..but, of course, we shouldn't forget Marigold's lovely apprentice! Or- it would be former apprentice by now, but we're sure that the semantics don't matter that much. They're still in contact, we can tell you that much. Though it may be a tiny bit worrying that she's so dead-set on a field of Charmcraft that's mostly outlawed.

The beast coils itself from within the woods, long and ungainly, twisted horns of distorted chitin bursting from its eyes. One side of its mandibles is too long, too many eyes flaring in the recessed depths of its sockets. Its wings are twisted, its antenna long and warped, and when it opens its jaws, its speech sounds like a garbled rendition of a dying wasp's screams.
There is no sign of the messenger but his bag of goods, torn open and left by the side of the road; I fear to retrieve even that, staring the beast down as I am. The claw marks that tear his equipment asunder are too long to be of any mundane beast, and yet, as I stare down the monster before me, I fear I know precisely what they may belong to.
It jerks forwards, an unnatural movement, tripping on all too many joints as if it is a puppet on faulty strings. I do not waste time seeing what it will do if it reaches me, taking flight at once. Its wings, it seems, are for show, as it doesn't follow me even as it flares them wide and shrieks bloody murder at my flight.
I leave the last remnants of my junior behind me, guarded by the beast. I can only hope that he forgives me, wherever dead wasps roam.

ME AND @monsterhatdoodles MADE FARRON’S WIFE REAL HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE NOW SELENE HAS TWO AWFUL PARENTS
Meet lady Arabella! Lord Farron’s wife and Selene’s mother (do not trust her sweet appearance she is mean as heck)
Lady Arabella is the princess of another ancient tribe and was set up in an arranged marriage between the Mapop Clan which was how they met,they soon grew very close and the marriage went very well. Lady Arabella like her husband was very sweet at first,but once he was getting more and more power hungry she began to encourage it and helped Lord Farron with situations he wasn’t the best at such as more social things,Arabella is quite nasty and likes to manipulate others to get her way,and will sometimes even take out people simply because she doesn’t like them,and sometimes can be even scarier than Farron when things don’t go her way..
Once Selene came along Arabella was in charge of teaching Selene to become “proper” and “well mannered” so she could be a good leader for the Mapop clan when she gets older,she put very high standards on Selene and if she did any of her lessons wrong it would usually end in Selene being yelled at or getting a smack on the face,Arabella also made sure to keep Selene under her and Farron’s thumbs so she wouldn’t try to rebel
Even after all this her and Farron’s relationship is still very good,they love each other very much and would gladly commit war crimes together <3

so a couple of months ago @monsterhatdoodles offhandedly suggested that i make lohen a swan monster rather than just a normal one and i can't stop thinking about this joke we made where they're having a """family dinner""' together and dragato says "guess what? lohen brought a new boyfriend to dinner!". smash cut to a corpse on the floor. everyone asks the semi-legitimate dictator why they haven't done anything about all the murders and they just kinda shrug it off like. "huh that's pretty funny. i sure do wonder who could be doing this. huh. i sure do wonder. anyway." smash cut to another corpse on the floor. like father like daughter.
