“Guess I can relate. Only I ran out of smokes and the doc is doing health checks. Peace out on that.”
He has done enough running around and needed to give his prosthetic foot a break before the area between flesh and metal grew achy. Like hell, he’ll go near the medbay for a small patch up either. That’s what dispensers are for. Plus Angel hardly had energy lately to scuttle out and around on the RED bases’ rooftop to avoid their medic until Mr. Loony gave up. Especially today. Fuck that guy and his needles. Pretty much the summary on why they had gone as far as the fences would allow without getting scolded.
Grunting, he restrained a yawn, fingers interlocking and arms stretching out, causing a series of back pops that felt better than any massage therapist. Hah like the guy knew what that felt like since he isn’t a fan of strangers getting handsy but close enough in his book.
“Samanthas around here somewhere too. Probably gunna surprise me with something I’ll have to put her in time out for.”
“Your Medic... Does he always, y’know, give you shots or something?”
Nathan frowned a bit on that. He couldn’t blame him though, given that he himself had hid in bathrooms whenever his mother took him to the doctor for shots when he was a kid. He shared the same fear of needles with the RED Scout. Even until now, it would take him a bit of coaxing from his own Medic for it. He never tried to run from it and wasn’t against having health checks. Hell, even Nathan would sometimes drop by the doctor’s office if he needed medication or if he thought something was wrong with him. Only when needles are involved is where the BLU Scout’s stubbornness shows. Safe to say that him and his team’s Medic would have this slight back-and-forth bicker with each other until he finally convinces the boy for it. Raising a brow, a confused look spread across his face as the other Scout mentioned this... Samantha person. Was she his little sister? He decided not to question it or ask him as he felt like it wasn’t his business to be poking in around in something that he deemed was personal.

scattergun-scout‌:
“Seriously?” He sat down next to him, keeping a fair amount of space between them. “No way. Are you Southie or some other part? I won’t judge ya if you are.” He seemed to be better than before, but spacey. Fair, he thought. This was literally a dude he killed every day on the field. For now, he subconciously forgot about that if they both held up white flags.
“I don’t think Dorchester is part of the south.”
The BLU Scout just let out a noise between a scoff and a chuckle. He had been to the south, but it was mostly during family trips when he was a kid. His family traveled a lot, to a point where they spent a good while of their ‘vacation’ in Germany. The perks of having older brothers, he guessed. The youngest among the siblings, also the target of pranks with his more mischievous brothers.
But he wasn’t going to dwell on that. He definitely wouldn’t want to.
Sure, to others, his childhood seemed nice. But to Nathan, it was... unpleasant for the most part. It had its ups, but the downs outweighs the good parts of it. At least for him.
“What about you? Which part of Boston are you from?”

bleedxngxms‌:
Angel might of, sorta, been half aware of his surroundings. Both teams were on a true for the next day or two while the battlements were in repairs, so he hardly felt worried about anything for the now. That D-bag RED sniper had gotten transferred onto another base and hadn’t been seen in almost a year- thank fuck.
Yet again, the RED wasn’t fond of most of the REDs. Hell, probably would’ve been a BLU once the head deemed him “stable” to properly intergrade into an actual team. Only if he didn’t follow Jeremy like a lovesick puppy that is. Heh.
So when someone spoke up from somewhere below his perch, which happened to be the top of a nurual colored shed, the other man momentarily surprised him. The auburn redhead peeked down and cracking a tired, half smirk.
“Ey, what’s up.”
Kicking dirt into the air with his shoes, Nathan just sort of shrugged in response. He wasn’t really sure what he was doing- well, aside from walking around outside the base. But what else can he do? He was limited on what things he could do inside his team’s base. Sure, reading, jogging and playing catch with the BLU Engineer or BLU Pyro seemed like a good idea to pass his time, but the runner was also notorious for getting bored easily.
Being restless wasn’t uncalled for him either.
It was refreshing to say the least, having to talk with someone else who wasn’t from your team. Ceasefire is great. Though, it made him wonder if the others were smart enough not to cause some kind of trouble during at this time. And he wasn’t referring to just the RED team. His team as well.
“Nothing much I suppose. Just takin’ a stroll out, getting myself a breather.”

@bleedxngxms liked for a starter.
Another RED? Well, the BLU Scout was more than happy to strike up a conversation with him. Unless they threaten him. When that does happen though, he would book it. There was no point in risking his life to try and talk with someone who would outright threaten him.
This one didn’t seem to be here to cause trouble. But then again, Nathan could never know. It was a gamble at this point for him. And he would be lying if he did say that he was afraid. But of course, he won’t outright admit that.
  “Hey.”
He greeted with a wave at the other Scout. He wasn’t the best at it, but hey, at least he tried, right?

scattergun-scout·:
Jeremy’s lip quirked into a half-smirk. “Alright, yeah. You like baseball? Who’s yer home team? Mine’s the Red Sox cause I’m from ‘round there, yanno?” He immediately (but unsurprisingly) warmed up quickly once he figured they had something in common. “Where are you from?”
Nathan seemed to freeze at that. The Red Sox was familiar to him. No. He knew that baseball team. He had been their games when he was a kid. That team wasn’t an unknown to him.
Boston.
His homeplace.
So the RED Scout lives there too. Huh, a small world they live in. He shook himself, snapping back to his senses when he realized that the other runner was wondering why he went silent all of a sudden. It wasn’t uncalled for Nathan to space out. Sometimes, the boy was deep in thought, his expression sometimes unreadable when he was thinking about something.
“Sorry, sort of spaced out there for a moment. But uh, yeah... Boston. Born and raised there.”
He managed to chuckle a bit, albeit a nervous one while scratching the back of his head. He felt that he didn’t need to answer the other Scout’s question about the team, seeing his origin was more than just a clue. Well, at least they had something in common.

scattergun-scout‌:
“Talk… about what?” He asked, tilting his head slightly. He had never encountered someone from BLU who didn’t immediately want to shoot his freaking brains out, but this didn’t seem like a trick. He looked kinda genuine, which eased RED’s nervousness a bit. “You ain’t gonna like, kill me or somethin’, right?” He asked, just to confirm his suspicions.
  “Stuff, I guess? Baseball maybe?”
The BLU Scout was certain RED was also into baseball. At least that was a start, that is if his assumption was correct. Sometimes, he’d feel dumb asking if it seemed like an obvious thing. He needed to, for assurance. Perhaps it was to avoid some kind of humiliation. Getting laughed at for a mistake.
He hated that.
“Sorry, I’m not the best at conversations. We can talk whatever you have in mind. I don’t care if   you start it off with asking questions.”
He gave a friendly smile at the other runner. His backpack, where he stored his prized bat was back at the base. His belt and pockets were empty. He was unarmed. And that was a risky move. He was practically in danger right now, and he hoped that at least the rest of his teammates were reasonable enough not to kill an unarmed BLU member. Then again...
Nathan’s life was always at stake.
