I feel like the whopping zero success stories since like 2014 of Tumblr callouts actually keeping communities safe or successfully removing genuinely dangerous people or doing anything good should be a pretty good clue that it's at best an incredibly-likely-to-backfire and unlikely-to-succeed way to ensure actual accountability and at its worst (99% of the time) it's basically just malicious, spurious horseshit.
Even in cases where somebody actually is a bonafide noxious actor there's a dozen better ways to go about it. What year is it. I can't believe this shit has happened several times in 2023. This website is stuck in time.
