“A scary movie, baby? The sun’s already down, you sure?” She runs her thumb over your cheek as you pout, nodding.

“I’ll be okay! Pretty please?” She smiles a little and nods, tapping your nose lightly.

“Go put it on, Mama will grab a blanket. Do you want a bottle, sippy or a big kid cup?” She watches you as you look at them and grabs the one you point at.

“Mama, can I bring a stuffie?” You ask quietly, eyes wide. She kisses your forehead and nods, a knowing smile tugging at her lips.

Part way through, she rubs your back as a scary part makes you jump and squeezes you into a hug. “How about we watch a cartoon, baby? I think that’s enough scary for the night.”

Sniffling, you nod and climb into her lap. She hugs you close, pressing kisses all over your face and smiles at the sound of giggles. “Love Mama.”

She hugs you and rests her head on yours, turning on your favorite show. “I love you, sweetheart.”

“Do you want to play with Mama, sweetheart?” She offers when she sees you standing there, holding out another controller. Shaking your head, you sit next to her, leaning your head on her shoulder. Smiling, she kisses your head and continues playing.

“Mama?” You tug at her shirt and she pauses the game to pay attention to you, running her fingers through your hair. “Cuddles?”

“Of course!” She pulls you into her lap, rubbing your back. Wrapping your arms around her, you rest your head on her shoulder. She leans her head on yours and wraps her arms around you.

“Can play okay still?” You ask and she laughs a little.

“Yes pumpkin, Mama can still play, don’t worry.” She kisses your head and plays with one hand, the other rubbing your back. Sitting in content silence for a while, you listen to the game and her heartbeat. As you start to drift off, she hugs you close. “I love you, baby.”

“Mama?” You call from the office doorway, hands behind your back as the toe of your shoe digs into the floor.

“Hi, baby.” She smiles, opening her arms to you. Grinning, you run to her and climb into her lap, enveloped in a warm hug. Whining, you wrap your arms around her tightly. “Aw did my puppy miss me?”

Nodding, you snuggle in closer, holding onto her soft sweater. “Missed Mama.”

She places soft kisses to your head and rocks you gently. “Mama missed you too. But I’m here now, so let’s get some nummy food and we’ll play games, hm?”

She runs her fingers through your hair, gently rubbing her thumb across your cheek as you nod. “Can have cookies?”

hi!!! im a caregiver and im currently talking to a puppy / little boy who’s previous mommy was abusive and im trying to find resources for him to learn more about healthy / safe relationships where he can be little without being sexualized etc. i see a lot of stuff for girls but could you point me in the direction of some stuff for little boys too??

First, I’m so so happy to hear that you’re helping and supporting him through coming to terms with a healthy relationship and regression, that’s absolutely amazing. Second, unfortunately the community is still building on that and coming out with things specifically for boys, so there isn’t a whole lot out there as of yet, from what I’ve seen. I don’t have a whole lot of resources on here either as I’m more active on Instagram. I would check on there for informational posts and helpful accounts, it seems to spread around there more!

If anyone has resources, PLEASE tag it to help them out 💕
