Clone Wars Headcannons
All over the place but yeah enjoy
Ahsoka will let her men test out pick up lines before shore leave and give them tips on how to better pick up girls
Ahsoka picked up her eye rolling habit from Wolffe
Fives and Echo refer to Rex as “oh captain my captain” (Rex is very annoyed)
Clone troopers sleep better when they cuddle up with someone
Anakin has given Ahsoka and many of his men heart attacks when he randomly removes his prosthetic hand
There are painted line of the Resolutes floor near the medical bays to mark how far troopers have made it when they attempt to escape the medics
This usually ends with the medics full body tackling their vod and occasionally their Jedi
Hardcase has the furthest mark with Fives very near behind him
Much to Wolffe’s dismay young animals love to imprint of him during campaigns, he says he hates it but Sinker once saw Wolffe carrying around a baby loth cat wrapped in one of his blankets
Rex is a natural blonde due to a mutation and I will die on this hill
Fox and Wolffe have the highest spice tolerance of their batch and their brothers are very concerned for them
Based on the scene in the Umbara arc where Tup is hanging onto the gunship handle with 2 hands, he is a very nervous flier
Ahsoka noticed that Tup was a nervous flier and now tries to get on the same ships as him to help keep him calm
The 501st has different tallies up throughout the barracks for random things like ‘how many times the general loses his lightsaber’, ‘best quotes for the week’, etc
Clone troopers speak mando’a, kaminoan, and basic fluently
Rex always wins arm wrestling contests, even against Anakin
Ahsoka learned how to play sabacc from the Wolf Pack and has been banned from playing in most 501st circles because she always wins
The CCs have the ability to sleep with their eyes open and Wolffe and Fox actively chose to do so to creep everyone else out
Cody has broken his wrists and his shins from fist fighting droids but he continues to do it
Many troopers in the 501st have also attempted to fist fight droids but quickly stopped when the medics refused to treat them
Anakin has also attempted to fist fight droids and damaged his cybernetic hand enough that he had to get a new one
Ahsoka purrs when she sleeps close to other people
Hardcase almost cried when he first heard Ahsoka purr because he thought it was cutest damn thing
Capture the flag is the 501st’s favorite down time activity
Cody has hidden drugs in Obi-Wan’s tea to make him sleep which Obi-Wan was rather offended by but continued to accept all tea given to him by his commander
Ahsoka set up a projector in the rec room and on hyper space trips she plays holomovies so her men can be ‘cultured’
Ahsoka is good friends with Padme and Riyo Chuchi and regularly gets together with them for girls nights
Rex has gotten a tattoo while drunk but Cody is the only one that knows about it
Ahsoka found out when her men’s birthday or decanting days are and makes sure to wish them a happy birthday
Ponds, Bly, and Fox were very confused when they received a transmission from Rex, Cody, and Wolffe’s vod’ika wishing them a happy birthday

If instead of "keeping peace & justice in the Republic", the Jedi's task was "carrying a couch"...
About 1,000 years prior to The Phantom Menace, the Jedi see the Senate trying to get the couch off the ground and go:
Jedi: "Uh, need some help?"
Senate: "Oh God, yes please...!"
Jedi: "Cool, what's the plan?"
Senate: "You carry the back end, we carry the front and lead the way. It'll go smoothly from here."
And for a solid millennium, this arrangement works and the couch moves forward without ever being dropped.
But by the time of the Prequels, the Senate has stopped carrying their end. Instead, they're sitting on the armrest, on their phone, online gambling or taking selfies for their InstaStories, they're having fun, talking with their buddies. They're being irresponsible and absolutely self-serving.
So the Jedi are in a situation where they have to PUSH the couch alone because if they don't, that's it, the couch is dropped.
And it's SUPER difficult, but hey, at least the couch is moving, right? Dunno for how much longer they can keep this up, though.
As this goes on, a Sith Lord sees this entire ordeal and decides to JUMP on the couch, speeding up the clock on the inevitable drop.
Then the Clone War happens, which is the equivalent of the Jedi needing to keep trying to push the couch using only ONE hand, while they use their other limbs to fight off the Separatists and get that Sith Lord off the couch.
Then Order 66 happens, the Jedi are dead and the couch is dropped.
Mission failed, "long live the Empire".
Now, this is just an analogy simplifying the events.
If we go by what George Lucas said on the Jedi's role in the Republic, there's quite a few differences between "carrying a couch" and the Jedi's ordeal.
For instance, it's not just the Jedi carrying the other end of the couch, there's also people like Bail and Padmé (otherwise the couch would've stood still a while ago).
Also, when you're helping someone carry a couch, you can just walk away if the other guy acts like a jerk.
But in the case on the Jedi, they can't just walk away because they pledged themselves to the Republic. They made a vow and a system has been built around it, they can't just up and leave or say "no, fuck you Senate, we out". Because the principles of the Republic are worth upholding and the system works when the Senate isn't filled with douchebags, as shown by the fact that there was peace and prosperity up until the Prequels.
Finally, in the analogy, moving the couch only benefits the other guy, right?
But in this case, the Jedi's role in the Republic actually helps everyone, which is why the Jedi joined in the first place. If they leave, they'd be abandoning the people of the Republic.
Point is, the Jedi are not meant to be seen as "the elite" or "the establishment" by the audience. They're the underdogs.
They're pretty much the only ones still trying to do their jobs right and everyone around them has stopped giving a crap.
So saying "the Jedi failed" is redundant. Who wouldn't fail?
Which is why George Lucas never blames them, in his commentary about the Prequels. When he talks about what the Prequels are about, he never says it's about the Jedi's failure, he always blames:
the Senate for failing their duty to the Republic and giving it over to Palpatine with thunderous applause,
and Anakin, for failing to overcome his own personal flaws and giving in to his greed.
Sure, the Jedi are not perfect, but nobody ever said they were. Because while their failure is a plot element, it's not meant to be a focal point.

Echo and Fives
We kind of assume Echo was the follower and Fives was the troublemaker, but look who is getting into fisticuffs with Hevy
Look who talks trash during Commander Colt’s speech
Look who takes charge when they try to leave Domino Squad
Look who silently checks on baby bro Fives to make sure he’s hanging in there
Look who freaks when Fives takes a shot to the shoulder (and Cody has to tell him to keep fighting)
Look who is gung-ho to get flash-frozen and team up with some battle droids
Look who recklessly runs from cover, drawing enemy fire when Ninety-nine is shot
Look who isn’t afraid to show intense emotions such as grief and mourning
Look who rushes for the shuttle and breaks all our hearts and who stays cautiously behind
Then there’s this line from “Rookies” which was deleted from some versions of the episode due to complaints (way to be a bad influence on the kids, Echo)
And one of my favorite moments, Echo telling bad puns to Fives in the middle of their most important test as cadets (he looks so excited about it too)
In fact, when Echo was around, Fives would almost fade into the background, always behind while his brother took point. I have little doubt Echo was the leader, the trailblazer, and he was a huge influence on Fives, who tried his best to follow in his footsteps after he was gone.

This is the cutes thing I've ever seen!!!!
God my heart has just been broken😭
Any other vod might have just given the Commander her space; but Fives isn't one to walk by someone who is upset when he may be able to help, especially new honorary vod'ika.
This idea has been in my drafts since August (which I am sure you can tell by the wild style changes everywhere) and I have finally finished it. It's such a silly little idea but I wanted to explore the pressures Ahsoka would've faced a bit more, and I just couldn't help but embody a core memory of mine. Young, at camp with around 80 other kids, no internet access for the week, and one leader in the lunch hall who knows the cup song. By the end of the week we were practically a percussion band all learning and doing the cup song together, and I'll never forget the unity of that.
And who is to say Fives wouldn't invent something similar and immediately begin teaching it to anyone willing? No one; because I know which hills I will happily let you kill me on, and this is one of them. And I hope everyone can find a bit of similar joy in this.
I need to practice drawing Ahsoka more too, though I hope I at least did well at drawing/showing how young she really is here; it is important to me.

This is everything, I want this and I also hope this never happens
I don’t think they should kill off Cody in TBB S2 and I don’t believe they will despite what people are saying on tiktok. I think that would be a waste of the potential his character has and we have so much more to see from him but that might just be the denial talking. I just think it would be a mistake. It doesn’t feel narratively satisfying to me.
However…
If they kill him, I want it to be the single most devastating death in the entire franchise. I want it to happen in the most upsetting way possible and I want everyone who witnesses it to be completely traumatised and carry it with them forever. I hope he meets Omega and they become best friends instantly and then he DIES and she never forgets it. I want TBB to recognise him as one of the only people to ever completely accept them for who they are and then they lose him. I want Rex to see E V E R Y T H I N G. I want it to be so horrendous Crosshair switches sides permanently. If people make Top 10 Saddest Star Wars Deaths lists, I want it to at least make the top 5. I want viewers questioning whether it was okay for that to happen in a kids show or not.
Is that messed up? 1000%. But Cody deserves to have impact on the larger story. I don’t personally think they’ve utilised his character that well so far (he is still Obi Wan’s secret friend on Tatooine and no one can change my mind) and I really don’t want him to show up again in TBB after years of being missing just to die but if he does, I want it to matter and I mean really matter.

This is actually one of the saddest things I've ever read omg this breakers my heart
Anakin requests hard copies of his casualty reports after every campaign. Rex hand-delivers them and watches the General disappear into his quarters - it will take him 20-30 minutes before he’s ready to transmit anything to the council or senate. For two years, Rex doesn’t think much of the little routine.
Then the Resolute is ambushed during Skywalker’s prep time. The General bursts out of his quarters and asks Rex to finish up the transmission while he joins the dogfight outside.
On his desk, the casualty report. Beside each CT number on the list, in bunched, angular handwriting, is each clone’s name. This is the sheet going straight to the senate - perhaps the only legal document on which their actual names would ever be found. Skywalker immortalizing them in the only way he can.
Rex completes the list in his own sharp scrawl. It sends successfully, and he and the General never discuss it. But when he can, Rex hangs in the hall outside Skywalker’s quarters after delivering the reports, guarding the sacred space. It’s never lost on him - this may be the closest thing to a funeral the fallen 501st will get.
