Hopping on this to also include:
Scott, because of his dad, the Argent adults, and Derek in the beginning (unpopular opinion here, but I fully believe Derek’s “teaching” method was bullshit)
Derek, because of Kate and missing his family
Honestly, who in this show doesn’t have trauma at this point?
Okay I'm gonna be honest here
A lot of teen wolf characters probably hate touch
Like... Please let someone hear me out on this
Liam, a no no cause of trauma,
Theo, bad parents and doesn't trust touch,
Lydia, scared you want something sexual,
Allison, bad grandfather and missing her mom too much,
Stiles, reminds him of his mom,
Ethan, he just doesn't like it for some reason... probably his past relationships,
Isaac, his dad
LIKE... okay i might be insane as someone who isnt the most touchy person irl aside from hand holding. ( this excludes a few people )

I need someone to write fanfic for A Far Wilder Magic by Allison Saft. Not enough people know about this book and I need someone other than me, myself, and I to talk about it with.

Pride Month Reminder
You do not owe anyone your sexual orientation or gender identity. People are not entitled to information regarding either. If you say you're part of the lgbtqia+ community, you do not have to go into more detail just because someone asks if you aren't comfortable doing so. There is no such thing as being lgbtqia+ "enough". You are vaild and seen on this account.

Auctober 2022
Day 31: Autistic Pride
Although I spent many years being ashamed of the word autistic due to only seeing where I didn’t fit in, I am now at a point where I talk about what it means to be an autistic adult regularly. I strive to educate those who don’t understand autism, and have lists of resources on different topics surrounding the autistic community. I’m an active advocate for people like me, and I’m proud to be an autistic woman.

Day 30: Routines
Can’t believe that tomorrow is the last day of Auctober! Thanks, @autiebiographical so much for doing this!
Routines are definitely something I love, sometimes a little too much. I can get so caught up in my routine that I forget to let go and enjoy stuff sometimes, which I’m trying to work on. Luckily I have very spontaneous friends, so letting go of my routine is a lot easier when I with them.
Routines are comforting to me. Many say that monotony and predictability are boring, but to me, routines are a constant I can rely on, and I work best when I have one. I do try to be flexible, since it’s good to get out of my comfort zone, but with the exception of my aforementioned friends, I have to plan for spontaneity so I can adjust my routine accordingly.

Day 29: Gold
If gold is the new color for autistic people and I’m the only autistic person in my family, does that make me the golden child? Pun aside, Fuck Autism $peaks and go for gold, my autistic peeps!

Day 28: Hereditary
I’m the only autistic person in my immediate family, so it’s safe to say that the closest I’ve got to hereditary, is the movie.

Days 27: Textures
I’m a sensory-seeking autistic, so textures are my jam (pun intended)! When it comes to touch, I’m definitely more likely to love everything when it comes to hands touching different clothes or materials, whereas orally, I’m a bit pickier. When it comes to bad food textures, it feels like the textures just stays there, even if I immediately had a better textured food to replace it.

Day 26: Plushies
I love plushies so much! They’re a huge comfort item for and even now, I still sleep with three of my stuffed friends at night. I also have a small collection of plushies that you don’t typically find. For instance, I have a stuffed bull. And then of course, I have my chaotic octopus and my 22 inch Kuchi Kopi plushie!
When you’re autistic, there’s no such thing as too many comfort items!

Day 25: Hyperlexia
So when it came to reading, I actually learned pretty late, and didn’t get into reading until I was around 10. Which is shocking since I’m such a big reader now. But when I did get into it, I became a huge reader, and in Elementary school was reading at a near high school level. I plowed through Jane Austen books in early to mid middle grade ages, and had a copy of Bulfinch’s Mythology that was begun when I was around 12. I read The Federalist Papers in middle school for fun, and, well, you get the picture. It was fun being able to shock adults with my reading level, but it sure did make for a difficult time relating to what my friends read.

Day 24: Parallel Play
I didn’t even realize this was a thing until just now, because I do it so often that I figured it was just normal. Everyone in my immediate family has ADHD (although I’m the only autistic one), and so we often are each doing our things, but feel like we’re spending quality time together since we’re all in the same room while doing it. It’s peaceful and nice to spend time with people, even if you’re all doing something different!

Day 23: Disabled
I am disabled in many ways. My autism not gives me physical aspects of disability, for example, I have dyspraxia, which is very common in autistic people, but also on the more mental side of things as well. As mentioned in a previous Auctober entry, bright lights and loud noises are my krpytonite, and I have meltdowns that definitely fit the definition of the word disabled. I’m also socially disabled, in the sense that I have a difficult time understanding things the way NTs do, and this makes connecting with people hard.
I’m proud to be disabled, though, because disabled isn’t a dirty word. It doesn’t need to be dressed up and called ‘differently-abled’ in order to be more palatable to my able-bodied peers. To use the word disabled is to understand that the word ‘can’t’ isn’t always a bad thing.

Day 22: Self-Advocacy
I consider myself somewhat of a autism advocate, so I always try to advocate for myself when it comes to getting accommodations or being understood. I try to be very open about being autistic, especially at places like doctor’s offices and hair salons, because my sensory issues can pose some difficulties in those situations. I’ve had to advocate for myself often, because most people either don’t understand how my autism affects me, or they don’t believe that I’m autistic (I actually had a doctor ask me if I had outgrown my autism since I wasn’t flapping my hands).

Day 21: Comfort Media
My three biggest forms of comfort media are music, books, and tv/movies!
Music: as a form of comfort I like to listen to stuff that I first listened to when I got Spotify, so a lot of Meghan Trainor, or stuff I remember listening to on road trips as a kid, which is mainly Green Day, Presidents of the United States of America, and The Cranberries.
Books: My favorite books to read for comfort are usually books that I’ve read multiple times before. So for me, it would be The Titan’s Curse (my favorite PJO book), Tales from the Shadowhunter’s Academy, and too many others to name, honestly.
Tv/Movies: My favorite comfort show is definitely Gilmore Girls and my comfort movies are, again, usually stuff that either feels nostalgic, like old DVDs I watched when I was little, or movies that give me good memories, like ones I’ve seen in theater or watched with my dad when we were moving.
