you could also use Kitain Cross) but he would also benefit from energy recharge so you could use Prototype Starglitter, Favonius Lance or if you have it the 5* Skyward spine. The upcoming 4* The Catch will also have energy recharge along with new 5* Engulfing Lightning

Now that I've shown you my builds here's some more general advice. Your main DPS you want high DMG and a decent EM as well, any support DPS you have benefit from high ATK and a higher EM. Supports generally need high EM and check to see what their shield/healing scales off and focus on that (HP, DEF, ATK, etc). The key to effectively building a character is knowing what their skills need and whether there is any particular stats that they are built to need a high amount of (crit rate - Xiao/crit dmg - Hu Tao) This can be hard since not every skill description is really clear about it, but afor a general rule of thumb a DPS need - ATK, EM and crit rate/dmg and supports vary more but tend to be clearer in what their skills scale from (Zhongli - HP / Noelle - DEF).

In South Australia our lovely wombats are a protected species. However! not the burrows they live in. This means that thousands of wombats die each year due to people filling burrows to complete work or to get rid of the 'eyesore' but the wombats cannot dig out as the dirt cannot be displaced so they suffocate slowly over hours. This is unacceptable, not only do these poor already at risk animals die painful deaths but even abandoned burrows can house a multitude of other precious australian natives that will suffer as well. Please sign this petition and get our wombats hames protected both for themselves and the other animals which call them home !

I got Genshin Shimeijis!!!

I recently fell down a shimeji hole and ended up getting three genshin shimejis; Xiao, Diluc and Zhongli!

adding extra skins was confusing at first but I ended up cutting and pasting the img files into the original shimeji img folder under three separate folders. Then it allows you to select which skins to use. Otherwise I couldn't get Xiao to work and Diluc and Zhongli functioned as separate apps. I found just moving the skins over is much better as all of the controls for every shimeji is in one area.

Genshin Clothes I'd wear Unironically

1. Lumine's boots - nothemeherenothemehereehe well I'm not sure how long I could wear knee/thigh highs due to sensory issues. however, I would wear these on days were I cold 100%

2. Lisa's belt- I love me a killer belt, and this is *chefs kiss* the rose, the buckle, all perfect and things I want in a belt.

3. Klee's boots - I need to admit I love Klee's outfit all so comfy :) Her boots are soo cute and comfy looking. And since they are leather or something similar (I assume) They are easy to mix with different looks!

4. Klee's coat - again see above. Klee's coat is soooo soft looking. I assume it's like an Oodie inside cause why not. Red is easy to work with and I'd always be warm!

5. Keqing's dress - I love purple, it's not my fav colour but it's up there. And this looks so elegant. I usually don't like short dresses but this would work really well with so many leggings. I love the layering and feather details on the front (also cat boob window, which I only would wear since it's not really a 'window')

6. Kaeya's belt- Defdon'talsothirstforbeltsnonoo I don't really like kaeya's overall look it's just not my taste. However, he does have a killer belt, I will admit.

7. Kaeya's boots - Also the only other thing i appreciate from Kaeya's outfit. Nice dark, easy to use with different combinations, a little high for long and constant use for me but not as bad as Lumine's.

8. Jeans Belt- Now I do really like Jean's outfit it's just not my personal wear style but again beltbootbeltboots I do like her belt. Blue (actual tied fave colour with blue-green spectrum) and both simple yet intricate enough to stand out.

9. Jean's boots- icanjustdoalistofallgenshinbootandbeltshhh Love the white and gold, doubles as armour for looking badass, and just step on me vibes tbh.

10. Hu Tao's coat- I adore the details on Hu Tao's coat! Dark brown with gold and a little red make for great pairings with the neutral or dark colours I tend to wear more often do this would fit right in!

1. Zhongli's coat- Love the design, and the details also looks comfy. I too wish to be as stylish as Zhongli, I'd wear his whole outfit but I only picked ones I'd wear outside cosplay/not only wear with that characters outfit.

2. Yanfei's Shorts- Really like the lace and asymmetrical design, they look super soft too, Black so they go with anything but with they also have a lil spice.

3. Xiao's Boots- I would also wear his whole outfit but only as a set but these boots *chefs kiss* I almost simp for these more than the man wearing them. The purple at the top and gold at the bottom, we love to see it.

4. Xiangling's boots- Can you tell i'm a boot whore yet? warm colours, gold accents these are truly shoes made for kicking ass with.

(Not random for people I know BUT) I have many animals. 12 Chickens, a labrador, a ragdoll cat who hates everyone most of the time and a Rat who CHONKY. I am also in the process of getting a therapy parrot for when I move out.

I really want to be more involved online but I tend to hyperfixate on fukin random things so it’s hard to stay really active for long times. This also impacts hobbies that I try and luckily hasn’t impacted my dream job or my pets (I don’t get a pet than hyperfixate to something else and forget it). Thanks Autism.... Not

My biggest pet peeves are related to people. Really annoying people, People who do nothing with their lives, fake people and people who are bothered by things people do that don’t affect them (gay peeps, fashion, religion, etc). I’m not sure why I feel strongly about these (except annoying people).
