“ARE YOU ALRIGHT THERE DARLIN’?” Asked Arthur while looking over his shoulder to see you leaning against his back while your arms are around his waist.

“Mhm i’m fine.” You murmured while nuzzling even closer against Arthur’s back.

Arthur chuckled while turning back to focus on the road, leading his horse along the small sand path in front of him.

“Are you comfortable?” He asked after a while. “Yes honey.” You smiled softly while looking over Arthur’s shoulder to see where you were currently riding.

“Are we almost there?” You asked, making Arthur chuckle. “Almost sweetheart.” He smiled while shaking his heart slightly.

“Always so impatient.” Murmured Arthur under his breath. “Hey i heard that.” You scoffed while playfully hitting his back.

“Oh i’m sorry ma’am.” Joked Arthur while giving your hands which were still around his waist, a little squeeze.

You and Arthur were currently on your way to one of your favorite hangout spots on his horse. After both of you worked your asses off for the gang for the past couple of weeks, you two realized it was time the two of you relaxed a little. Especially after it’s been a month of having any quality time with one another.

So, when Dutch decided to give you both a day off, you and Arthur almost immediately decided to go out of camp to a small lake nearby, to just relax with one another.

You were responsible for the food and Arthur was responsible for well…just getting the two of you to the lake.

Before the two of you left this morning, you packed a small lunch basket with various sorts of snacks, strawberries, bread, chocolate, two slices of cake, some candy and a bottle of wine. You also grabbed a blanket for you and Arthur to sit on. This day was going to be perfect. You were sure of it.

Arthur hummed a nice little melody while turning the horse to his right, leading you two towards the lake which was in fact, already in front of you.

“We’re here hon.” Arthur said while his horse came to a halt. “Really?” Your excited voice spoke from behind his back.

You looked over Arthur’s shoulder to see a beautiful blue lake with tall grass and flowers around it.

“It’s beautiful.” You sighed happily while trying to get off Arthur’s horse. “Hey!” Arthur said while quickly wrapping his arm around your waist, helping you down.

“Thank you.” You smiled sheepishly before twirling around, appreciating the beautiful view and sunny weather.

Arthur could not help but smile while looking at you. You looked absolutely beautiful. He would look at you for days if he could.

“Are you coming cowboy?” You smiled while grabbing the lunch basket. “Yeah i’m coming.” Chuckled Arthur while sliding down his horse.

“Let me get that for you.” He smiled while taking the basket from your grip. Arthur held the basket in his left hand and took hold of your hand with the other.

Together, the two of you walked towards the tall grass near the lake. You soon found the perfect place to settle and grabbed the blanket out of the basket. Arthur watched how you splayed the blanket on the grass before settling down on it.

“What are you waiting for?” You smiled, noticing how Arthur was staring at you. Arthur was quickly pulled back to reality by your voice and cleared his throat. He carefully put the basket down before sitting down himself.

“I missed this.” You murmured while shuffling closer to Arthur. “Me too.” Arthur sighed softly while spreading his legs so you could sit between them.

Soon you were settled between Arthur’s legs while leaning against his chest. “You look beautiful today darlin’.” Arthur complimented before kissing your cheek.

“Thank you honey. You look quite good yourself.” You smiled slightly. Arthur rolled his eyes playfully. He was never really good at accepting any kind of compliment or praise, so usually he just rolled his eyes at the comments or pretended to not hear them.

“Don’t roll your eyes at me Mister Morgan.” You laughed while pointing your chin towards the sky so you could look at your man.

Arthur’s lips curled up in a shy smile before leaning down to place a small peck on your lips.

“I love you Arthur Morgan.” You sighed happily, making Arthur blush. “And i love you sweetheart.” He smiled while tracing your skin.

“We should do this more often.” You said while staring ahead of you, enjoying the sun. “If only Dutch would let us.” Arthur mumbled, reaching for the basket.

You watched how he opened the basket and pulled out the first snack, Strawberries.

“You want one ma’am?” Arthur smiled down at you. You nodded excitedly and watched how Arthur opened the small box which contained the fruit.

Arthur fetched a strawberry from the box and held in front of you. He watched how you took a bite from it before quickly popping the other half in his own mouth.

“Hey!” You called while turning around to face Arthur. “What is the problem miss?” Arthur smirked while looking at you.

“That was mine.” You said while putting on your best pouting face. Arthur couldn’t help but laugh before grabbing his cowboy hat from his head to place it on your head.

“Adorable.” Arthur gave you a wink, causing you to roll your eyes before lunging forward, wrapping your arms around his neck while Arthur pulled you onto his lap.

“You want more strawberries?” Arthur asked, stroking your back while you completely relaxed. “Yes.”

Artur smiled while grabbing another strawberry. He held in front of your mouth and in no time, the strawberry was gone. “It is so good.” You sighed while Arthur popped one into his own mouth.

“I agree.” Arthur replied before rummaging through the other contents of the basket.

“What do you want now?” Arthur asked while you leaned your head against his shoulder. “Cake?” Your sweet voice said. “An amazing choice.” Chuckled Arthur, grabbing the two pieces of cake out of the basket.

“I think i ate too much darlin’.” Grunted Arthur while looking up at the beautiful blue sky. The two of you were currently lying down on the blanket, Arthur on his back and you on your side with one leg swung over Arthur’s waist.

“You think so?” You smiled while gently touching Arthur’s cheek. Arthur grunted again, tightening his grip on your body while closing his eyes.

“You did eat a lot honey.” You almost whispered. Arthur opened his eyes just to roll them, causing you to scoff.

“Don’t roll your eyes at me mister!” You said while nudging his shoulder. “Oh I apologize ma’am.” Arthur chuckled. He moved his hands down to your hips and lifted you easily onto his lap.

You both stared into each other’s eyes for a moment. Just admiring the presence of the other. God you loved spending time with Arthur. He always made you feel so relaxed and happy.

“What are you thinkin’ about mhm?” Arthur’s low voice spoke. A small smile crept onto your face while shrugging. “Just happy to be here with you.”

Arthur’s lips moved up in a smile before pulling you down so he could kiss you. The moment your lips touched his, you wrapped your hands around his neck to pull him closer if that was even possible. Arthur chuckled against your lips before moving both of your bodies up, so he was sitting on the blanket with you still on his lap.

“I love you sweetheart.” Mumbled Arthur against your lips. You pulled away from his touch and gently moved your hand through his hair. “I love you too cowboy.”

Arthur couldn’t help but laugh before he used his strength to get back to his feet with you still wrapped around him.

“Arthur what are you doing?” You asked, noticing Arthur was moving towards the lake. “Nothin’.” He smirked while kicking off his boots on the grass.

“Arthur…” You warned slowly. Arthur just ignored you and took your boots off as well, throwing them next to his.

“You are not going to throw me in there, Morgan.” You warned again. Arthur just smiled while his feet came in contact with the blue water.

“Arthur i’m wearing clothes!” You tried to stop him from doing whatever he was trying to do, but it didn’t help.

“I have spare clothes in my satchel.” Arthur murmured while stepping deeper into the waist.

“Yeah for you! Not for me.” You said immediately. “Then you will wear some of my clothes okay? I know you like wearing them.” Arthur chuckled.

You rolled your eyes and embraced yourself for the feeling of the cold water against your skin.

“Are you ready girl?” Arthur asked with a sly smile on his face. You shook your head, causing Arthur to laugh.

Within seconds both of your bodies were completely in the lake, and both of your clothes completely drained.

“I hate you!” You hissed, feeling the cold water against your skin while swimming away from Arthur, splashing some water onto his face.

“Hey get back here!” Arthur laughed, quickly swimming after you. “We could’ve at last taken off our clothes.” You said once Arthur caught up with you.

“Now where is the fun in that?” Arthur teased while wrapping his arms around your waist while you wrapped you legs around his.

“You are going to pay for my new clothes.” You said, trying to sound angry. Unfortunately you failed miserably as a small smile appeared on your face.

“Or darlin’, you could just let them dry.” Arthur smiled while holding up his shoulders. “Mhm i like the other option better, Morgan.” You smiled.

Arthur made an “ah” noise before leaning down to kiss you. “Then i will buy some new clothes, okay?” Arthur asked while giving your hips a little squeeze. You hummed, resting your chin on Arthur’s shoulder.

“I like spending quality time with you.” You murmured. Arthur’s lips curled up in a smile while he softly patted your back. “Me too sweetheart, me too.”

“If only Dutch would give it to us more.” You sighed. Arthur sighed while looking across the water. One day you and him will leave the gang, leave all the criminality and other things behind to start a normal life somewhere else. Maybe in a small house near town, or maybe a cabin in the forest? Or near a lake? It didn’t matter to Arthur. The only thing that truly mattered to him was getting you and him out of here before it was to late. And he was certainly that he would succeed at that.

“FOR FUCKS SAKE.” You murmured while sliding a hand over your forehead. You sat up in your bed, trying to calm your breathing by inhaling deeply through your nose and releasing it through your lips.

You had a nightmare. Again. This was the 5th time since arriving on Arrakis with your family.

Ever since setting a foot on the planet, you had this strange feeling in your stomach. It didn’t feel normal to be on Arrakis. Not when you knew this planet used to be ruled by the Harkonnens.

You still remember the day when your father, Duke Leto Atreides heard the news about being chosen to be the new leader of Arrakis.

You were in the training hall with your brother Paul and Duncan Idaho. You were discussing new combat strategies when Leto entered the room. The moment the words were out of your father’s mouth, your stomach dropped. Everyone knew that this was bad news. Everyone knew that being send to Arrakis was a trap. A trap your house couldn’t refuse.

“It is going to be okay.” Leto assured you and Paul while Duncan just stared at him. Leto had seen the shocked faces on you and Paul’s face. He tried his best to calm both of you, but he failed miserably.

“When are we leaving?” Asked Paul quietly. Leto sighed while scratching his beard. “Soon.”

You swallowed deeply while your thoughts immediately went to Gurney Halleck. One of your father’s most important men.

Did Gurney knew about this? You wondered while looking at your father. “May i leave? I was supposed to meet with mother this afternoon.” You lied while trying to avoid eye contact with your father.

Leto could see the fear in your eyes. He could see it in Paul’s eyes as well, but with you it was different. He knew how deeply attached you were to your home planet Caladan. You all were. And now you were supposed to move to a big sandbox with nothing but Spice to make it an important planet.

“Yes you may leave.” Leto said softly. You gave a small nod, said a quick goodbye to Paul and Duncan before leaving the training hall.

Gurney. You needed to find him. You wanted to feel his warm embrace and his gentle kisses, knowing that those two things always calmed you when needed.

With quick steps you walked towards Gurney’s quarters, hoping he would be there to calm you down. When you arrived at his door, you took a deep breath before knocking.

“Who is it?” Came the deep voice of Gurney. “It’s me.” You answered softly. Gurney immediately recognized your voice and walked to the door.

When the door opened and Gurney saw your worried and sad face, he waisted no time in pulling you into him, slowly closing the door after you.

“I don’t want to leave Caladan.” You murmured into his chest. Gurney let out a deep sigh while softly placing a hand on the back of your head. “I know Sweetheart, i don’t want to leave either.”

You slowly pulled back from Gurney to look into his eyes. “It is a trap. My father must know it. The Emperor wants to get rid of him and so do the Harkonnens.” You said.

A small apologetic smile appeared on Gurney’s face. “That doesn’t matter in this situation. Your father can’t refuse this proposal. He has to do what the Emperor requested of him. And who knows? It might not be a trap. Perhaps your father can change Arrakis and make it a better place.” Gurney tried his best to show you the bright side of everything, in which he failed.

“Do you really believe that?” You asked quietly. Gurney saw the sadness in your eyes and pulled you back against his chest. You immediately wrapped your arms around his neck, wanting to be as close as possible to him.

“I am afraid.” You admitted quietly. “I know sweetheart.” Sighed Gurney. He placed a kiss on top of your head before speaking again. “But you don’t have to be. Your father is a smart man. He knows what to do and how to do it. And besides that, you still have me and i will always be there for you. I promise.” Gurney assured you.

You placed your chin on Gurney’s chest so you could look at him. “Forever?” You asked. Gurney smiled and nodded. “Forever sweetheart.” He whispered before leaning in to kiss you.

Gurney. You thought while going back to the present, realizing you were still in your bed in your new room on Arrakis.

Quickly but quietly you got out of bed and went over to your door. You slowly opened it and peered into the dark hallway. No one in sight. You stepped into the dark hallway and began heading for Gurney’s room.

Within 5 minutes you were standing in front of Gurney’s new quarters. You softly knocked on his door, hoping he was inside.

“Who is it?” You heard his voice ask. “It’s me.” You replied quietly. “Come in, the door is open.”

Slowly you opened the door to Gurney’s room. Your eyes immediately met his. Gurney was sitting on his bed, leaning against the headboard while having a book in his hands.

“Is everything okay sweetheart?” Asked Gurney while closing his book and putting it down on his nightstand.

You softly shook your head. “I had another nightmare.” You told him. Gurney sighed while giving you a sympathetic look. “Oh honey…”

“Come here.” He said while patting the spot next to him. You quickly made your way to his bed and climbed onto it just to fall into Gurney’s warm embrace.

“What was it this time?” He asked while holding you close to him. “The harkonnens attacked us. I saw fire, bodies lying on the ground, people screaming, children crying. It was horrible.” You said quietly.

“I’m sorry to bother you this late but i just wanted to feel your comfort.” You almost whispered while tightening your grip on Gurney.

“Bother me?” Asked Gurney. “You could never bother me sweetheart. You ought to know that now. I promised to be there for you, remember”

A small smile crept onto your face while nodding. “So never think that you are bothering me, okay?” Gurney gave you a stern but sweet look which caused you to smile even more.

“Okay.” You said before moving your head back against his chest. “Can i stay here tonight?” You asked after a moment of silence.

“Of course you can.” Smiled Gurney while looking down at you. He stared at you for a while before grabbing the sheets of his bed. He carefully pulled his sheets up and covered both of your bodies with it. You nuzzled even further into his chest while placing your hands on his hips.

“Do you want me to read to you or would you like to sleep?” Gurney asked softly. “Reading.” You murmured, not looking up.

“Okay then reading it is.” Chuckled Gurney while grabbing his book from his nightstand. He browsed through the pages until he found where he had been.

Gurney placed a sweet kiss on top of your head before clearing his throat.

“Are you listening?” He asked. When you gave him a small nod he began reading out loud.

You immediately felt all your worries slipping away while you focused on the beautiful voice of Gurney. You were grateful for having someone like him, you thought while tightening your grip on his body.

You knew Gurney would always be there for you, just like he had said. And you couldn’t be more happier about it.

“SHIT!” You cursed as your eyes fluttered open. You immediately looked around you and your eyes immediately softened when they fell upon your lovely boyfriend, Oscar.

But that didn’t stop you from quickly getting out of bed to see if you had bled through your pyjama shorts.

“Please don’t let it be.” You whispered to yourself while carefully reaching for the bedsheets.

Once you held the sheets in your hand, you quickly pulled it away and your eyes immediately dropped.

You bled through.

“No no no no….” You groaned as you quickly ran to the mirror to look at your ass.

“Fuck.” You sighed as you saw a red stain on your shorts.

You were ashamed. Most people would say you shouldn’t be ashamed about something like this, and you knew they were right, but still, you didn’t feel really great either.

Tonight was literally the first night you decided to spend the night at Oscar’s place. You’ve been dating for a few months and tonight, you decided to take it to the next step.

“Fuck what do i do?” You whispered to yourself while holding your hands in your hair. You could feel the tears starting to form in the corner of your eyes and you tried your absolute best to keep them from falling.

What if Oscar was gonna be mad? What if he would find it disgusting?

Your mind was racing with all these sorts of thoughts. You needed to clean it up before Oscar would wake up and see it. Unfortunately, that became impossible when you heard Oscar softly calling for you.

“(Y/n)?” He groaned as he turned around to see you standing next to the bed.

You were quick to push the sheets back over the stain to keep Oscar from seeing it.

“What are you doing?” Oscar asked tiredly while rubbing his eyes.

“I…uh.” You tried to come up with an excuse but somehow your mind was blocked. You could only stare at Oscar, hoping he hadn’t noticed the stain.

“Baby are you okay?” Asked Oscar as he moved to sit up straight in bed so he could have a good look on you.

You swallowed a lump down your throat before looking down at your feet, avoiding Oscar’s gaze.

Don’t cry, don’t cry, don’t cry. You thought to yourself when you felt the tears grow bigger.

“Hey look at me. Talk to me baby.” Oscar said while looking at you.

You slowly moved your head back up to look at Oscar, and when you did, you just couldn’t stop the tears from falling.

Oscar’s face immediately fell as he quickly jumped out of bed and ran towards your side of the bed to comfort you.

“I’m sorry.” You sobbed into his chest the moment Oscar pulled you into him.

“What happened honey?” Asked Oscar while looking down at you. You buried your face in chest before speaking up.

“I got my period and I accidentally stained the bed.” You sniffed, not daring to look at Oscar now.

Oscar furrowed his eyebrows as he carefully reached for the sheets, wanting to take a look at it himself.

“Don’t.” You said as you wrapped your hand around his wrist.

“Baby it’s okay.” Oscar told you before pulling the sheets off the bed, revealing the red stain.

You immediately hid your face in Oscar’s chest while he just looked at the stain.

“Sweetheart, look at me.” Sighed Oscar softly as he looked down at you.

Slowly, you pulled away from his chest and met his gaze. Oscar took a deep breath upon seeing your red puffy eyes and your wet cheeks from crying so much. He hated seeing you like this. You weren’t supposed to cry. There was nothing to be ashamed of.

“I’m sorry.” You mumbled while looking up at Oscar.

“Don’t apologize baby.” Oscar sighed softly while cupping your cheek.

“But it’s gross…” You said quietly. Oscar shook his head and placed a strand of hair behind your ear.

“It’s not gross (y/n), it’s normal. It’s just period blood. There is nothing to be ashamed about honey, i promise.” Oscar told you with a smile.

“But I literally bled onto your bed the first night staying here.” You sighed while looking down.

“So? It’s nothing we can’t clean, baby.” Oscar said while slowly lifting your chin up with his finger.

“Why don’t you go take a bath while i clean the sheets, hmm?” Asked Oscar with a gentle smile.

“Okay.” You sighed while a small smile appeared on your lips.

“I love you sweetheart.” Oscar told you before placing a sweet kiss on the top of your head.

“I love you too Oscar.” You smiled before heading for the bathroom, ready to take a bath.

While you took a bath, Oscar changed the sheets. He carefully took the sheets off his bed and put them in the washer. After that, he grabbed new sheets and made up his bed.

When he was done, he quickly put on his shoes and jacket and headed for the door.

There was a small night store around the corner of his apartment. So he decided to go there, and buy some pads, tampons and of course a lot of chocolate.

When he returned from his little trip, he quickly placed the chocolate on his bed before heading towards the bathroom.

“Baby?” He asked as he softly knocked on the door. It was quiet for a moment until you opened the door slightly, just revealing your face.

“I bought you some pads and tampons in case you didn’t have any.” Oscar smiled proudly while holding up two packages.

You couldn’t help but smile upon seeing how proud Oscar looked for buying you these products.

“Thank you.” You smiled shyly while taking the packages from his hands.

“I’ll be ready in five minutes.” You told Oscar before closing the door again.

While waiting for you to come out of the bathroom, Oscar had undressed and got into bed while placing the chocolate on your side of the bed, so those were the first things you would see.

“I’m done.” Your sweet voice called after opening the bathroom door. You were wearing one of Oscar’s big t-shirts which fell just above your knees and it looked absolutely adorable.

“Hey beautiful.” Oscar greeted as you quickly made your way over to the bed.

“What’s this?” You smiled while looking down at the various kinds of chocolates laying on your side of the bed.

Oscar shrugged. “I just thought you would like some chocolate now.” He smiled.

“Thank you.” You smiled while once again, tears started to appear in the corners of your eyes.

“Are you crying?” Asked Oscar with a slight chuckle. You quickly shook your head.

“It’s just the hormones.” You sniffed while Oscar opened his arms for you.

“Come here.” He chuckled. You waisted no time in climbing into bed and snuggling up against Oscar’s warm body.

“Thank you.” You whispered while playing with Oscar’s fingers.

“You’re welcome sweetheart.” Smiled Oscar while kissing the top of your head.

“I got off early.” Jonathan smiled while looking down at your intertwined hands.

“Lucky you.” You sighed. “I’m still gonna be here until 7.” You groaned, causing Jonathan to chuckle.

“No you’re not. I’m here to pick you up.” Jonathan smiled proudly. You furrowed your eyebrows while looking at him.

Jonathan tried his best not to smile while leaning closer towards your ear.

“I told your boss that you had a family emergency, so you can get out of here.” Jonathan whispered.

“Why?” You whispered back while staring ahead of you.

Jonathan chuckled and moved back so he was looking at your face.
