This 1924 uh, er...roof is a bargain for $240K. It's located in Garden City, KS and has 2bds, 2ba.
Not bad, right? The entrance actually reminds me of an earth ship home. This is a nice, sunny, plant room with a built-in seat.
It must've been remodeled b/c it's giving mid-century modern vibes. The living room is spacious, has a great fireplace and a built-in desk with a storage armoire and wood plank beamed ceiling. I like the tile floor and the lighting, too.
Needs a good cleaning, some decor, and it will be a beautiful room.
This is unique- doors open to reveal a terrace to the plant room.
There are so many interesting features to this home, like a large walk-in closet.
There are also open levels. Lots of them.
More stairs. Could this be a bedroom? There's a full bath and a curtain for privacy.
The bath was definitely remodeled in mid-century. Look at the sinks.
Lots of shelving in the hallway. At least I think it's a hallway.
More stairs.
Look at the bathroom sink in there- it's in a recessed box-like structure with a light.
This is the dining area with an overhead chandelier and built-in cabinets.
And, the kitchen.
It's nice and on one of the upper levels, so the window has a view of the room below.
Kitchen and dining room.
The family room has a lovely fireplace.
Across from the family room is another open area. I don't know what you'd use that for. Maybe a home office.
Through the doors of the family room, there seems to be a small loft area and more stairs.
On the way down the stairs there's a planter.
This house is like a maze. Looks like a closet and bath.
And, down here is the laundry room.
I like this house, but right now I'm lost. I think it's the stupid photos they took.
At last, I think I found a bedroom.
We're back in the plant room. If you look up, you can see one room above and another room below.
The back of the property has a large cement area and fence.
Inside the fence is a huge dirt yard and a cement patio.
There's a shed, too. It really needs some landscaping and looks like there's plenty of room for a garden. It's an 8,681 sq. ft. lot.
No shade but that's literally every business. Like selling A pays for things. Rental property could also be retail , like stores. Youre not filthy rich from 5 properties unless they are high rises. You're basic middle class. You're not Elite .....
Rich people openly brag about intentionally choosing to live off of other people's hard work, while they shame poor people for receiving financial assistance that they need to live.
I struggle IMMENSELY with my mental health even till this day.
I’m currently reprogramming my brain to not operate on a default survival mode. I don’t have to hustle. I don’t have to grind. I am training my brain to relax for the first time in over 20 years. It’s a process.
My struggles with mental health issues is what pushed me to get a Ph.D in Neuroscience. There’s so many factors of our everyday 3D reality that play apart in the trauma we sort of self inflict onto our brain. Climate change, inflation, even the pandemic for example. Long term stress inflicts trauma onto the brain.
I’ve been hesitant about having a urTOOspoiled IG account but I love the simple infographics that allow me to immediately take in the information and apply it without being overwhelmed with information.
I would love to do the same thing since most of my advice is based on data, stats and resources I’ve read in books or on the internet.
Idk though. In the meantime, back to my hidey hole.
Happy Healing! Hope this helped someone who needed it! 🧿🕯💕🙏🏾
They’ve found the cause of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome. Babies who die of SIDS have a significantly lower level of an enzyme, the purpose of which is to rouse the baby from sleep if necessary (such as the baby stops breathing). This is extremely huge science and medicine news. There is a biological reason. It’s not random.
Last night’s episode of The Simpsons, “Carl Carlson Rides Again”, exemplifies why they’ve been on for 34 years… an entire episode dedicated to the backstory of a black character we’ve known for more than 3 decades, but knew relatively little about, now voiced by a black actor, Alex Desert… the episode also featured Henry Louis Gates, Jr. as himself, hosting ‘Finding Your Roots’… they even used Charlie Pride’s “I’m Just Me” during the closed credits My only gripe is we still did not find out what happened to his parents.
Brothas be so focused on made up surface level masculinity. They always think someone trying to emasculate us . There is nothing someone can do to take it away . It was given at birth and you own it . Fabric and color , what you are into does not dictate your masculinity or manhood . We put our selves in boxes and then complain .
Black men we die from higher suicide than anyone because we aren’t happy . We take on these false hoods about ourselves and we feel trapped and miserable. We allow others to place value over ourselves and we shame anyone that steps outside of what we’ve been taught
