Do you mind if I take some inspiration from your star-touched elves for a speices in a fantasy universe I'm making(I only use it for dnd and stories in my head)? Its really just the base idea of elves with skin that reflects the time of day/night they where born at and also them sometimes having horns that I took inspiration from the society and name and probably lore is also diffrent. Its chill if you say no, I just wanted to make sure sence its a pretty cool idea you came up with
Go for it! As long as it isn’t straight up copying their general lore/abilities then it’s all good :D
If you ever end up sharing art or lore for em let me know I’d love to see it!
Also I recommend checking out the elves in the Dragon Prince show if you need more inspiration as one of them is literally called a startouch elf!
(I only realised the names were similar after already settling on em lmaooo)

Now that every Startouched subrace is finished I can finally post all six sheets together!
Keep in mind that any lore or art I’ve made is meant as a building block for y’all’s ideas and characters and can be thrown out the window if you want! 💖
I just want to say thank you to everyone who has supported this homebrew project over the last year. The suggestions, ideas, questions and art that you guys have shared have helped me keep up the motivation to finish these guys and I hope you all like the final piece 💖
In the future I may make more dnd homebrew stuff but for now I’m gunna go lie down-

hey i am utterly obsessed with your startouched subraces, but a quick question: is startouched considered a race much like human/elf/dwarf/etc are, or is it a subrace of an existing dnd race that also has subraces? and if its the former, do you have like a baseline page for them that ties them all together too? i found your compilation of the 6 but nothing that would be like the core traits between all 6 of them (if that makes sense? still a bit new to dnd sorry)
Aaa I’m glad you like em! I thought I made a post about their base stuff since they are considered their own separate race but I’ll list them here as well :D
Startouched are known for the unique sky patterns that form on their skin which dictates their powers somewhat. When a startouched is born their skin will reflect the sky and time they were born under (aka a child born during sunrise would have blue yellow and maybe pink swirls and clouds across their skin and would be the Dawn subclass).
Startouched society puts a lot of value in how close someone was born to night and considers people born during the Dawn, Day and Dusk to be lesser/weaker. (There’s more lore on how this works in the individual subraces sheets!)
Since their appearance and subrace is heavily dictated by the sky, a family could be made up of many different subraces with varying appearances and skin patterns! Though things like horns and hair could also be influenced by genetics :D
Also you can just make stuff up and add to the existing lore! Or just totally disregard it in favour of something cooler. This race is meant to be a fun option for artists who want to draw sparkly elves hehe
