Sometimes I see these people on IG or anywhere else be like 'Dc fandom is so toxic, tumblr user glfan123 got mad at me when I reblogged their fun post with a funny (not really, more racist/dumbed down/very ooc) head canon'.

I am sorry to say this, but other dc fans are pretty done with the batstans and others who only read out of context panels, fanfics, webtoons or make shit up and read nothing from the canon source materials.

Of course there are people who will be dudebro-ish, display Twitter behavior and be toxic as fuck, but most people here will gladly give you comic recs (usually with links to rco, so you have to put on your pirate hat) if asked.

I get people don’t like Tom Taylor and have a lot of problems with his work, but sending him death threats and doing stuff like tagging him in posts where you’re burning his photo are not helping anything and makes him and his fans less likely to take disabled people (and people of other groups he’s caused harm to) seriously when discussing their legitimate criticisms of his work because he and his fans lump all those posts together

I think that Cass could do it if she put in the effort, but it would be a lot of effort for her and I don't think she'd usually bother.

i actually think that after she's had time to catch up on some social development Cass is probably one of the better bats at passing for normal. she and Dick and maybe Steph have the best sense of performing "just some guy". Bruce, Babs, and Duke all overstep the mark and successfully pass as "not normal but not in a batman way more a this dude weird as fuck way" whereas Tim, Damian, and Jason are all under the mistaken impression that they can just be a version of themselves that is not a vigilante and come off as genuinely unhinged

Cass and Steph are sparring. It proceeds as usual with Cassandra winning effortlessly over and over. Her hands are folded behind her back, infuriatingly smug smirk of superiority on her face as she sidesteps all of Stephanie's kicks and punches and calls her "slow" and "sloppy" and "weak" before sweeping the legs out from under her. Steph hits the mat hard for the umpteenth time that night and blows the hair out of her face in frustration. She looks up at Cass who grins mockingly down at her and a decision is made. She picks herself up. She dusts herself off. She looks Cass square in the face and reaches over to tuck a stray hair strand behind Cass' ear. Cass' smile fades and her eyes widen. She pulls Cass in close and her jaw goes slack. Steph leans in for the kiss and Cass hesitates before closing her eyes and leaning in also. Then Stephanie grabs her by collar, pivots on her heel, flips Cassandra over her shoulder and slams her down on the mat with the might of Hercules. Cass lays there staring blankly up at the ceiling struggling to process what has just happened. "I know what you're thinking," Stephanie says, "that trick was only ever gonna work on you once in our lifetimes and I wasted it being petty. And you're totally right. And it was totally worth it." Steph is already halfway out the door with her gym bag slung over her shoulder, whistling a tune as she goes. Cass has not moved nor blinked.

Anita Fite was done and has continued to be done dirty for a long time. She spent the original Young Justice run being preyed on by older men, bullied, drawn half naked, been foisted with stereotypical depictions of Vodou, having her major spotlight arc co-opted by a random team up if basically every teen hero, having the climax of her spotlight arc instead going to more Cissie angst, and then receiving an incredibly dumb write out. Literally every member of Young Justice save her (and Slobo, but his circumstances are trickier) has since resurfaced in modern comics. Anita deserves her chance in the spotlight. The current continuity reset means we don't have to stay married to her bullshit ending. There's a lot of potentially interesting ground to cover with her relationships to the loa. She can have more insane homoerotic tension with other women. Maybe she'll almost stab a werewolf to death for looking at the girl she likes wrong again! DC is also sorely lacking a magical team book at the moment. She'd do great on a team as the magic user who actually knows how to throw a punch Bring her back!!!
