i don’t want to be insane but istg jesus was meant to be dead for three days. 3 days = 72 hours and he gets ganked on a friday at an unknown time but presumably when the sun was up because electrical lighting didn’t exist yet so doing anything at night that required eyeballs was impractical. this means anywhere from 7am to 6pm (approximately because idk the longitude/latitude).

as such, it would be:

die friday 7am-6pm + 24h

= saturday 7am-6pm + 24h

= sunday 7am-6pm + 24h

= monday 7am-6pm

boom 72hour slowcook achieved

hence there is good friday and easter monday.

today, everyone at work insisted that he resurrected on sunday and that easter monday only exists so we could have an extra public holiday. this makes sense but also does not and i’m starting to feel like i’m failing maths.

you know there’s a problem with the world when you see something on the news and be like: wow, if only someone would solve this problem!! and then suddenly you flashback to a specific email thread in your outlook inbox and realise: shit, it’s you. you are that person. this is a problem that could be solved! but only by you but you have procrastinated it for 5+ months now due to competing priorities and how annoying the stakeholders involved are and you are going to have a hell of a monday tomorrow as you scramble and pretend everything is under control before your boss figures out this is within your industry sectors 💀💀💀💀

if you have the opportunity, i strongly recommend you go see neil gaiman vibe with fourplay live onstage. idk how to explain it in clear terms (my one friend who did know said: neil reads poetry and stories to music and sometimes sings which does not actually explain it) but if you go in with no expectations, it will somehow still perfectly meet expectations!

just imagine someone, anyone, who spends a disproportionate amount of time on tumblr (proportionate = 0 to 0.25 hours per month so anything more than that) is given leave — or, not only leave but is in fact paid a lot of money from ticket and merch sales — to take their mutuals onstage with them to perform to a hostage audience for up to three (3) hours. they clearly have absolute creative freedom and what they want to do is show off things they wrote/made/composed/etc over their lifetime. no shame allowed and anything goes but they gotta fill that time and also do 1+ encore(s). and they did.
