Graveyard Siblings

This probably has been done before but my take on it.

In the final battle, Marinette dies. Betrayed by CN. HM makes his wish. With the sacrifice thing or she got stabbed. She is dead.

Gabriel and Adrien staged her death to look like a suicide but Emilie is unaware of this.

So far, Mari’s life was shit. Her classmates hate her with a few exceptions. Her parents were ensnared in Lila’s lies and hated her too. So they don’t go to the funeral.

Only ones who care about her are Luka, Kagami, Uncle Jagged, Penny, Alix, Chloe, maybe?, Felix.

So they attended Mari’s funeral. Along with Gina and Jason Todd who came as moral support for Gina when he finds out that her 15-year-old granddaughter died, the same age he did. They buried her. Gina mourns and leaves.

Jason stays behind and tells a little story about his own death.

He also begins to leave before hearing with his better-than-an-average-person hearing a nasally voice saying.

“How long until she comes back?”

“Right about now.” A shrill, sweet voice said.

He turns around, sees no-one.

Until a red energy is emitted from underneath Marinette Dupain-Cheng’s grave.

Jason stood still, drawing his guns.

Then the dirt moved. He watched as the dirt gave way and the hole got bigger, getting some flashbacks.

A hand comes out. Okay, Intense Flashbacks now. He will forever deny that he screamed.

Zombie apocalypse? No, the other graves aren’t moving.

A girl’s head popped out and later the rest of her body. Her pink dress was dirty from the dirt and there were some blood stains too.

“I am never doing that again.”

She stood up and faced him, seeing him with his guns drawn. She paled.

“Please don’t shoot me. I am not a Zombie. I don’t want to die again. The spell needs time to recharge.” In French.

“What? How? The fuck?”

“Oh English. I can do that. I was killed by someone. I knew it would happen so I cast a spell that would revive me again in a few days. Oh wait. This is actually a dream. You are asleep.”

“Sorry, Pixie. Too late for the dream shit. What was this about this being killed thing? You died by suicide.”

“Suicide, huh? The blame is always on me.” She muttered. “Can you not tell anyone about this? Or forget this ever happened? Thanks.”

Tikki and Plagg appeared carrying their respective jewellery.

“It worked? How about Nooroo and Dusuu?”

“Back in the box.” Tikki answered.

“What the fuck are those?”

“Part of the magic thing I mentioned. Right. Kalki, Voyage.”

A portal opened up.

“Where the hell are you going?”

“Getting some people tickets there with a pit stop in insanity”

She stepped through it and Jason followed.

They are in an apartment. She changed clothes. Jeans, t-shirt and a leather jacket. A backpack with the Miracle box and some necessaries.

“Why did you follow me?”

“I need some questions and I am not going to leave you alone until I get them answered.”

“Fine, I was the Parisian heroine, Ladybug and then, everything went to hell.”

She told him her story.

Jason now badly wants her as his little sister and kills some people on her behalf.

“How are you going to do that?”

“I know a guy, he can get what I need. Some of my friends know about my plan and they are going to help me. Now leave.”

“Sorry, Pixie. Take it from me. Revenge is not something you want to do.”

Jason knocks her out with some moves.

“Okay” he said, turning to the kwamis “Which one of you can open a portal outta here?”

“Why should we help you?”

“I am going to take her somewhere nice and safe, and also make sure she doesn’t kill anyone.”

Fluff- “Do it, Kalki. We can trust him.”

A portal opens up in the Batcave.

Surprised faces when Jason stepped through with a girl and some tiny floating creatures.

“Hey guys. This is my new little sister. I am adopting her. And these are her pets.”

“We are not pets. We are concepts of the universe and she is our Guardian.”

“Jason, I love you but what the fuck?”

“So you remember Gina, right. The cool grandma who sorta adopted me. This is her granddaughter and- hey!”

Marinette was awake and stabbed him (somewhere non-lethal). She tries running away before being stopped and tied up. She sees the Batfam in their uniform.

“Merde”

“That wasn’t very nice of you to stab Jason.”

“He kidnapped me. I was perfectly fine, going on with my own life.”

“You died and came back to seek revenge on those who wronged you. That is not perfectly fine. And you stabbed me. Say you are sorry.”

“I am sorry.” She muttered remorsefully, which everyone heard. “For ruining your jacket. Pity. It was a nice jacket.”

A few laughs.

“What was the thing about you dying and coming back and seeking revenge?”

“Can I?”-Jason

“You were going to tell them anyways.”

Jason told them of her betrayal, death, resurrection, digging out of her own grave and revenge.

“Shit. She’s a girl-Jason. Explains a lot.”

“I am here to make sure that she doesn’t at least go on a killing spree.”

“Dude, you just met me a few hours ago. You don’t know me at all. And that was a pretty big assumption to make. I am not going to kill the Agreste family.”

“Your big plan was to let go and move on?”

“Pff. As if. After what happened, who is going to just let it slide that easily. No, I was going to run a successful business and sway all of their customers over to my side. Making them a little desperate. Then, get someone to dig up a lot of dirt and leak it onto the internet. I am going to break them a little more by sending the kwamis to ‘haunt’ their house. A few curses here or there. Appear as myself once or twice posing as a manic ghost. Prolong their suffering and drive them mad. Death is too swift of a punishment.”

“On one hand, I am impressed. On the other hand, are you okay?”

“I died a few days ago. What do you think?”

“How are you so casual about your death?”

“Not my first time dying.”

“Is that normal? The dying.”

“Do you mean being at the edge of death or have actually died?”

“Actually died.”

“This is like my 10th time, I think. I am not sure if the time I got turned into a ghost count.”

Everyone looks on in shock.

“B, I already called dibs. No. Just no.”

Okay, so JL stuff. How did they not help her when she first appeared? Questions like that happened. Along with how did she get training and stuff?

“Okay.. This has been fun but can someone untie me and let me out of here. I have things to do.”

“B?”

“She’s not going on a killing spree. So that’s one less worry but she is still going to get revenge one way or another. We would need to keep an eye on her just in case. And probably knows our identity which is already a big risk.”

“What are you going to do with me?”

“We will help you with conditions. Documents, certificates, investments for a business. In return, you will stay with us, keep our secret and help us out with Gotham. We can keep an eye on you this way. ”

“Nope. No more heroing for me. I could provide the occasional back-up and helping hand every now and then. But my days as a superhero is over.”

“We are technically vigilantes.”

“Still no.”

“You can work with Oracle on surveillance and provide back-up.”

“Deal. I just have one question though.”

“Go ahead.”

“Who the fuck are you guys and where the hell am I?”

Blank looks. “Tell me you are kidding.”

“I am not.”

Okay. Explanations time. Identity reveals. Because it’s already too late and they made a deal. Maria Todd-Wayne is the newest member of the Wayne Manor.

She tells her friends that she’s not dead, Sherlock style. Tears, hugs and all that.

Jason and Maria bonded over shared trauma. She makes him a new leather jacket.

She goes to school as Maria Todd but no one connected the name to the Waynes yet and graduated early. Take college classes online after.

Jason and Marinette definitely make Undead jokes.

Oracle teaches Marinette how to hack. Her codename is Delphi. Out on the field, it’s Hell-bat. (I know Batman has an armour with that name but I like it so....)

Wears a bat-themed black helmet with a full-face visor that is magically enhanced to be unbreakable.

Matching leather jackets with Red Hood which made people speculate on their relationship until Red Hood punched someone who made a pass at his ‘little sister’ and that got caught on video and went viral on Twitter with #BigBroRedHood trending.

Uses guns too with rubber bullets and more anti-hero on the hero spectrum. But does not kill unless absolutely necessary. Which made Batman sleep easier because there isn’t another gun-toting, vengeful undead child running around Gotham, killing criminals.

Jason is a little miffed but respects her decision on her no killing-stance.
