HELPPP that last part seem so intentional lf a slip-up. I think Makoto would figured it out already of how Kamukura got those snacks (he wasn't so sure if Kamukura was being sarcasticly joking or other thing), he didn't date this dude and knowing some crazy stuff he would do for nothing (and even though a few other crazier stuff that guy did was intentionally not being revealed)! He probably like;
"you know you don't have to walk and breaking into the factory itself to get these right (pretty sure it's illegal)?? These are just one of the things we had during movie nights, we could've gone with popcorns, or anything available in the store blocks away, we have those too before!"
And Kamukura just, "bold of you to assume I walked to the factory."
"That's not the point??"
"So I've heard."
Although he's made peace with the fact that Makoto loved Hajime and loves him, and come to terms with the idea that there's some crossover between them, Izuru goes through a phase where he's determined to revisit places and things that were significant to Makoto and Hajime. He wants to go on dates at their favorite places, watch the movies they saw together, do activities they've done together. It's hard to articulate why he needs to do it. To share? To understand?
"If you don't like the food, we don't have to eat here," Makoto says. "There are a lot of nice places."
"No, this fine." Izuru eyes the piece of chicken between his chopsticks. "It's...educational."
"So, you're having a good time?"
"Yes."
"Well, that's good. But like I said, I don't want you to feel like we have to come here just because I used to come here with Hajime."
Izuru chews the food pensively. He swallows. And when he speaks again, it's to say, "Now that I've discovered I enjoy cooking, I think I would prefer to do that, instead. But I'm glad we came here. I needed to know."
One day, Makoto is chatting with him about all the stuff his classmates are up to, and it comes up that Celeste will be out of town for an elite poker tournament or somesuch.
"Will she be needing someone to catsit?" Izuru asks- the first time he's interrupted Makoto's endearingly thorough account.
"I think she's hiring someone for that. Hajime and I only babysat Grand Bois Chéri the one time."
Izuru nods. "I'm going to ask her to let us catsit."

AWHHHHDHDHH Makoto assuring Kamukura that he doesn't have to do the things Hajime does with him before is so sweet, the sudden need to feel the same thing (or better than?) as Hajime whenever they were together at certain places, or doing certain activities together. Its funny how Kamukura still wanted everything that Hajime ever felt like no, having his own thing wasn't enough, he wanted to have whatever Hajime had with Makoto too.
I just imagine whenever they were watching a movie/series, whatever position they're in but it's always Kamukura trapping Makoto in said position like a cat; his head on Makoto's chest, his lap, or the crown of his head, heck sometimes it can be him wrapping his hands around Makoto against him. While watching the screen unamused.
He isn't surprised at all that this boring, predictable, with tens of plot holes (Makoto explains that Hajime like to complain while filling the plot holes with his own logics and usually ends up making A LOT more nonsense than it already was (I find it a pretty funny hc)) was Hajime's favorite. Granted he's just as normal- if not, more normal, than Makoto.
Do you think he has this one moment where he thought perhaps if he was as normal as Hajime then he could reach the same level of intimacy as both? Then again it's not like Makoto would want that, for him to not be his own person, and technically, suppose Kamukura wasn't into it as much either- the whole being Hajime thing, judging from his show, it's not gonna be pleasant.
Although he's made peace with the fact that Makoto loved Hajime and loves him, and come to terms with the idea that there's some crossover between them, Izuru goes through a phase where he's determined to revisit places and things that were significant to Makoto and Hajime. HELPP I got reminded of how my girlfriend commented, quote on quote "this with mondo butter slaps" and Im like 😦 sweetie- /lh /lh
I like how I woke up, and everyone is obsessed over the "makoto in the meat package thing" cause *I've* been obsessed over that for a long time and is very grumpy to see the lack of fanarts of said makoto being packaged cause thats so him!!!!
I love to draw more makotos being drawn like, as a food product, in the most indirect anguish, and there's something about meat that radiates millions of different meaning and prespective. I have more ideas for him with it. Along with other things akfndjf

Would it be funny if Makoto, despite being a huge image of hope for humanity- literal symbol OF humanity- to have like... at least, a few haters (a "few" in the most famous and important people standards).
Like the whole "tragedy" itself isn't just about how the world was breaking eachother and causing wars and destruction driven by despair, it's also those minor conveniences to the people where they experience their own sets of betrayals from their loved ones or those whom they trusted the most in such a traumatic event in history.
And these sets of small, personal heartbreaking experiences, can you blame them that they have a moment of doubt to Makoto's true intention? Whose to say that he's any better than Junko?
People who praises and worship him, and people who doubts and critisized him. Yet none sees him as that normal guy that trips on his shoes when running across the neighborhood to get to school (perhaps there are a few that recognised him.. just maybe. Or those who does had died or went missing? Who knows).
Makoto being the public controversial is something. How will it affect him when they accused him (again, just like in those class trials) on the things he didn't even do ("a knife I never wanted, I'm just holding it" kinda quote). Would it be funny if no matter where he go he'd always going to be accused of something, or painted in a bad light by a few, merely because he was being too nice that it seems suspicious to them?
Would it be funny that no matter what he can't seem to reach some people's expectations at all, but he never gave up or letting it get to him because he has people who also supports him and have his back no matter what but that just makes him wanted to try harder to meet at least THEIR expectations of him? I think it'd be funny /lh.

HELPWLSL Hajime developing a new set of skill that no other students has just by being with his unpredictable boyfriends is so real. Training 24/7 everyday and now he's fleshed out as the only person that is paranoid enough to take care and handle those two lucksters.
It's funny how when it says "the guy who always carried bandaids-" makes me think that the bandaids are mostly reserved for Makoto cause he experiences multiple smallest of bad lucks that got him hurt a lot more times than Nagito does.
And the "-a tiny fire extinguisher in your bag?" That is mostly reserved for Nagito cause from his observation and many unfortunate experiences, Nagito's luck often affects his surroundings more times than Makoto's are. And they're always... a catastrophe.
AND THE "You have no idea" gives off a "I'm gonna look crazy if I were to tell" and it makes me giggle. None of the reserve course is gonna believe him (until they see it firsthand I suppose. Like Nagito suddenly crashes from the class's ceiling and land on one of them or something idk /lh)
Hajime dating Makoto and Nagito becomes "the guy who always has band-aids just in case". It honestly takes a lot of the edge off his self-consciousness for not having a talent, because he feels suuuuper competent when these guys get into situations and he's ready for them.
His reserve course friends are like, "Why is there a tiny fire extinguisher in your bag?" and Hajime just gives them a look as if to say, "You have no idea."

what kills me is how makoto is just. so nice. like never once does he consider killing anyone. he feels guilt and remorse for each of his dead classmates and internalizes them. he tries to save everyone, even junko. he goes against everything to give the ultimate despairs a second chance. you poor guy this is the worst kind of life to lead in this kind of world and yet you're doing it with your head held high. and now you don't even have the choice to stop
