Dude my gym already jacked up membership fees by like 15% and now they've announced a rebrand with the word "Ampersand" in their new name as in literally like a parody of a gentrified $20 burger w/o a side hanging light bulb gastropub. And I'm so accustomed to the space that it would probably be hard for me to get used to a new place but dawg I can actually feel my wallet burning in my pocket whyyyyy 😭

From Sunday's walk in and around Forbes creek. I didn't imagine the day could get any better but I ended up seeing this log full of turtles on Lake Washington omg. Look at them all piled up!! I got to the water just at sunset and saw so many birds: ducks, geese, herons, tons that I don't even know the name of. A group of us at the end of the pier listened to the heron croak because it was such a strange sound.

I always like to go to this elementary school right off of the Cross Kirkland Connector trial because the fields are usually full of these tiny little flowers, so that it looks like there's a sea of pink and white on top of the grass. So nice. I could take photos of them for hours but I don't think I can capture how it really feels.

As I was walking along the gnarly footpath I stopped and thought how much this felt like a perfectly crafted jungle habitat you would find in a conservatory or exhibit or somewhere like that. The creek running and gurgling, birds chirping, huge and brilliantly green skunk cabbage everywhere, moist rich soil and roots, blue blue blue sky peeking through the huge maples and oaks stretching over you. I just love this spot so much.

I've always wanted to eat the leaves... in fact I happened upon an old man and two girls who were picking leaves and calling it cabbage, haha. I wonder if the leaves are actually edible...

From Sunday's walk in and around Forbes creek. By the time I got to the Cross Kirkland Connector trial (bottom) it was warm enough that I began to sweat. Plenty of blooming trees still had their blossoms so at times the air was heavy with their perfume. Together the warmth and scents made for a pleasantly intoxicating afternoon.

It was so nice to get outside yesterday. I don't think I've been able to go for a walk that long since... like September. Geeeeez. I just have so little free time. Or I THINK and tell myself I don't have any free time because of all the work I have to do for classes. If I just managed my time better I wouldn't feel so stressed. I tell myself I need to act differently, but then nothing really changes. Maybe I should use drugs to solve my problems. By which I mean prescription medication. I bet I'm just fucked up enough to have some schmuck give me legal speed. Thank you drugs ❤

Speaking of drugs I took the last of them for a while and sat on some grass and stared at the moon. Do you ever really stare at the moon during the day?? Like can you also see how it's a globe hanging in space reflecting light off of the sun, and we're on a globe just like it suspended in space, and the blue of the sky is just a filter and the moon really is another world and its motion is described by physics and... I'm a late bloomer to pseudo intellectual thinking while high just let me have this okay 😑 maybe if I could have that same curiosity about the physical world while not high then I would have more motivation to get started on studying for the ACS standardized test that is rapidly approaching and that I will treat as a final judgement on my self-worth. See this is why I need ADHD meds or whatever they are.
