Thankfully, the hate is mostly not in the penned "Darabella" tag for the ship, but you don't have to scroll too far I believe in either the "Daring Charming" tag or the "Rosabella Beauty" tag to find the posts about people who "vomit" about this ship. There was also one I found that was just in the "Ever After High" tag. Yeah, I could show you the exact posts if you really want, but they aren't that hard to find if you scroll long enough.

To all you shippers out there who dont like darabella and like other ships. I just wanna put this out their for like a warning or for future refrence on any ship.

Please don’t go agro on mattel because of what you saw in epic winter. We as shippers should respect their choice on making darabella happen. I personally don’t care for the ship but im not gonna go batshit crazy.

Let’s not start shipping wars, please thats the last thing we need. So lets just enjoy the show.

Ive been looking through they tag and have seen nothing but good stuff about darabella, execept for that occasional shipper who despises the ship and i’m not saying its not their its just i havent seen it.

Epic Winter

Ahh! I really liked it! I almost want to watch it again right away, but I got other stuff to do...

(Spoilers Below)

What I think I really like about this one was that it wasn't focused on Apple and Raven. I mean, they are great, but I've always wanted to see the other characters on the forefront. This special did a great job of putting the characters I like in that spot: Briar, Ashlynn, Blondie, Rosabella. Now if only they had Cerise or Cedar, it would have been more epic. I also really liked all the action-packed adventure and world-exploring. Besides Wonderland, the specials usually just take place at Ever After High. It was fun seeing our heroes go exploring far out into the world of Ever After and visit the various castles of other queens. I mean, it would have been nicer if we could have met their parents also, but hopefully we get to see more of them in the future (It was nice seeing Jillian's dad).

I loved the subplot storylines. Blondie was wonderful. Faybelle's was very interesting and I loved the mob fairies (although I wish she had better character development, but I guess that's just Faybelle. Maybe in the future). I did really love the Briar and Faybelle interaction. That was adorable and something I have been looking forward to for a while so yay! Bribelle is the new Rapple. Also, I really really really loved the Daring and Rosabella storyline! It was perfect! All I could hope for in my wild shipper dreams! With Daring usually being the comic relief, I was afraid they weren't going to take it seriously, but they did (more or less)! And Daring gained some wonderful character development that I knew he had in him. Him and Rosabella together are super cute! And I hope they remain/become a couple in future webisodes or specials.

The only things I could think of that I didn't like that very much were Crystal Winter and the Snow Siblings (Jackie and North). Her whole character and storyline was a bit meh to me. I mean it wasn't my favorite part of the special, but I certainly didn't find her to be as horrible as some people say. She got nice growth though, in my opinion, at the end of it all and I admire that. Jackie and North were a bit lame for villains but I really liked their character designs.

Overall, I loved the special and I will probably watch it again! Now off to enjoy the wonderfulness that is Darabella and Bribelle!

Rosabella and Daring Becoming a Couple

Everyone else: Ugh, no way! Why EAH?? How could you do this?! This is so gross and random! UGH!

I agree that it is not homophobic to not like a ship or ship a different pairing. Some people might be quick to say it is, but it really is not. People can ship whomever they like.

The thing that I think many people in this fandom would agree to call homophobic is saying that Darling's action to save Apple's life in Dragon Games was purely just CPR. Yes, in the junior novelization they describe it as CPR, but in the movie it is more debatable. Darling surely went in with the intention to perform CPR, but when their lips touched there was a magical glow of light. That certainly doesn't happen with CPR, even in a fantasy setting.

The thing with the story of Snow White that everyone knows and has been used countless times again is that when Snow White is poisoned only True Love's Kiss (or some ___ kiss) can be used to break the spell. That is how it has always been assumed. So why is it that when Darling does it, it is just CPR? If Daring had done it and his lips helped cure Apple, many people would call it a kiss. But since Darling did it, some people are quick to claim, "What? No! It was just CPR. Just a friend helping a friend! Just Gals being Pals!" That is what is homophobic.

So yes, Darling went in to perform CPR. But the thing with CPR is that it is used often in popular culture as a way to kiss someone. So, ultimately Darling and Apple kissed, and their kiss broke the spell like it does in all Snow White stories. Darling is Apple's Prince(ss) Charming. It doesn't mean they are going to end up together though, especially since following destiny doesn't seem to be an important part of the show anymore.

So, it is not homophobic to not like ApplexDarling, but it certainly is homophobic to deny that Darling and Apple kissed (even if unintentionally) to break the Evil Queen's curse like all other Snow White stories.

One thing I don’t understand is how someone is automatically homophobic if they don’t ship Apple White and Darling Charming together. Sure Darling saved Apple’s life and their stories are now destined to cross, but it was cpr. The kiss of life. Darling could be gay as hell. Yes. But what about the idea that maybe she’s done her part for Apple’s story already and that was it? What if she was just fulfilling her role as a heroine and that was that? What if she never settles down because she’s so in love with the hero life? What if she’s better shipped with someone else like Ginger or Chase or Hopper or Briar? What if her next heroic deed was to awaken Briar? What if I still just don’t like Apple White? I absolutely hated her when everything began (she was so freakin’ selfish). “But that could very well be LGBT representation in a kids show and this is good!” It can be taken however you want. Romantically or just practically. It’s unfair to label a stranger homophobic because they disagree on a ship with you. Their reason could be that they just think Ginger and Darling make a better couple, for hell’s sake!

Dragon Games was such a shipping ride

I went into it shipping Rapple.

For a good portion of the movie I was like, "Raven x Darling would make such a great couple. Sorry Apple!"

Then the Apple x Darling "true love's kiss" happened!

So ultimately I have discovered my first poly ship.

After watching Dragon Games, the Power Princess Shining Bright song takes on so much more of a gay subtext.

I was taking a look back at the doll leaks from a few weeks ago, and I just realized that they gave Melody blue eyes! BLUE EYES?! She even has them on her box picture. Like, WHAT THE HECK MATTEL?!! Melody has been shown to have brown eyes in the webisodes and even in book art, so like why did you now give her blue eyes?! What is wrong with brown eyes????

Wonderland Week Day Four - Favourite Wonderland Couple

Kitty x Lizzie (Kitzie)

Shh, I know I'm late, but blah! Anyway, so Kitzie is definitely my Wonderland OTP (not a brotp!) I have loved these two together since we first saw them hanging out in the background. Nothing will break up my love for Kitzie! (although I also kind of like the idea of Lizzie/Alistair and Lizzie/Cedar... Lizzie is just soo shippable)

Comic with all the Wonderlandians

Well I was going to draw a comic, but my dog is having medical issues, and they were especially worse today; so, I didn't have the heart in me or the time to do it. Hopefully, I'll be able to draw it in the near future. Basically it was just going to be a fun little joke about how they are all short xD

Oh well, hopefully I'll be able to do something for day four tomorrow!

Wonderland Week Day Two:

Alistair and Bunny Redesigns

For Bunny I have always liked her to be a POC. I especially loved the designs with her that used to float about with her being darker skin but still having cute white hair ergo her being the daughter of the white rabbit. I also did like that one design a person drew a while ago that everyone thought was the actual design of her (you all know which one I'm talking about right?) Yeah anyone of those would be better than the real Bunny.

As for Alistair, I would rather he have black hair, because we have way too many blue-eyed, blonde characters. I was really hoping he would have black hair! I also would have liked him to have a more Victorian England gentleman sort of outfit, but I don't think his outfit in the webisodes was too shabby. It’s his doll that is very cringy.
