Don't you think it's interesting that Shinichi has only ever personally told Dr Agasa about his shrinkage? Technically, everyone else has either figured it out themselves, or were told by Agasa. And he only told Agasa, not his parents, or his best friends or anyone else.

Even then, Shinichi's first response was to try and enter his house, his empty house, and only when that failed did he tell Agasa, and that may have only been because he ran into him at the specific moment.

yes!! gosho's probably trying to make it more "meaningful" when shinichi tells ran lol. i'm sure ran would be totally understanding and forgive shinichi if he tells her that ran was the only person he really wanted to tell

on another note, I don't think it's that unusual for someone in that situation to try to go home first! I mean, I don't think many of us would run away from the police after being knocked out and fed a weird drug, but given that shinichi had already legged it and it was wet and dark outside and he was wearing clothes 10 sizes too large, I think it'd be normal to just want to go home, get a shower, find some clothes that actually fit and lie in bed for a bit and think about whether this is actually real. Even if no one's home to help you, I think home is the first place I would think of if something that unbelievable happened to me..? it's not like I could go to a hospital?

in Shinichi's case especially, he's so fiercely independent he would've definitely wanted to take some time to think through everything himself first. He values his own ability a lot and would want to have all his thoughts in order with some form of game plan before he turns to anyone.

but I do think that he would've eventually gone to Agasa and let him know! it'll be after acknowledging there's very little he can do as a 6 year old and Agasa, who's a good engineer despite his strange inventions, likely has the resources to help Shinichi out. Stuff like faking a new identity, explaining Shinichi's absence and maybe even help him not be 6 again.

he doesn't tell his parents because his dad is his "rival" of sorts, and all Yuusaku would do is tell Shinichi what to do. To Shinichi anything his dad can think of, Shinichi capable of too. So since neither of his parents are in the country and shinichi doesn't have anything he needs them to help with, he doesn't think it's necessary to tell them. and also like, in a typical teenager fashion, he was caught being reckless spying on someone badly and he doesn't want to tell his parents because it's embarassing that he was not only caught but also now a 6 year old.

out of the detective boys, i think mizuhiko is the one who tries to learn from conan the most and conan is a massive show off so he'd really enjoy explaining everything to him which could make for some interesting conversations! this is the kind of dynamic i'd want to see more of between them!! ^^
