Marcus isnt evil but he is not not good either . Hes an onion and I still love him for it.

What I think is my most unpopular opinion, strictly going by my dash (because that’s really all I have to base it on)…
I don’t hate Marcus.
I definitely don’t like what he did and the fact that he didn’t put the brakes on at some point after he saw what had happened is definitely awful. However, my not liking his actions doesn’t translate into me not liking the character. And I especially am not calling for his blood.
Thinking on it, I might be as bold as to say I like Marcus. (But this is coming from someone who unabashedly adores Ivan, enjoys Blake, and would rather plead the fifth on my feelings for Vega. So, take my opinions with all the grains of salt available.

there can be only one ... or none at all
Everyone always thinks humans are the crazy ones, until they came along. Unnamed, highly intelligent, and monstrous looking no matter who you asked.
When They entered the galaxy, the Galactic Union representatives reached out like they did for every new species. Everyone except the humans. They did not approach Them. They did not try to stop anyone else either.
They never spoke to anyone, but They did massacre those aboard the welcome vessel. The humans alone were able to get off messages, warnings. Only because they began the messages before the murders began.
The first planet They invaded was prepared to fight. It didn’t matter. Within a standard rotation, They turned the planet into a cemetery and the Skoya species endangered.
The surrounding planets tried to evacuate, but They moved much faster than everyone else could manage. Families desperate to live abandoned everything to try to escape.
The galaxy prepared the best they could, but no one was optimistic.
Humans moved in shortly after the third planet was razed. They met Them on the plains of Xyla en mass. The humans fought Them and the entire galaxy watched as the war raged on longer than anyone could have expected.
The humans fought for so long that the rest of Xyla was able to be semi safely evacuated.
Once Xyla was cleared of any non-combatants, it was gone. The entire planet reduced to rubble in a near instant.
Humans had done it. They planned to destroy Xyla, and executed the planet along with their own people without hesitation. When questioned, humans explained that based off their own history, they didn’t expect anything else could sufficiently kill Them. Their soldiers were all voluntary sacrifices to win a war they prepared for a millennia ago.
It was a terrible thing that humans did. They won a war at a terrible cost. Despite the horror, the galaxy was safer. No one could admit it though. Most species refused to talk about it.
Humans were crazy. Until they weren’t.

ok ok imagine ...
Angel comes to Sam for cooking lessons since they want to surprise David. They agree to meet at Sam's place as to make it easier for them to hide things. All is going well. Angel learns a few new recipes to try out but then theres a knock at the door.
By the sound of the knock. Angel starts panicking. Sam can smell him, Angel can sense him. Both looked at each other not knowing what to do. Angel ducks down the counter while Sam answers the door.
It's David, looking for Darlin cuz they missed a pack meeting and was wondering if Darlin was at Sam's.
As soon as Sam opens the door David immedietly smelled something familiar behind the steaming freshly cooked dishes. He gives Sam a confused look which Sam quickly explains that he's cooking for Darlin which he did not see the whole day.
Angel from the kitchen can sense their mate's expression. Fazzled their eyes landed on a bulb of garlic and without thinking begins breaking and peeling and rubbing the spice onto themselves further masking their scent.
Angel's smell disappeared and it was replaced by garlic. David just stands there confused and poor Sam is just standing there blocking the door eyes watering like he had the most horrible case of spring allergies.
