I am not playing MUT and I'm having fun with the franchise mode, but I skipped last year so idk if it is the exact same or not. Even if gameplay is equally as bad as Fifa 20 I'll still get my ￡60's worth based on how much I really like the first cycle. It is a pity because if drama was better then I'd play a lot more games and wouldn't get rid of interest after TOTY. From the old school fifa's I would play 1-2K matches a year. Fifa 20 I just played 400 but I'm okay with it because I have found enjoyment with different aspects of the game.

The main reason the madden community is up in arms over this years model is a substantial portion of the player base only plays Franchise Mode and the Madden developers have done little to nothing to produce changes within the past couple of years. They were fed up prior to the game even fell. It's little to do with gameplay and much more related to the lack of updates. The FIFA community clamored for changes to FUT and over the past few years EA has made adjustments. Gameplay wise it's still a shitshow however, the upgrades to content have been created. The FUT reddit community is a lot bigger in comparison to the size of the MUT community. FIFA is catering to the majority which has desired to see FUT developments while Madden keeps investing in MUT when their community is more interested in Franchise.

It's more like, hey, just how can we make scorch trendy? Just how do we make the magician really cool? Can we create these interactions?
