What we love about Seoul!
Seoul in South Korea is a fun, quirky city that we at LikeWhere just love! Here are just a few of the reasons why we fell in love with this cool city.
#1 Ice Cream Cones as Long as Your Arm
Tumblr media
When you ask for an ice-cream in Seoul be prepared for what comes next because Seoul is famous for it's delicious 30cm ice cream cones! Maybe skip dinner and go straight for dessert :-)
#2 Fun Street Food
Tumblr media
Where else in the world could you find dried squid and octopus on a street corner? Dinner times are fun in Seoul because you never know what you're going to find. It's a bit like a game of russian roulette, only you may surprise yourself at what you find tasty!
#3 Virtual Shopping
Tumblr media
Yes you heard us right! You can virtual shop in Seoul's Tesco store. All you need to do is download the Tesco Homeplus app on your mobile phone, scan the barcodes of the items you want in store and have them delivered to your doorstep the same day!
#4 Uber Modern Design
Tumblr media
Seoul is cutting edge when it comes to modern design and architecture and is constantly evolving!
#5 Dog Cafe's
Tumblr media
Who wouldn't love going for an afternoon coffee and having a cuddle with some cute dogs!! However if you're a hygiene freak maybe this wouldn't be for you!

Meeting your idol: Lonely Planet.
Ok, so Lonely Planet are not quite our idol, but we do still think very fondly of them as a brand.  Tony and Maureen Wheeler started Lonely Planet from "a beat-up old car, a few dollars in the pocket, and a sense of adventure" - I think that is where our sense of appreciation comes from - a young, adventurous couple willing to document their travels and share their discoveries with the world.
It was a real treat to meet with LP in Oakland, California earlier this month and chat a little around some shared passions.
Oh, if ever you are in the woods you must visit Nellie's for some soul food - "its like having down-home Sunday dinner every day!".

Why Evernote staff have got it good...
There are plenty of arguments I can use to justify the title of this post - firstly Evernote have a killer product, and a popular one at that (50 million users, 9 million premium users). Then there is the company culture - they are so nice, they do what they say will do, and, above all, they are humble.
If you have been fortunate to have reason to visit the Evernote HQ in Redwood City, you will also notice how cool the offices are - and the on-site food is so good, every day I believe.
But surely the NUMBER ONE reason why Evernote staff have got it so good is highlighted above.
In. N. Out.

When to Buy That Plane Ticket!
Tumblr media
There is something in me that kinda loves the researching of airfares, especially for big trips. But then I hate it too. But one thing I can never get my head around is WHEN to hit the BUY button. I know with budget airlines you get nailed on price if you don't book in advance, but with transatlantic fares it seems you can still leave it pretty late at times and still get an ok fare.
So I was delighted to see this article from the New York Times on the very subject - check it out!
