@thealoofmystery Exactly! It’s not that Mycroft has no feelings, it’s just that he’s very good at hiding them. He has had to do it almost all his life. It’s the little things that demonstrates how much he cares about Sherlock: he worries constantly about his drug addiction, he always has people investigating about his cases and watching him to make sure he’s not involved in something too dangerous, he uses his influence as big British government man to get him out of trouble, etc etc etc. And Sherlock or never saw it or was barely aware of his affection. I like to believe that Sherlock realized how important is Mycroft to him when Eurus asked to shoot him. For some reason we can only speculate, Sherlock thinks his big brother has abandon him. But when he had the possibility of his death so close it was like “I didn’t lose him. He was always there. I can’t lose him now” and then he realizes everything he has done with Readbeard and that he was, indeed, looking after him all those years. He defends Mycroft in front of their parents. He has his brother back and Mycroft also sees the change in their brotherly relationship. The Holmes brothers are amazing.

I have the theory that both Eurus and Mycroft’s breakpoint is Sherlock.

England would fall indeed. The world has lost a star to give her to the night sky. Una, our dear Mrs. Hudson, you will always be remembered.

There was no mention to season 5, of course, but at the end Mark says “stay tuned” and I screamed. He’s giving us hope (again).
