Writing protip: I’m always floored when I hear writers say ‘I don’t know how to write black, Asian, Hispanic etc characters.’

Just to let everyone know I actually have red-penned Wrath of Missy until chapter five and am currently doing more. So if anyone wants the red-penned edition just to get through it (because it is HORRIBLE to get through just reading without any kind of commentary) then just send me an ask and I’ll email you.

After deliberation, I think that Jon should keep those things out of his books because we all know they will be shamed and made fun of if he puts them in. Hell, just look at his attempt at adding PoC to his book (the Mexican woman)! Obviously, adding more wouldn't be more inclusive at all, especially with the LGBTQIA+ community; homophobia is still a thing and it's a thing that a lot of people are a part of. His misrepresentations of PoC and the LGBTQIA+ community would do more harm than good, so they need to stay out of his writing.

Jon is so vague with his descriptions that unless he specifically describes someone as a different race (the Mexican laundry worker and the wizard named Akira, for example), you don’t know if they’re white or black or Mexican or mixed, etc.

Also, why is it that Jon feels the need to have his characters lecture women for being abusive, shallow, selfish moochers who use men but doesn't do the exact same thing to men, who are guilty of the exact same crime?

Oh, wait, it’s because they’re guys and it’s expected of them to think that way because that’s how all guys think about women all the time but it’s absolutely UNNATURAL and UNTHINKABLE for a woman to do the same thing. Clearly she needs to be put in her place.

Laundry Worker: A rewrite of a scene from Wrath of Missy

(This is a scene that takes place at ‘O’Donathan’s Den of Irish Drunkery’ in the third chapter of ‘The Wrath of Missy.’ Aside from the fact that Jon has no tact naming an Irish eatery, this piece is in response to Morgalla’s commentary on a “laundry attendant.” Try to ignore that Jon omitted a reason as to why Hell spawn speak only English or how Morgalla even knows about illegals or any similar social concept in the States. Also, this woman is specifically a “laundry attendant.” Most establishments have a specific member of the house-keeping staff for laundry at Hotels or the like; Jon added this woman specifically because she was a woman who “could not speak English” and worked folding clothes, a very stereotypical job for a very stereotypical character. Also, due to Jon’s description of the place as more of a bar/grill than a fine dining place, laundry is likely not a full time job. There are so many extra details that can be added and so some things will be assumed.)
