Greece is currently battling over 100 fires and needs every bit of help she can get. Over the last couple of weeks Greece has been experiencing its worst heatwave in more than three decades, temperatures reached 45°C in some regions and have dried out our very dense pine forests making it very easy for the fire to spread very fast. Hundreds of houses and many villages have been destroyed by the blazes in the island of Evia, the northern suburbs of Athens and the Peloponnese (flames have even threatened Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games). Athens is engulfed in smoke, the Greek health authority reported levels of up to 465 micrograms of fine dust per cubic meter in the city center, the EU limit is 50 micrograms. Thousands of people have fled their homes, thousands of animals have been burned alive or suffocated by the smoke and over 100.000 acres of forest land have been reduced to ashes.

i really hate to be doing this but my country had been fighting with horrible forest fires for almost 8 days now and there is so little done to stop it. south coast of the turkey is quite literally under fire, many of us civils and animals had lost their lives, and over 3k+ buildings are destroyed, people are homeless. (here, you can watch the sky news journalist in bodrum, from a few days ago but the stuation continues the same. not only forests but it had been in the city center for days now, 60 villages had been destroyed and now the modern apartments etc. too.)
so what does our government do? nothing. our people had been fighting with the fires all by themselves because the government left them to die, to their own fate. erd*gan refuses to use our firefighter planes because they are somehow, "old", even though thats a complete lie. morever, the governors refuse to help the towns affected by this horror, just because the said districts are with oppositent mayors. i dont want to put dead burned animals photos here so feel free to google, but our animals are dying and our people are just had been fighting on their own, without any equipment.
these are some of the animals that had been saved, but there are many of them gone and no one counts them as "dead" lives at all. here, you can listen the birds screaming for the lives from this video.
all of the people in these photos are civils, yes, even the men who are fighting with the fire above (he is even a famous actor himself, not a professional at all). the people below them are getting water from the sea to use them against the fires.
these are the firefighter planes that our government refuses to use (a delegate of the oppositent parties went front of the instution they are held in) and they are the same ones that came to help from spain and crotia. we have our own planes but the government does not use them, and they dont allow the oppositent mayors to use them either.
PLEASE, please raise awareness about whats happening in turkey, a quick search on the news would tell you about the humanity crisis going on here. dont turn a blind eye to whats happening here.

this is not a joke.
TURKEY IS BEING BURNT DOWN! and It’s not a natural disaster, it’s arson. literal terror. a crime. there are 58 fires going on in 17 different cities. this has been going on for 2 days. people are dying, losing their homes.
helicopters, drones, planes and thousands of firemen are currently trying to control fires in 10 different locations in southern Turkey. so far, three people have died, hundreds of animals have perished and several settlements are being evacuated.
A WHOLE country is on fire please that is not something you can underestimate.
please use your voice for us.
please dont stay in silence.

what is happening in turkey
please, do not stay silent, use your platforms to spread awareness. please, help us.
Big fires have been breaking out in Turkey for 2 days. Right now, more than 10 cities are on fire (one of them is the city i'm currently living in). Houses, villages and farms are burning. Our country's vehicles are not enough, people are losing their homes and their lives.
A lot of animals have lost their lives and keep on losing while you are reading this because of the fire. Our government is literally doing nothing. In news, they are telling us the fire is under control but it is not. Fake news also prevents possible help from other countries.
So far, three people have died, hundreds of animals have perished and several settlements are being evacuated. One of the fires is close to the Mersin nuclear power plant and if the fires are not stopped there’ll be a big disaster.
