ugh, I'm devastated. Bandai Namco has been on a killing spree copyrighting songs. All of the classic, well known playlists of the Darks Soul soundtracks are gone and so are the channels, which sucks, cus one of them also uploaded no commentary walkthroughs. My playlists are decimated. Demon Souls got eviscerated, which sucks cus those extended tracks of Ivor(?) were the only versions of certain remake demon souls tracks that didn't audio peak. (hope he manages to get his channel back, was actually subscribed cus I liked his work and he introduced me to a lot of cool games)

Worst of all the've gone after Alex Roes beautiful remixes, which originally is what brought this to my attention.

I get its Bandai Namco's right (except Alex Roe, that's just wrong) but they removed all the topic versions of the soundtracks years ago, so its the only way to really listen to them on YouTube. Ugh, I'm not excited to do damage control on my dnd campaign playlist

March for Raph day 19:

The others go missing

"Your brothers are gone now. You are all alone"

"My...attention is now reserved for you alone"

Woof, was hard finishing this "in time" this is very late but I still wanted to finish it. Ended up learning a whole new program for it, so the learning curve was rough.

This entry is based off an AU of mine, partly inspired by Rise, set in the 2012 universe where, post series end, Shredder comes back as a ghost/demon, and Raphael ends up sacrificing himself to seal him away, to his brothers despair.

Five years pass, but for Raphael and Shredder, mental and soul-wise, it's been 50. And when they're finally released, Raphael is no longer himself.

We could call it March for Raph.

@therebelinred and I put together a prompt list. We kind of started with the idea of exploring his goofier side more, but honestly there’s a lot of angst-leaning prompts on here as well. We just like Raph all around, and thought this would be a fun one to share

Could be any iteration, any length, you could do one for each day or one for the month. I wrote this with stories in mind but all kinds of things could work—art, gifsets, short essay answer style—the prompts are super simple and wide open.

Cryonax has a lot of potential

A quick unfinished sketch I did of a potential Cryonax Redesign. I tried to keep some of his yeti like aspects, but I wanted to add more ice, make him look spookier, and embrace the weirder aspects of his design. if we're going to give the Elemental Prince of Evil Ice tentacles, let's go more Eldritch with it! You want to know what's cold, space! He extinguishes starts in cannon apparently, let's roll with it. Make him the devourer of stars, that which lurks in the emptiness in the sky, the yawning cold at the bottom of every glacier. He has the potential to be so cool!

I'll probably finish up the sketch soon, but I just wanted to get my thoughts out first.

Aspects were inspired by Ryan Von Dogen's redesign. Like you don't understand, I have a google doc that's over 24 pages of semi written summaries and fic ideas. More than half are One Piece and Zolu. Another big chunk are DBZ with a variety of ships. And since watching the 2022 ROTTMNT Movie, I have a steadily building lump about those turtles, especially my boi Raph.

There's two Separated AU's guys! And a brain and brawn fic that's practically all planned out.

I've got a One Piece but it's in Runeterra AU!!! I'm not even a League player! I just like some of the music and think some of the characters are neat, what happened????!!!!

OPLA Soundtrack and Zolu Part 2

The brain rot has returned again. I was discussing with @general-cyno, You Better Not Mess With The Strawhats, the song that plays when Zoro is saying his "Totally Normal and Not Gay At All Life Devotion Pledge, Part 2" It has a tiny bit of Luffy's theme in the beginning when he is blaming himself. But it's overtaken by, Zoro's theme, which starts off soft, then builds up, Luffy's instruments (drums and trumpets) joining in in playing it, till it crescendos triumphantly. (They're themes combining and building on each other just like their dreams and Zoro lifting up Luffy both emotionally and musically in the scene and-)

And now that I've gone back and listened to it, the reverse can be said in "Totally Normal and Not Gay At All Life Devotion Pledge, Part 1". 'Wounds On The Back Are A Swordsman's Greatest Shame' which is the OST for the Zoro vs Mihawk fight, towards the end 4:26, you have the saddest version of Luffy's theme I have ever heard, as he cradles Zoro's body. Then, when Mihawk leaves, you hear Zoro's instruments return, around 5:00, and it starts to build again, still very sad. You can really hear it at 5:23, where they have Zoro's wind instrument (I don't know the name) carying the melody as it plays Luffy's theme(though it's still so sad). (Zoro's instruments rising up to weakly support Luffy's theme just like in the scene, because his captain is sad, and he doesn't want to disappoint him, and Luffy's instruments intertwine cuz he wants to keep him there, and he doesn't want to lose him, and he's scared-)

The fact that this damn soundtrack has not only Luffy's instruments playing Zoro's theme, but Zoro's playing Luffy's, and its the Oath scenes. They make me so ill, I can't stand them, I could write a love letter to the composers.

Do you think Koshiro and Mihawk will get along, or is it gonna be like Kung Fu Panda 3, and they're going to have passive aggressive squabbles behind Zoro's back about whose the daddiest dad of them all, and who'll have the honor of giving away Zoro at his and Luffy's future wedding. (Zoro and Luffy have no plans to be married anytime soon, but that doesn't stop them from fighting over it, as they both know it's inevitable)

Imagine how the reunion conversation would go:

Koshiro and Zoro are sat down, having a drink: "So, Zoro, tell me about this Captain of yours"

Zoro, drinking straight from a bottle of Sake, with a dreamy smile on his face "Well , I was being held prisoner at a marine base"

Koshiro freezes, tea halfway to his lips "W-what? Did he free you?"

"Well, first he said he would let me go if I joined his crew"

sets down tea, "I see"

"Than he said he would get my swords, but he would only give them back if I joined his crew"

slowly unsheathes sword, "I see"

Koshiro doesn't know...

Do you guys ever think about how Koshiro has never met Luffy or any of the crew? Like, everyone else's found family (that were still alive) got to meet the crew before, or only slightly after, they joined. They saw Luffy, saw the dynamics, and were happy for them. Koshiro just woke up one day, maybe idly wandering what Zoro, renowned pirate hunter is up too, then had a news coo drop his damn bounty at his feet. How confused do you think he was. He finds out A, Zoro finally got outside of the East Blue, B is no longer a pirate hunter, C is wanted by the government, and D is a pirate now?!

I find it hilarious, because he's commentary on Zoro's bounties (when they're not showing Mihawk for them as the other half of Zoro's found family) is just "Well, I hope he's happy, and is still following the Swordsman code", because he has no idea what the hell's going on.

But think of all the funny rationalizations he tried to come up with. Was he blackmailed? (not incorrect) Paid? (no, my son would never) Some kind of mind control?(doubtful)

Maybe he thinks that because Mihawk is a warlord and works for the government, so Zoro is by default going against the government as a pirate, and is just part of the crew as it serves his needs. Because he doesn't know! He doesn't know "do you have any problem with that Pirate King?!" or that nothing happened! He has no idea that his dumb sword son is head over heels, like near instantly, for Monkey D "Dumbass" Luffy, who Koshiro had to ask around for who he was, since when he saw Luffy's first bounty he probably only had the passing thought "hm, high for the East Blue" and promptly forgot about it.

Guys, he probably thinks the straw hats are like a normal crew.
