Listen I know, I know El used her powers during season 3 but (other than in Lenora Hills where she had to be) that was probably the closest she felt to being Jane.
Jane, The teenage girl hitting a rough patch with her boyfriend. The teenage girl whose best friend, Max, took her to the mall for a fashion show to make her feel better. The teenage girl who had sleepovers all summer instead of being alone.
She probably felt closest to normal here.

Things about stranger things I think about a lot:
1. El and Max and their relation to rainbows.
2. Will: They won’t understand. Mike: El would. (This is my biggest proof of El not caring if Mike and Will get together. She just wants her brother and her friends to be happy.)
3. The fact one of El’s favorite parts about Hawkins were the wildflowers and they were the first things to start rotting away.
4. El sacrificed herself in every season. Why would season 5 be any different?

I want more Jonathan and El scenes.
Like yes Will and El are my fave siblings but JONATHAN!!!
We barely get to see them really interact but from El’s letter to Mike it’s clear she likes him and is at least a part of his life (I mean she kinda has to be cause she lives with them but STILL)
I want to see Jonathan and El finally really get some kind of big interaction or something. And maybe even a full Hopper-Byers sibling interaction.
