Much to everyone’s absolute shock, I’m actually alive. Well, mostly.
As a birthday present to Kim (and just because fuck yes), I’m going to be revamping this blog. It’s going to be over on another account most likely, so look forward to that!!! A fresh start is going to be amazing, and I can’t wait to get back into Bridgette.

I’ve been thinking about this for awhile, but the stress of maintaining this blog has just been way too much. I’m not nearly as active as I want to be, and with my compulsive behavior, having a chaotic, unorganized blog just makes me panic. There’s too much to keep up on here, and I just can’t right now. This blog will be on hiatus for possibly forever. However, I would love to roleplay over discord. I love Bridgette and still have plenty of muse. Maybe I’ll even bring this back one day.
Thank you so much for a wonderful year and a half. <3
Love you all! Marie

Guess who came out her apartment after who knows how long, yep. It’s Nooroo. Or well, as many know her Nao. Sighing softly, she didn’t think she would get so invested into watching anime. She would have to talk to Adrien about that. Shaking her head, she sighed and stretched as she walked down the street. She would have to apologize to many people for dropping off the face of the earth. Well, except Gabriel.
Who was first? She had no idea. Maybe whoever spotted her on the street first. That’s all she knew she was going to do. Maybe grab some strawberries as well. She wasn’t one hundred percent sure. It was still confusing what she should do.
It was her need for fresh air that drove Bridgette to the park and market today. Her to-do list is overflowing, but she simply can’t find the motivation to tackle it. Instead she’s marveling at a wide array of flowers, idly wondering what would make a good addition to her room. She runs her fingers gently over some incredibly pink and yellow petals, the busy world around her fading into nothing.
Paris had been fairly quiet recently, and she was glad for the break. Superheroing could get exhausting quite quickly.

Bridgette let out a huff as she plopped into a booth at her and Adrien’s regular café meeting spot. She enjoyed how their friendship felt secretive. It was refreshing to have a friend that wasn’t only speaking with her because she’s Marinette’s cousin.
“I swear, these math classes are going to kill me,” Bridgette whined, laying her head down on the table. “And if they don’t, the English classes will.”

Bridgette had never wanted to leave Riverdale. She liked the place. The town is a beautiful place, and the people aren’t that bad either. She’s not the big city type, and losing herself forever in the gentle summers and kind winters just seems like a part of growing up for Bridgette. However, getting away from her parents has become a number one priority. Still a teen, there’s not much she can do to physically get away. In the dark of the night though, she can put her headphones over her ears, turn the lights off, and just go. Her mind takes her into space and for awhile, she feels free.
She keeps the volume down low, just in case her parents decide to make a midnight check-up; they’re insane like that. So when her window (never locked in a town like Riverdale) slides open she sits up abruptly, startled to see none other than Félix Agreste crawling through her window with a flashlight. Bridgette turns the lamp on and takes her headphones off, looking at the teen as if he’s grown a second head.
They’d talked before, briefly. How could they not? After all, they attended school together and he was friends with Allegra who was dating Claude who was friends with Bridgette... In a small town like Riverdale, everyone has always known everyone if only by face. However the last thing she’d expected tonight was for him to crawl through her window.
Slightly uncomfortable, she fidgets in her bed while being entirely unsure of what one even does in this situation. “Um... I won’t scream if you quickly explain yourself?” She offers, brows pinching together.

Winter was quickly setting into Paris, and with each passing colder day, Bridgette began to get more and more irritated. She’d never done well with the cold, and after Fiaa, her hatred for the weather seemed to only increase. As soon as Bridgette got into her warm, cozy room she stripped away most of her extra layers, careful to let Fiaa make her escape from her jacket. Bridgette flopped onto her daybed with a huff.
“I want to be surrounded by warm things all the time,” she griped. It was then that the brilliant idea came to her. She suddenly sat up, grinning at her kwami. “What if we make a nest?”

While outwardly he did his best not to look shocked, he wasn’t sure what to do with this new information on his sort of friend and coworker. She did seem the type to want to have kids but given their ages and what he recalled about her passion for professional dancing, he couldn’t have expected it so soon. However as he watched her fondly interact with the child, it was easy to see the bond established on both ends. She said herself Ami was the best thing that happened to her, and who was he to say anything otherwise.
As they started to get ready, he did so himself, not wanting to intrude on their mother-daughter venture. Awkwardness was an understatement after the admission but he wasn’t sure how to follow up. He wasn’t going to treat Bridgette any different because of this but it was obvious they had plans and he wasn’t the type to ask to come along. He was trying to come up with a reason to excuse himself but before he could think to say anything, his attempt to leave was dashed at the request.
All Félix could do was blink in surprise at the offer, moving his gaze from Bridgette to Ami. Today was their first official day meeting but he was surprised she wanted him to continue to be around. Looking at the childish grin and eager beam, he sighs but gives a small smile back at her, “Well it would be ungentlemanly to refuse a little lady’s offer.” He turns back to Bridgette, ready to follow her out, even if a bit nervous himself. He wasn’t sure what he’d gotten himself in to, “Classes won’t be a problem, and I don’t mind tagging along. This cafe have good coffee?”
Bridgette watches him a bit nervously, and can’t help the relief that washes over her when he agrees. This new friendship is tentative and fragile, and she wouldn’t want it to be destroyed so soon. Despite the years it’d been since school, there was still a fondness that dwelled in her chest for him. A soft laugh left her as she nodded, grin tugging at her lips. “They have coffee, but I can’t say that I’ve ever tried it.” It seemed his fondness for the drink still persisted.
Ami beamed and tugged her mother’s hand, wanting her to hurry up towards the door. Bridgette let her lead the way, assuming that Félix would follow. “It’s not far from here,” Bridgette explained to their lunch companion. “We go when Ami comes with me to work. She likes the break from routine and it helps make her more amicable during the day.” Much like her mother, Ami could have quite the temper. For the most part, their relationship was easy and simple, but Ami was prone to childish fallings just like every other child. In fact, Sabine had often said she was just like Bridgette -- high energy with a knack for becoming aggressive and angry when upset.
“Mama, I want a cookie.” Ami peered up at Bridgette, big eyes begging. Bridgette snorted and ruffled the girl’s hair with her free hand. “With that face how can I say no?” Satisfied, Ami turned back to watching where they were going, keeping a firm hold on her mother’s hand. The small girl loved going out into the city and seeing all it had to offer. She was already taken with people and their complexities, even at her young age.
Bridgette glanced towards Félix. “How’ve you been? We haven’t had a chance to really talk much.”

Bridgette couldn’t help but fidget slightly, never enjoying the part where Marinette tailored the newest outfit to her. She never stood still well and she had a strange fear of being stuck with needles. “Why don’t you hurry up?” She huffed, fighting the urge to cross her arms.
It didn’t help that she still hadn’t seen the costume. Marinette had insisted on blindfolding her, saying that it would add to the whole experience.

He looked in her eyes, feeling his heartbeat pounding. How could that feeling not be real? It was so… so strange, knowing he wasn’t real. Knowing everything he experienced was the illusion in the mind of something… something that he couldn’t place. He didn’t know what he was. But he wanted to reach out and grab her hand. He definitely felt it when she brushed her hand against his. But… did he really feel that? Was that where the bug or whatever was? Or was that contact part of the illusion? She didn’t look like she was lying to him about anything. She looked like she’d honestly missed him… like she honestly still saw him as her old childhood friend. That wasn’t how people ever reacted to changelings.
“Thank you,” he murmured. “For saying that. But I know… I know I’m not human. Or sentient at all in a natural state. If you saw the real version of me…” He reached out, taking her hand and tracing a circle on her wrist. “You wouldn’t let it touch you. You’re going to see eventually.” He was scared. He didn’t want to know that she was going to pull away soon, that this couldn’t last, even if at the moment she still saw the Purem boy with the gold hair and constant string of remarks on everything he saw. Soon she’d see, that boy was a fabrication by Fae who wanted to hurt his par- the Malheurs. He couldn’t let her get close. He’d regret it when his body began faltering, and she inevitably left, not wanting to deal with something that couldn’t react, communicate, or touch her hand. “You’ll see.”
He cringed when she began spilling her promises to stay by his side, unable to trust them. She didn’t know what she was getting herself into. She couldn’t. She thought she cared about him. If it were as easy as she was making it out to be, people wouldn’t abandon those they cared about so easily when it was discovered that they were changelings. It wouldn’t be so simple to let them burn. They had to be inhuman, or… it just wouldn’t work, because the people who executed his kind were not cruel. They were doing the right thing. He deserved extermination, just like any other pest. “I… I won’t leave until you ask me to,” he murmured. “But when the time comes, you will the one who will make me leave.”
There were many points that it just wasn’t worth arguing over. This seemed to be one of them. For now, there would be no convincing Félix of anything other than what he believed. Proving him wrong would be slow going, and she’d have to show him through her actions rather than her words. Bridgette would show him though. She would prove her words as truth.
Bridgette returned the touch with a light squeeze, careful not to pull away from him. His words were worrisome, to think that she would be callous enough to leave him behind... It didn’t sit well with the young woman. “Well, I suppose we’ll just have to see.” A smile graced her lips before she stood, dragging her fingers through her hair to push it back from her face and expel the nervous energy that had begun to build up. “Are you sure you’re not hungry? I feel like I’m starving.” They would probably need to figure out some sort of plan soon, but there was nothing wrong with playing a bit of catch-up first.
