You can't tell me Haru and Senju never made an apology video for all of Takeomi's stupid 'entrepreneur' ideas using their image. They probably made more apology videos that rival even the fast & the furious series.
Everytime Takeomi's name trends, it's cause Ran uploaded a new vid off all the dirt with Omi's new 'business.'
Should paid his tab at his club. Oh well, at least Ran got his youtube $$$.

It may seem like I don’t like Takemichi by the way I write about him but its further from the truth. I just really hate that everyone is banking on him to save Mikey. That’s a big responsibility to put on him which isn’t fair at all.
I think the only reason Shin even took interest in Izana is because of Emma. Remember that she told Shin & Mikey stories about him so while Mikey dismissed them Shin kept an eye out.
I have so many gripes right now. I am so UPSET. I love Takemichi and Mikey to absolute bits.
Mikey absolutely deserves to be saved, he always deserved to be saved. But not like this. He deserves to be surrounded by the people who love him, his friends. All of them should have a hand in saving him, because they love him.
Takemichi has been one of the best main characters I have ever seen in a shonen. I saw him and immediately latched onto him, because I saw so much of myself in him, and so much of what I aspire to become. I don't want either of them to die. I never want that.
I was glad that we were getting this final arc, because we needed to save Mikey. We couldn't have an ending without Mikey. Everything with the Three Deities seemed like it was setting the stage for something even bigger. But by the end of it, there were holes that weren't getting filled. But that's fine, we still had plenty of manga left to fill them.
Takeomi continues to be an enigma who haunts us. Why was he the Rainbringer and what significance did he have, what about his relationship with his siblings.
What about South. Where did his dark impulses stem from, and why did he need to die.
Senju was very quickly reduced to being a token girl character.
Why did Draken die.
I still liked this arc. It was still grounded in reality and introduced many interesting characters. Everything that came after was still a good set-up. Of course we need to fight Mikey, that's how everything works in their world, they sort things by fighting it out.
Honestly, it was slipping downhill the longer the fight lasted. I was waiting for Mitsuya to fight Mikey, and for it to have the same emotional impact that Pah's fight did. For them, as the remaining founding members, to chip away at the strong front that Mikey had put on by reminding him that they were his friends and that they cared for him. Pah's speech was a punch in the gut for me, there's no way Mikey could have been so unaffected. And yet, it doesn't seem like it did very much if anything. The train sequence was good to have, there have always been allusions to trains, and it paralleled so well with how the series started. But then it didn't go anywhere and was forgotten about. And that seems to be how a lot of things are going right now.
The kicker was the Shinichiro reveal. I always felt like there was something off about him, I never had any feelings towards him except a bit of suspicion. He kept coming up, he had to play a bigger role in everything. And then he did, just not a role I would have imagined. And then we learned about the first timeline. It's tragic, of course it's tragic. It hurt my heart to learn of Mikey's initial fate. But the time leaping and the curse don't seem to fit in with the story very well. Yes, we see it take effect with Kazutora when he killed Shinichiro, tying that together. But there are still so many questions.
How does Wakasa know about about the time leaping and everything about what Shinichiro did.
Why does Sanzu seem so nonchalant about receiving those scars from Mikey, when that was before he learned about time leaping or alternate timelines. Why was he so keen to continue to be Mikey's friend. We still haven't seen this incident from Sanzu's POV and I highly doubt we will at this point.
One of the best things about Tokyo Revengers is how real the stories were. All of the characters have so much heart and personality. You can feel their pain. The decisions they make make sense. The way they act makes sense. The reason everything was as impactful as it was was because of how grounded it was. These were stories that could happen, the time leaping was always secondary. We thought Mikey was suffering from a mental illness, which would be realistic and could be fit into the story easily. Now he has a curse afflicted upon him which makes him have dark impulses. It can work, but it's not as powerful, what message can we take from this.
When I read the first arc for the first time I thought Takemichi was so relatable. He is just like me. And he fought and persevered and grew through his trauma. He was inspiring and I love him. I still love him dearly. All of the decisions he makes still make sense for his character, I am grateful for that. But everything else that is happening does not make sense. I need Mikey to be saved, but he should be saved by everyone working together, not just Takemichi. Isn't that the message that the manga has been trying to send this whole time, that we need other people and we need to learn to rely on them because we can't get through it all on our own.
I'm disappointed. It seems like we may get a generic shonen ending and Tokyo Revengers deserved so much better than that. I don't know if this was Wakui's decision or if he had to change things for the editors. I had so much faith in Wakui making an amazing manga that sent amazing messages and had amazing characters. And while most of it has been wonderful, I don't know if I can stand the heartbreak of a bad or unfulfilling ending. I can't.

This is no sacrifice. Takemichi miscalculated and got stabbed. He is not "dying for a friend" he got cocky bc he "could see the future" and is now dying *fingers crossed*
It's bullshit how all of a sudden Mikey's being "cured" from the curse bc Takemichi is dying. There have been way more significant deaths from Mikey's loved ones, no less, but nooooo some dude he knew for a little over half a year (at most) dying is enough for his Dark Impulses to dissipate. Horse shit.
Power of friendship but only from the MC is the worst. It is so heavily overused in absurd ways as a Hail Mary to end all. The power of friendship should be everyone that Mikey loved and cared for not just some random dude they picked up off the street. Their deaths should matter more than some new guy who accidentally got himself stabbed.
Others have sacrificed themselves to save Mikey—BAJI LITERALLY KILLED HIMSELF TO SAVE MIKEY AND KAZUTORA, BUT THAT'S NOT ENOUGH?! HIS LITERAL BEST FRIEND—

At this point, more than anything, I'm just really really pissed off at the whole narrative of-
'Takemichi is the only one who can save Mikey'
'Takemichi is the only one who cares about Mikey'
'Takemichi is the only one who never gives up on him'.
When literally all of Toman has been dedicating their lives to making this fucker happy and he doesn't seem to acknowledge that at all. Cause Michi is all that matters and the only one who'll stick by him no matter what and the only one who wants to save him.
Most of this is more the Fandoms rhetoric (especially Takemichi mega stans) and it makes me wanna rip my skin off.
It's always about Takemichi. What he has gone through and what he has done trying to save Mikey. What about the friends Mikey's had since childhood that have never left him but seem to matter so little to him?
Toman deserves better.

We are 3 chapters away from Tokyo Revengers ending... but it won’t put me out of my misery any time soon with how everything is turning out to be.

Mikey, my dude, you have been giving in to these impulses from the very start. The only reason you can go wild as you want is because you no longer have no worry about your dumb brother’s time-traveling ability being a secret.
Boy..... if you don’t put that down right now..... That kanata is taller that you are... What, did you study the blade with Sanzu too???? Lol if you look at Mikey’s butt, you can almost see a face.
Listen carefully Haruchiyo. You can use this to your advantage. When Kakucho’s body is found and they look for a suspect, you can pin this all on Mikey. You can avenge yourself this way instead of being sent to juvie... again, but like in this timeline. Mikey gets put away in that top-security correctional facility and hopefully learns about his impulse control from zen-master, Hanemiya Kazutora.
Ladies and gentlemen, I introduce you to Pah-chin. The only one with any sort of brain cells asking the right questions. What is the point of all these fights? No one is benefiting anything from them.
OMG! This gremlin is fast as fuck at striking. Takemichi, your best bet is running away! Or using that long rope thing to capture the katana or Mikey’s hands.... something! See I told you the katana is taller than Mikey on the 3rd image.
It’s strange as fuck seeing Sanzu sharing his thoughts about Mikey to Takemichi of all people. He should have said this to Baji, Emma, or Draken. He grew up alongside Baji and Emma, so I don’t know why he didn’t just consulted with either of them. Baji would have believed Haru and Wakui could have these two childhood friends repairing this fucking broken relationship while making sure that Mikey didn’t fall of the deep end. It would have been fucking amazing. Emma and Draken could have been working together to help MIkey too. Emma could have kept an eye out on Mikey at home and relay any strangeness to Draken who would do the same when they are out. Not only would this bring these two together but they can slowly but surely get to know each other. I hate that there are many ways that Wakui could have written the bonds of Mikey’s close friends working together in order to help him.
I was right. How did those visions worked out for ya? It’s frustrating as fuck seeing Takemichy get mortally wounded when it concerns Mikey. Bruh, at this point, can you even call it “hero-like”? What’s Hina gonna think when she finds out you died? The hell you mean, “I’ll carry your dark impulses on my back.” Do you not see how destructive as fuck they are? Those with impulses killed someone.
uhhhh.....are you sure you can do that? He just kicked your ass and stabbed you. Friend for life? Excuse you! Sanzu would like to have a word with you about that.
Shinichiro is a massive fucking idiot for giving away that time-traveling power. Granted, he wouldn’t know how Takemichi would use it but it still a fucking bad idea giving suck a power to someone with a hero complex. Takemichi is counting on redoing events but here’s something that people with power forget. There are limits, no matter how powerful those abilities may be.
It’s just... I don’t know how to explain it. Takemichi got issues from his first life that he’s kinda projecting to others in this one. He thinks that he can erase bad things that happen to those from Toman just because he can time-travel but that’s not the answer. Takemichi, in a way, filters out the bad behavior/qualities from what he expects from them. Fuck, I need to word this better.
I don’t think no one brought up the Mizo Middle Five in the back. That’s just heartbreaking.
How did Mikey’s heart return? His brother killed a homeless man to give him a second chance. Said brother gave that power to a random kid who would later use that to save his loved one. But wait... it turns out the younger brother of the previous holder is responsible for his girlfriends death and is cursed because of his brothers actions. Shin, Mikey, and Kazutora all showed signs of having impulses. Why didn’t hina then or for that matter Takemichy inherit them too? Is it due to the non-violent manner in which he inherited the power?
What is the origin of this time traveling ability?
There’s no way Takemichi is time-traveling to the past or future. Is Mikey going have the time-traveling power now? Is that how he’s going to give everyone a bittersweet ending? Erasing this time line?!?! Is Haruchiyo going to get the memories of this timeline if that happens?

One chapter down, four left to go in the series. Wakui will probably give us nothing...
So on his death day Shin was out there looking for the old man he killed in his timeline? Did this dude think that just because the dude was homeless he would stick to one place forever? Come on Shinichiro! It solves the mystery though on why he was at S.S. Motor late at night though and it wasn't fixing up Mikey’s bike like fanon claimed. It would have been better imo.
I forget some times that this version of Shinichiro is still the same one from the og time line. So what feels like forever to us is just a few minutes to him. How come Baji fail to realize that Shin owned this bike shop though? Mikey would have been bragging about it.
Even though I know its coming I still can’t get over this scene.
So Kazutora got dark impulses too by killing Shin? Wait, this solves nothing at fucking all. This is just keep piling up even more questions, Wakui!
Holy shit! I mean on one hand, Kazutora proved that he’s a prophet since he’s telling no lies. Out of context, this looks like a gang initiation.
So Shin had the ability for like less than a week and he died. That’s rough buddy. Did Wakasa sat Mikey down and told him all this during a private KMG meeting? I would pay to see the chapter.
Look at my girl Senju! SHE’S OKAY! Sue me, I have a soft spot for the younger Akashi siblings. Except you Takeomi you can choke. The tumblr who keeps track of the Haitaini’s appearance must be extremely happy finally looking at these two. Every single one of the Tenjiku looks surprised - Mochi, Shion, Ran, Rin - at this development. I bet Taiju choosing to see Takemichy fight Mikey he would see more blood and less talk. I agree completely.
Kazutora was the only one who lived with the dark impulses and still came out okay....somewhat in the Bonten timeline. Ain’t that a bitch. There IS a way to live with the dark impulses or tame them. I don’t know what to say about South since his character was pretty much spat on with everything Wakui is trying to cram down out throats.
I feel bad for Mikey in here. Instead of asking for help at the beginning, he thought he could handle it all by himself. It’s times like these that Mikey isn’t so invincible and he’s just a dumb, lost kid.
Uh did you forget that your ass got hospitalized last time you got a dose of dark impulses? Do you really think this is a good idea? I can’t help you dude if you want to live the comatose life.

You could see the future then and it still didn’t save you! I still think this is a horrible idea that will lead to your death, bruh. The cynical part of me is hoping you get your shit wrecked because all this power of friendship is overplayed in manga and I want to see evil win.
These kids are dumb ass hell and they are in high school during this time right. Well, those in Toman at least since those in Kantou are old as shit. They can’t go to a temp agency or something. Why they gotta rely on Mikey to build his criminal empire?
Tokyo Revengers could have ended sooner if Mikey did something like this. (Piper grieving Prue still gets to me til this day no matter how long ago it was.) All this time travel drama is annoying and confusing to me and probably the other spectators in the fight.

As much as I hate that Shinichiro just gave away his time leaping power away that easily (to baby Michi no less), after what he did to get it. I guess it’s better that way.
He could have used it for stupid reasons since apparently endeavor is something he dislikes. His rejection number would be in the 1000s if he used it to get a date. I’m kidding.
